NT: ‘How bout you tell them a little bit about yourself’ Also NT: *tells veiwers about ND person although that person could talk/sign/type what they actually wanted to say* Like bruh why r people like this, even if our voices r different to yours it doesn’t mean we cant use it
Also something thats annoying which i kinda made up so i hope this isnt real: a parent or friend with an autistic child/friend and they think they have the right to be “thier voice” even though the autistic person isnt fully non verbak and can speak perfectly and the autistics friend/oarent are saying lies about thier friend/child and wont let the autistic person speak
Why do some of the neurotypicals that post about autistic people talk so patronisingly, I hate it when people talk to me like I’m a child it’s like bruh just bc me and u might struggle to communicate doesn’t mean you gotta talk to me like I’m 4 years old
Am I the only one that feels kinda weird about neurotypical people posting videos about the autistic people they know? I know they probably mean well, but they always feel just a tad bit patronizing to me. Maybe that's just my own defenses going up.
It’s absolutely weird, treating our lives like entertainment. Recording & posting videos of *literally anyone* without their consent is super fcked up, especially considering that the autistics in question are usually children. *If* clear consent is established, it’s usually fine, but documenting large parts of *someone else’s* life for social media is still weird, ‘education purposes’ or not.
I have a household of neurodivergents, myself included if either of my children (11&3) didn’t want to be doing videos they would not. Neither would I. I think some may definitely cross the line of a little exploitative, but would hope most are genuinely just trying to get their adult child, friend, person they care for’s work out there. They all have such amazing abilities it’s wonderful they have a platform to spread their work so far now. Children are different to me, I think there should be laws for the amount of time they can film, the money they make, and other things child actors have to do.
I call it the Tism frequently lol. I texted my boss last week when he made some joke I didn't get and it read "Oops, that's the 'Tism showing through."
I love, how he always begins in the faces, and even though, he does not know, what is coming, he draws it right out, and the animals are always well proportionated. I still draw like a 8 year old, being over 50. Loved that big popping board the girl got sent.
@@NickUncommon "I still draw like a 8 year old, being over 50." me too - I love how his mind works, its so different to mine, he is obviously tracing out an image he has very clearly in his mind.
My #4 son adhd autistic and has cerebral palsy. At 18 months we are at a new neurologist visit. He is sitting on the floor play with his 23 year old brother. Just chattering away and telling "stories". The doctor walks in doesn't even look towards them reads the paperwork and asks "does he talk? " i was like wtf... so i said "its more like donkey in shrek does he ever shut up?" Ya didn't stay with that one long....
calling an autistic person person with autism would be like using person before race. its just wrong. calling someone 'person with asian' or person with black' etc would be wrong in do many ways yet somehow this partially braindead society seems to thin that person fost will make autistics and who ever else they say you should use person first will make them feel better.
aaaaaa me too! I had to turn the sound off for it. It was interesting figuring out what combination was being drawn. Also, Trent is so good I wish I could draw like that.
Sorry but Asperger’s doesn’t exist anymore it’s just autism. Asperger’s was named after a nazzi who chose which autistic people lived and who died depending on wether they masked it or not

Yeah but some of them might not want to talk on camera
I get the point but still

The guy at 1:30 rocking those Snow White slippers really made me giggle! His sassy hair flick really tickled me 😂

I sometimes feel the same way too. But just like you said, they sometimes mean well. It's a community out there

It all boils down to whether the autistic people agree to have those videos posted or not, but you can't always tell just from watching the video...

They don’t mean well they are clout chasing and virtue signalling
I heard some people call autism, "The tism" and now I can't forget about it
yeh personally I call mine the neurospice, but I've heard that one too. i love it :)

A dash of the 'tism!
Am I the only autistic person that finds “neuospicy” and “the ‘tism” slightly cringey?

Trent needs to make a silly animal crossover picture book
Yes! He's got such a clear way of merging them all together, it's amazing
