Me. I deliberately woke myself up from sleep to watch the MV. Then I cried.
IU is deaf/mute and V is blind in one eye in the MV. It's beautiful

Notice in there perfect world of fun the people their had covering of their head,no face showing all in black.This to means they maintain their happiness even admits nameless problems.

If the song was a gift from V to ARMY before he's going millitary, then IU is ARMY who can't hear V's voice anymore and V can't see ARMY (tru social media, ect) due to Mandatory.

I think v is deaf and blind in one eye that's why iu is guiding him throughout the MV. She's also the one who always reacts first when the cube is near. Look when I iu is tapping v before dragging him inside? Also the defects getting killed is a bit of a stretch because if they really the target of the cubes then the outside world should not be in ruins so i think this is an alien apocalypse.
For me the "box" represents what society, the media, the standard that people in general want to transform you into... and by the pile of clothes how many were lost in this process. Today, if IU and V decided to start dating (for example), thousands of "boxes" would appear to try to fit them into their own molds and would go to extremes for this, when for some people love is simply two people who are enough for each other. other.😢😢😢

yep, the deaf/mute IU and half eyesight impared V are indeed considered as defects in the society that pursue perfectness that fit in a box. So they got isolated and eradicated by such boxes of perfectness ideology.
this fits in perfectly as well with the destruction of the city (world?) outside… those rigid, unrealistic expectations, and the rejections and cruelties that come along with enforcing them on a wider and wider circle around you depending on your power and influence … it can destroy a person’s entire world. It can destroy entire groups, races, … it feels sometimes like it’s destroying the world. 😢
BUT, hear me out. The title of it is “Love WINS ALL.” Why?? The video seems so hopeless.
But… the imagery of ‘ascending’ the way they do is an odd choice for a tragic ending. What if (and this was my 14yo child’s theory) the world is destroying itself- not a stretch!- and the cubes are a rescue mission of sorts, finding and helping survivors somehow that we just don’t understand? The cubes are terrifying… but the one that got close, it was clean, and gleaming, and beautiful…
It's a lovely song and MV. Did you watch IU's Pallet when Tae was a guest? They were talking about acting and he told her he really wanted to try this concept from the series "The end of the f.. world", that he wanted to play a roll like the main character of that series. Couple of months later... we got this MV💜

The execution of the song, emotional acting, and MV was stunning. Omg whoever did the storyboarding for the MV. Wow just wow. The 2 moments that got to me the most was the moment when they first look at each other through the lens of the camcorder and the scene at the end where their clothes floats on the gigantic mountain of other clothes. That moment made me feel the gravity of the situation the MV is set in. Because it shows the number of people these giant cubes are making disappear/capture/kill. In a way the clothes are a more artsy/poetic way of representing the lives lost instead of going the more graphic route of human bodies
the director for this MV is PD Uhm Tae Hwa, the director of Concrete Utopia, a South Korean highest grossing film in 2023. IU commissioned this director BUT it's not their first work together. He also directed IU's 2018 concert VCR "dlwlrma", her 10th debut anniversary con
There’s a similar clothes pile in BTS’ Spring Day MV. I agree it’s a very poetic way of conveying deep tragedy.

The voice of Korea's number 1 solo artist does not disappoint us, especially emotional ballads. The MV is beautiful and cinematic.
To me, the message is how our world will never be without hate, discrimination, injustice and violence, but if we continue to love each other (e.g. IU with Uaenas), our love will see us through to the end. Our love will keep us together until we fade away. 🥲So instead of being able to escape, they are fading together. People didn't realize how difficult her singing was until they sang it themselves.
People think it's easy because it's falsetto. She can also make super high notes with her true voice. She has a very wide vocal range. She uses her true voice and falsetto freely. She handles the notes very delicately and virtuously.
Besides, she sings for 5 hours at a time in her concerts. She does encores for over 3 hours. Staff and Sessions are making a fuss about being hungry. So she gives a huge bonus. ha ha ha. Then they become very happy.

V perfect actor acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭

Tae had tears running down from his good eye on his face you can barely see at the end then we see her tears. I dont think I have ever cried over a music video before. Except for Spring Day BTS that also had a mountain of clothes from the kids that died in that ferry accident. So beautifully put together story wise, beautiful music and they both acted so great!
