Our grief has always been our own. Our pain, private. And yet, when the same abuses keep happening again and again, you need to share it, if only to stop the aggressor. We recognize it is no longer a personal matter when the whole community cries. It is this collective grief that we hope to channel for good, for the sake of the future generations. Thank you Sesino and team for helping us share our stories. It is not easy but it is worth it.

I can never forget how me and my siblings hid underneath our parent’s bed, while they were away to attend a meeting after the church. It was such a traumatic event most people can never forget. The date, the day, the year, remains sharp in our memory. Coincidence is that, I was still talking about it with mom yesterday (5th March 2022), not knowing this video existed. Thank God for this.

The memory is very vague, I was about 4 years old. I remember being told to hide along with the other neighborhood kids. I had forgotten about this incident and at that time I barely understood the situation. Reflecting on it now, I feel so lucky for me and my family's safety and saddened for the people who lost their loved ones.

I was five at that time but I still remember that Sunday. Our house was located on the highway just above the present KC’s kitchen, Old Minister’s Hill. The whole family was watching Star Trek. When we heard gunshots, everyone lied flat on the ground till they came barging in the house. We were ordered to go down on the highway, still remember my mother carrying me on her back, not knowing what was even going on.

I still remember how the police personals came and took me to the hospital to my injured family members. My mother was lying half dead, my two nieces unconscious n injured with blood stains, swollen and disfigured. I was told that my niece the one who died on the way to the hospital was well and taken home, but I didn't believe them. I also thought that my nephews and my brother and sis inlaw had lost their lives 💔 because they were not there when I reached the hospital. They had taken their dead daughter/sister home.
It was most horrible. I get teary when I recollect that incident. I don't want to even think about it 💔

Watching this from another state and still remember this horrific incident. My mum, bro n sis anxiously crouched and waited for it to be over as every now and then mortar shells were falling on our roof. And after few minutes we heard that our Lotha neighbour had lost their daughter n his mother also injured and we just couldn't go and console them was so heartbreaking. I know what you are talking about uncle.

My family came out to get us, we were shocked by their expression that we could not walk an inch, they carried us. Then all of us lock ourselves in the bathroom, kept Praying. A painfull time to recall. A traumatic experience for everyone who was a part of that.

She recalls of how bullets and bombs landed near her. She was traumatized which in turn effected me since I was still inside the womb. And growing up as a child I sometimes get terrified of people and little sounds for no apparent reasons. Thank you to the team for bringing out this video 👏👏

I am extremely ashamed and want to apologise for the massacre caused by those corrupt devil men in arms. I am from Uttarakhand but I have lived abroad and Japan is my favourite. After living there, I came to realise the importance of human freedom and true happiness alongside many changes in my thinking and personality.
I hope God will punish those devils for their crimes against innocent humans including children. I love North East India but at the same time if many Naga people do not want to be part of India then it should be accepted by the central government and the state government of Nagaland should support the freedom movement.
If we are not happy by being a part of a nation because there is no development, no jobs, and no growth in human life then what value will the state gain by being part of any nation? Now Russia is doing the same thing to Ukrainians against their will, in the Baluchistan province of Pakistan, many people do not want to be part of the sinking economy of Pakistan and have even picked up arms and killed many corrupt/devil Chinese and Pakistani civil servants and army men who are doing unauthorised development in that region because Baluch people want their province to be an independent and much better place from Pakistan. Similarly, in China, the people of Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and now Hong Kong are suffering.
I hope the Naga government supports Naga freedom because there is no use in being part of any nation if that place has experienced some torturous treatment by the army and no development for many years.
Love to all wise, compassionate, merciful and honest humans on Earth. In human freedom, we find ourselves and in the place of freedom, we gather all those who think like us and form a country of dreams. Even in my state, all I see is police patrols more but less development and creating more control and fear among common people who feel threatened instead of feeling safe by seeing police because some of them are criminals in uniform.

Absolutely disgusting and horrific . I couldn’t even imagine how the people suffered under the military terrorism. Countless act of genocide and terrorism have been conducted by the military terrorist in the north Easter regions and countless lives lost. Hope the sins of the fathers and their forefathers are all reaped down their generation untill the debts are cleared tenfold .

What was the reason for the gunshots and threatening by the army??

They were coming from Imphal and was reaching Kohima town, when one of the convoy vehicles' tyre bursted they started shooting randomly thinking that the naga insurgents were shooting at them.

Strength to the Nagas. As a kashmiri hindu, the indian army practically saved us from isl@mic terro rism. But every coin has 2 sides. So, yes what they did in nagaland is something they should be punished for SEVERELY. I don't know if this matter was taken to the court but if not then it should be.! The national media mostly ignores the NE.
Representation and justice is very important. I hope your story comes out as well like my community's did in the form of a biographical film..

@@munchkin54 I understand as a fellow human being.. But what's the way out of this? Can i ask you..? I mean is there any solution or the independence of the Nagas is the only way?. Genuinely asking this question. I'm also watching a documentary on the Nagas, someone in the comment section recommended..

      See we are also confused.
      1. Our leaders refuse to unite for a solution and have seperated into Factions.
      2. India plays dirty divide and rule politics
Nagas are not just in NAGALAND(It is a artificial state created only in the 1960s) it did not include other Naga Hills which are now present in Manipur, Assam and Manipur.
      3. India launched several military operations against Myanmar Nagas.
Now Myanmar Nagas live in pitiable conditions. It breaks my heart to see my people suffering this way.
      4. India never acknowledges its wrongdoings they continuously paint NAGAS as bad and violent.
Its true to some extent because even our Militants committed many killings. But India started the whole mess.
There is no reconciliation without Truth.

Yes,bring out biographical films, and create hatred amongst the people, that's what your film makers are very good at and on top of that your dung filled headed RSS hindutva creatures will go on rampage on everyone in everything.

@@munchkin54 oh ok.. Got it. My friend went to Nagaland in 2018-19 and she mentioned once that the people are innocent but they are sandwiched between the army and the militants. The army who can't differentiate between the two. Maybe the locals are involved with the militants?? But she said that the people are warm. But most weren't well versed about what they want. Now, The least I can say is God Bless✨✨ the youngsters need to come out to tell their stories.

The wailing sound's of the dead will be Heard.
Tremor will sink deep inside their Heart to the one's.
Their Gun's will Awake and Hunt them.
Their soul will find no peace.
Their feet will swollen up and carry them no more.
Their eyes will tremble when they retired to rest.
They will find no strength in enemy line.
Their offsprings will suffer unless they seek forgiveness.
Tear will dry when they meet the same fade one day.

Indian armies can't do anything against Pakistan in Kashmir, they're expressing their anger and frustrations on innocent civilians in Northeast particularly our Nagaland. They say, forgive and forget. But we must neither forgive nor forget such atrocities.
