I HAVE YOUR ANSWER FOR THE UNCOLORED MANUAL VS COLORED MANUAL when games get rereleased after getting a lot of sales, i.e. PS1/2/3 games to PS Greatest Hits, Xbox OG/360 games to Xbox Platinum Hits, and GameCube games to GameCube Player Choice (theres also Nintendos Greatest Hits for 3ds and Wii U), they would print the manuals in black & white to save on money for the reissue cost, cutting costs on colored ink for the manuals. when you see a platinums hits ect the game is most of the time identical, it just comes with a black and white manual. theyll generally be cheaper but if you see a game on resale for either original or platinum hits ect. id definetly get the og for the colored manual if it has it included as insert if its a reasonable price compared. if it doesnt matter that much, then the reissue thats probably cheaper is more suited from perspective of purchasing from third party sellers
Idk if anyone said why but ur manual is black and white because it’s the players choice version. Players choice versions come to be more cheaper than a black labeled copy because with a black label the manuals are in full color while players choice are discounted and made with more shortcuts to make it cheaper

Yep - a little 2:1 compression with low threshold to get a pretty consistent -5 gain reduction then bringing it back up with makeup gain would fix the audio on this vid nicely
The Simpsons Hit and Run on the Gamecube was my first game, I got it somewhere around early 2006, 17 years later I still have the disk and I finally got a case when it can have a worthy rest until next year when I make my yearly Hit and Run playthrough
@@darkstar.357 there is a second remaster. One where it's not made from the ground up in unreal engine rather retextured, and like op said all the cutscenes are being remade by the creator who learned the animation style of the show. It's super cool and highly recommend looking into it
Another thing to note is the massive framerate drop that happens in the PS2 version when driving the hover car over a certain speed, likely related to the transparency effect. This doesn’t seem to happen on the Xbox version (likely due to how much more powerful the Xbox was, but it’s anyone’s guess really).
5:05 it's because your copy is the player's choice copy and to save money those were printed in black and white. They do the same for ps2 sometimes and I think Xbox

About the manual being in black and white, I just checked my GameCube copy's manual and it's in color (I have the PAL release of Hit and Run for GameCube)
I was so excited to watch this only to come away from it only understanding half of what you said due to loud music, mumbling at points and quick speaking at points. Should have at least turned music down or included captions but seems UA-cam can’t even autogenerate them.
To answer your question. Player choice versions of game boxes are printed with black & white manuals as the games were sold cheaper than the regular version. So they cut corners by printing in black & white. The same with PS2 greatest hits
Fun Fact: Frink's Car Transparency, Sun Flare, Widescreen, and Audio Quality all have mods on the PC version to bring them up to the standard of the Xbox version. As far as I'm aware, though, the other shortcomings haven't been addressed yet, but this shows the real strength of the PC version. There's even a mod to restore the rich part of town in Level 7 that works with the missions, although a fallen pipe in the nuclear plant prevents it being used as a shortcut.
Some Creative feedback: 1. Balance out the sound a bit more. there are moments when the music overpowering your voice. 2. Try to mumble a bit less. 3. Invest in a better mic. Do a headset and studio mic combo. 4. Take time to add Closed Captions. Besides that, you have a great voice and I can see great things coming out of this channel.
Having played all 3 versions of Road Rage, I can tell you if framerate is all you care about, you may feel a bit of discomfort with the PS2 version, but the Gamecube version is just as good as the Xbox version! If you want your games to look as detailed as possible, the Xbox version is the one for you.
The best game of a generation! A remake would never be as good, it's a once in a lifetime game, the PS2 one had mini game multiplayer not sure about other platforms.
So the hit and run manual is actually black and white because you have a players choice version (companies saved money on those by printing manuals in black and white).

Despite owning an Xbox as well as a PS2 and Gamecube, and owning the Xbox version of Road Rage (better framerate than on PS2!), I didn't look into which version of Hit & Run was the best beforehand. However, a few months after my brother started college, to which he took our 30000 series model PS2, Mom bought me the then-recently released 50000 series Satin Silver console and its version of Hit & Run.
