I grew up with parents who taught me that you get home, you take off your "good clothes" and put on "home clothes" that were worn down and not so fun to really wear. And I carried this into my adulthood. It was ok while I worked in an office, but staying home with my kids for four years - then it stopped being ok. And I am so grateful that I re-learned and started showing up for myself, even if all I did was stay home all day, it gave me joy and confidence and even helped me rediscover my style. I highly, highly recommend doing it, if you're not yet!!! It really makes a difference to the inner world.
I believe you heard my internal cries for help this morning! Mornings have been the greatest source or struggle trying to get my two school age kids out the door whilst rangling a 3 year old and caring for a 2 month old. And yes, I was wandering about in my pjs trying to get everything done. Tomorrow my one goal is to SHOW UP! Thanks Avital, I've been following you since my 8 year old was 8 months old!
Thank you!!!! I love having a minimum routine in the morning and more maximum routine. If the day really is going off with a bang, I can say one quick prayer, put my hair up fresh, quick lipstick, pretty sweater, hot drink with protein in it. If I have more time, that's great, but if all I can do is the minimum, it's still enough, I've still taken care of business and myself.
I love this, thank you Avital! Adding on to that I like to greet my kids in the morning with a big hug, I feel like it helps to be connected and also gives them a dose of LOVE which hopefully helps them show up too!
Thank you Avital, your mindset is super inspiring and I appreciate you sharing it with us. My baby just turned 6 months and when he gets a bit older, I am going to sign up for your Independent Play course. I show up to the day by making sure to have my coffee while my son and I have cuddles in bed, then I do skin care while he is playing. Doing these things makes me feel that I am important too, and not "slipping away" as a person. Also, I am finishing my giyur this february. Neshikot!
Avital, I loved this video! I listened as I was getting ready for the day after a few of feeling like I was dragging and not showing up well for my family. ❤
Wonderful video as always to start a new year in ……your gratitude and patience towards life is such a great gift to teach your children and others.Bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning is my new attitude!!🌤️🐿️Happy New Year Avital and Family🎶
Our mornings function well if I can get up before everyone else, have my 30 mins to get ready, get my thoughts in order and look st my calender. Thats all I need to guide them through the morning.

Love "don't use being a parent as an excuse to not show up for yourself" man oh man, that resonates!!! ❤️

Yes! Showing up. It's so hard when you haven't been sleeping but it's so important to set the right tone in your household.
Thank you!!!!
