    This video was made for a school project. It was supposed to take about 24 hours but it ended up taking me about 3 weeks from start to finish.

    This is one of the funniest DIY videos I've seen. I lost it at 02:06 I paused cause I had real tears. End product is not bad at all. Especially that color, super cool.

    I'm sure that these are the sweetest sounding speakers you ever heard, and each mistake you were able to fix made them sweeter.
    Working with wood you must have the correct tools which are not cheap and there is justification to buy them if you don't do this a lot, you also need experience and you didn't have both.
    I'm not trying to encourage you, just to state the facts, you are not worse than anyone else who'd try to do this project, you at least had the courage to try.

    I mean let's be honest it was obvious where this was going the moment you show up with the pajama pants but to be fair the end result doesn't look that bad although I would definitely use some wood filler to seal those holes but as long as they sound good it doesn't matter I guess

    • @benshipleymusic
      @benshipleymusic  3 роки тому +1

      yeah lol i used liquid nails to fill in the air holes so they're airtight apart from the port hole - they sure don't look it though i guess filler would have been a fantastic idea in hindsight lol

    Kudos to you for your bravery. I wouldn't have shared with anyone that I built those first boxes at all. Second ones were better. Clamping a straight edge as a guide for your saw would have greatly improved your cuts. Or using a table saw. Looks like your biggest problem isn't your smarts but rather your lack of access to quality tools. You're soldering looks solid. I suck at that part.

    I just spent 1hour googling 536 questions google. And checking endless specifications on speaker after speaker after speaker no articles about magnets in STUDIO speakers. Which capture ACCURATE sound. U know, like reality or our ears do.
    No1 cares about magnets in STUDIO speaker forums either. Zero data on magnets.
    All I wanted 2know is type of magnet most used in studio (STUDIO) speakers.
    Absolutely no specs I could find on any speaker dared breathed the word "magnet."
    Question. I have a a BOSS guitar amp with 2 huge speakersa butted together. Wont this cause degaussing (wear out thmagnets over time?)
    I certainly didnt watch this video either. Why would i?
    That would be like sending yr kid 2store buy an ingredient &when he asks which1 just say u know, the one in the ingrdients section. There needs 2b no mention,,,
