I like hearing your perspective as someone who doesn’t know much about art history, personally I love Mark Rothko and I think if you ever get a chance to see his work in person you should check it out and give it an honest chance. totally agree that there’s a lot of critiques to make about the Art Market as a whole though but the artists aren’t the ones making all these disgusting amounts of money
I would love to see his work in real life, I feel like I’m missing something when I look at it. Maybe I’ll do a big dive into Rothko as a video and see what he’s all about.
Art is art. The idea is that it makes you feel something, even if it is anger that they are worth millions of dollars, and even more so if a politician pays them. Seriously, art is in the eye of the beholder, as is beauty. Being critics, if I had that fortune, I would pay for other artists, perhaps with equal renown but their art does fill me up and leaves me with emotions that, seeing it hanging on my wall, would make me not regret having spent a fortune on it.

The paintings of Picasso, Mark ,Jackson and Willem were the most unworthy of being in the top ten. I am really sorry , but I have always disliked modern art, just because they invented it doesn't mean it's worth it. Oh god Im really getting mad!!! And it’s really sad not to see Van Gogh’s paintings in the top paintings! Im I very sensitive or are they blind ?? Liam you should make part 2 and put the paintings that are worthy from your point of view .

@@museumliam okay to be fair, there are modern art paintings that look very beautiful, but the paintings that do not show artistic talent, I do not consider them paintings, especially when they keep saying that you have to feel the art through them.
