On the morning of December 27, 1994, a firing took place in the heart of Mokokchung town between the 16 Maratha Light Infantry (MLI) and the Naga army. This led to the Indian army committing atrocities against unarmed and innocent civilians of the town. They committed arson, rape and violence, killing seven people, while five were burnt alive and eight women were raped.

On September 6, 1960, Matikhrü, a Pochury village came under the attack of the 16th Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army. This was a result of the attack on the 14th Assam Rifles at Thuda, and the subsequent shooting down of a Dakota by the Naga army.     I was adopted n was moving to my new home n new life in my hand i was holding a green parrot with red legs n red mouth .. Firing broke out n we were laying down in police point... At tat very moment I promised to myself to hold gun wn I grow up

    That day my father cross where the underground groups were impose but he don't know that they were insurgent group that time one of them saying go fast only by action after a minute later firing started but luckily my father was save . I never forget that day

    I was there too... 5years old, we went to mkg from kma for winter break at grandparents. Middle of the town, hiding inside a shop with mom dad n my elder sister.

    Even my mom's dad died after few months bcoz of the beating n my dads dad escape death by playing death while they shoot him it was at night so he escape it... I don't know which year it happened but my mom use to say... When i was a kid...
