*Nicely done on the scaledowns of four 2-6-0 Baldwin 8/24-D-1's built for 3'-0" track.* My ideal turn-of-the -20th-Century depiction for a similar 2-6-0 would pack an extended smokebox and Westinghouse air-brake retrofit with two pumps on the engineer side and air tanks beneath both cab flanks; the plumbing simulation would be two steam injectors shooting feedwater into preheat tubes in the extended smokebox prior to boiler injection, with one crosshead pump as a back-up boiler refiller.
The General was indeed a 4-4-0. However, this 2-6-0 looks a lot like a 4-4-0 because of the uneven spacing of its driving wheels, which was a fairly common feature in the 1870s. I believe they were designed this way to make room for the firebox in between the second and third axles.

I got mine, and mine is the Denver & Rio Grande Raton. WOW!!!! What a beautiful locomotive!!! :D
Will the Large Scale K-27 make a return?
I have this locomotive in the D&GRW Raton paint scheme. I put a Soundtraxx Tsu-4400. Great running and sounding loco.
Glad I was able to snag the all black lumber version of this loco
Fine locomotives.
Great Engine!
2 of these sets could be redesigned to be the trains from the 60s series 'petticoat junction' and 'iron horse'!
Just out of curiosity, why is the Emma Nevada so expensive?
Geez, every time I think I am going to see the cars the engines are pulling, the camera cuts away.
I want the Glenbrook! How much does it cost and when will it be available?

I love that locomotive it looks like the general from the great locomotive chase
John Thomas Isn't The General a 4-4-0 American steamer?
Walt Disney the great locomotive chase
John Thomas You sure that locomotive is really a Mogel?
Both the General and the Texas are 4-4-0 American locomotives, both from the real event, the original locomotive chase and the Walt Disney movie.
