Archer: Video Selector; repurposed as an antenna switch for receiver

I'm an idiot, don't do as I do.
Originally, I acquired in an auction lot, this Archer Video Selector among other RadioShack items. There was an FM wireless mic, Nova 40 headphones, a 300ohm antenna select, and a couple other things. Monitoring impending weather last night, I rigged together a couple receive-only antennas. Being in two different locations about the shack, I could tell a slight difference in reception. I can switch between at least two antennas, up to four on two different switches. Just thought it was neat to switch between different, band specific antennas for better reception. Most connectors are "f" female and one RCA female. The low band back-of-set is adapted with an so-239 to RCA male. Its retained by a hat, because these antennas have the tendency to rotate, if their loose on that axis. Seems to work pretty good in theory. For a short while, they didn't seem isolated by switch until I continued use, switching back and forth.

That's a good idea. I'm planning to do the same with my ham radio QRP transceiver. Hopefully it will be able to handle 10 watts or so.

Will the 75 ohm connection affect your qrp radio and antenna?

Question: what brand/model is your 1/4 wave ground plane?
It seems to resemble the SP-800/50BN on the Bearcat Warehouse web site.

I don't know, it could be. It was one of many things donated to the shack.
