I have this knife too and I also switched the pocket clip to the front side. However I found that if you are to pull the knife out of your pocket by the ring with your index finger you still have to fiddle around the knife and regrip the knife so the index finger can engage the flipper to open the knife and then regrip the knife again in reverse grip. So here is my way of of pulling the knife out, place the index finger on the front edge of the pocket clip, the thumb, middle finger and forth finger wrap around the ring and then pull the knife out, once the knife is out the index finger will naturally find its way onto the flipper and flip the knife open. After that regrip the knife in reverse grip. There are still a lot of finger movements to grip the knife opened and in reverse grip. Now if you are willing to spend an extra $23 you can get the SnaggleToothXL for this knife and this add the Emerson Wave feature to the Outlier. With the SnaggleToothXL installed and pocket clip in the front side you can now pull the knife out with your index finger in the ring and be immediately in reverse grip without anymore finger movement.
