Seeing all the heavy steel takes me back to laird's shipyard on the mersey as a boilermakers apprentice to my dad. This was the late 60s, The noise and smells of the place plus the fires and spark's going everywhere from different parts of the ship would be a vision of hell for a health and safety officer today. God it would be great if we had that industry back, it would give the youngsters of today some job security and the chance of a proper apprenticeship.
Please for the love of Christ, can you include a caption telling us what everything is?!? I love this channel but it would be sooo much better/educational if we knew half of what was being built! Was that big bowl one of the ends for a giant tank? I need to know! Haha

Excellent video, the security equipment?
That rail bend is impressive!!
You know how much force it takes to bend a rail! 🤯
It's incredible that humans have learnt how to make these machines
And if they were first, they made these machines without the use of machines!

The machines that fabricate are more fascinating than the things they make.
Absolutely true friend!! Couldn't agree more!! Was thinking the same thing!!
that's how the majority of the machines work

when you bend a large tube like in 1:22, is it possible for material to rip? or in general when cold forging
5:25 whats this press brake?
3:00 mins: Just Jensen Ackles dropping in to bend some railroad track. All good. 👍😂
1:43 How do they get it to offset like that to make a coil? How come the bent pipe doesn't just come back and hit the incoming stock?

@Roger Sharpe . You sound like a Tory voter.
Wow, the absolute power in those machines is mind blowing.
Steel has more elasticity than rubber 😚😚😁
Amazing. Thank you for sharing! Was not aware of many of these techniques! :-)
I want to see how they get those work pieces out after they weld the loop around the machine
I am glad I have youtube so that I can see these fabulous machines.
Get rid of the music I can’t understand why they do it just use the sound of the machine and the workshop

They have machines for everything these days, it just goes to show you, how skilled people were years ago.
Pretty sure the concept has been in practice for over 50 years? What are you getting at?

What's so useful about the involute style bender first shown
OSHA would have a field day at this place.

Lol 😂😂
Turning pottery, but with steel. Nice swaging tool
