The most trusted ship reviewer in the SC universe. Been watching you since the "Star Citizen: How to use the hangar weapon mount!" video 9 yrs ago. 😎
Awesome Video as always! Would have liked to see it the whole Cargo loading and unloading from stations.
This is the perfect overview. Shows all the interesting stuff without unnecessary fluff. Thanks for the insight.
Specific suit lockers being named is just a reminder that crew roles and functions are intended to be quite a lot more in-depth than they currently are. It makes complete sense that you'd have different suits for different professions, just as any crew has their own room and equipment in a game like Barotrauma.
As CIG has stated, engineering suits may have higher radiation resistance defenses, while pilot flight suits are specifically designed to mitigate pilot induced g-forces.
Love the video! I remember when you were doing the concept videos of these and wayyy back in the day.
Great video. Thanks
So, the most quoted movie line on this ship? "Who's the captain now? "
They did a nice job on the ship.. it looks cool. Just a pitty its gameplay loop wasnt completed in time for its launch.
The gameplay is completed. The scale in which this ship operates at, is not. Different thing.
I've waited for YEARS for this lady. A bit disappointed that we didn't get a dedicated Captains quarters (With a ship this size....), but otherwise excited what the rest of the Hull series will bring us.
The reality is that the C can even be flown solo, why would you need a dedicated captains quarters? A Semi doesnt have captains quarters does it?
@@mustrumridcully3853 Two reasons: 1) I'd just think it would be cool and 2) The MISC Starfarer has a pretty decent Captain's quarters, so I figured they'd match that layout, especially with the C being such a large ship (Which means they have the internal space for it).
Also, note that if they didn't want the captain of the ship to have some sort of prominence, why give the captain a dedicated chair?
@@SCTimbal Essentially they have just chopped out the forward section of a Starfarer cockpit. Does it need all the seats to operate? Probably not, but it was an easy lazy decision to do it this way.
@@mustrumridcully3853 Agree with you there.
Thanks for another video, I enjoyed it as always. I tried to sign up to Patreon, but realized I already was.. so I just went to the next tier lol
Thanks
Definitely a grower
Can't imagine this scaled up to the Hull E, in that the ship (and capacity) will be huge and definitely an org asset. Even this Hull C seems more of an org ship than single player, so much of the function needing more than was NPC AI could do (probably?).
That ship profile on the shield screen looks like a Giant Johnson! I should know. Sheath? Cargo Tip? Innuendo much? When you launch the ship from drydock, is it a bris?
This was great - besides the two Cutter variants, do you want to make a prediction about any new ships at the IAE...?
It looked like there was a button near the blast shield in the habitation area, would that open it to be a window or is it something else/not a button?
(also having one bathroom at the 2nd floor in the front of the ship.... the engineer in the back gotta be on top of things when nature calls, especially if the ship is in long-mode instead of [redacted] mode)
Hull C owner here; no... the button sadly does not work :(
What keyboard do you have? You made menition that your keyboard was dying and the F key isn't working right and sometimes double presses F, my keyboard also is having that issue suddenly... lol
Ship is broken at the moment. Save yourself the trouble and wait until they fix it. Hopefully it wont be long :)
The mfd display looks phallic
Poor keyboard! What are you getting to replace it?
Getting those animations to work in a engine originally based on cryengine must have been a hell of a task.
Overall the ship is more or less what one expected it to be, I guess.
To me it feels a bit overengineered for what it is, meaning you have a lot of interior fluff with almost no use.
There doesn't seem to be any kind of storage for spare parts or tools and having one seat for two turrets seems kinda silly on a ship this size.
However, the pricing IMO has gotten completely out of hand. The Hull C is supposed the basic most common hauler in the UEE, yet it's 500$?
I'm usually not this direct about ships, as a lot of it comes down to preference, but if you have 2+ friends to play with and prefer hauling things, I'm certain you'd have more fun with a Gatac Railen than a Hull C. Alternatively, if you have friends with old CCUs or trust the black market, a BMM should still be obtainable for around 250$.
Plus, a BMM gives you both Hull C and C2 loaners. That said, I don't care for this ship at all. Cargo spindle is cool, but that's about it. Will probably never use mine (loaner) apart from showing it off to friends.
And totally agree on the price. It's a basic high cargo hauler that can only trade in space.

I bet they will add artificial threats to the people who use this ship to "balance" it.
Yes, the Hulls are cool ships. But to be honest, the first time i saw it collapsed in a first look video, i also had to think about that Austin Powers scene. Guess if i ever own one i´ll know what to name it..
Technically this is am amazing ship, the spindles are exceptional. In terms of gameplay this is incredibly boring.
wow my mom owns one of these she keeps it under her pillow😂😂🤣🤣🍆🍆
