@@alexvelez2141 I have a video on the fronts. The rears aren’t too bad. If you have a coupe it’s a good time to replace the rear speakers if you need to since you have to take the back seat apart.
@@atpgarageatl I think I'm gonna have to do the same unless I get lucky and it's just temp sensor. I have the same code come up. When I scan it and watch the temps on scanner. It runs at about 175 degrees. Gauge is just a bit under half way and it's been like that since I've owned the car even before the light started to come on the past 2 weeks
The problem with overheating is there are so many things that can cause this. I would start by checking your coolant levels. If it’s low you may have a leak so I would try to determine where there is a leak. If you determine you have fluid I would then look at the radiator to see if it’s being blocked by anything that may have gotten kicked up off the road. After that you may check your cooling fans to see if they are working. Again, there is quite a bit that could cause overheating you may need to get a shop involved to further investigate.
Doing mine now as i watch this again for the fifth time. Thanks for the video
No problem! Good luck with the install
@@atpgarageatl went pretty easy other than all the coolant going all over the place . The factory thermostat was definitely better than the new one
@@alexvelez2141 awesome! Yea I noticed the oem one was significantly heavier than the one installed from orileys but it’s still going strong.

Why didn’t you actually show the steps of burping the coolant? That would have been helpful. Otherwise great video, thank you
Honestly just overlooked putting that in the video but good suggestion.
How did you disconnect and reconnect the pipe that goes into the housing?
It’s a press fit with an O-ring. You have to push the pipe into the housing until the o-ring seats.
@@atpgarageatl replace the o ring?
@@alexvelez2141 I did not

Mine just started overheating. No check engine light.... Still think I should start with the thermastat

@@atpgarageatl yeah, probably a shop. I've only worked on 25+ year old vehicles. Those you can pull a thermostat in minutes on the side of the road
@@atpgarageatl the coolant reservoir still has fluid. Is that how I'd check the level? That's where it was steaming from. It popped the lid off!
