Cold Steel - Rajah Series

- Designed by celebrated custom knife maker Andrew Demko, the Rajah II can only be described as one thing - a pocket Kukri!
Its broad, downward curved blade exhibits the best of a Kukri's characteristics -- the unique blade shape presents the thin, hollow ground edge at just the right angle so that it naturally bites deep; while its thick, wide and sharp point pierces even the toughest targets.
The astoundingly sharp Japanese AUS8A blade is supported by the Tri-Ad lock -- the only lock that could sustain the incredible impact forces generated by chopping strokes of a kukri.
The unique handle features the contours of a fixed blade kukri combined with strategically placed finger grooves and curves to facilitate a strong grasp on the knife in a variety of grips.
Despite its size the Rajah is easily and comfortably carried just like any other folding knife. Our patented Thumb Plate, also designed by Andrew Demko, allows the user to open the knife in a conventional manner with the thumb - or by snagging it on the edge of a pocket to speedily snap it open for a fast draw.
The Rajah III is basically a scaled down, more pocket friendly, version of its big brother. It shares almost all the major features of the Rajah II including the Japanese AUS 8A stainless blade, Tri-Ad™ lock, thumb plate opener, ambidextrous pocket clip, and Grivory handle.
The Rajah III represents some of the best design innovations from the mind of Andrew Demko. Over-delivering in performance while still managing to be a low-key, discreet folding knife.
A tireless workhorse and trusted companion it makes short work of the most daunting everyday cutting tasks.

I buy Cold Steel knives because they're strong
I buy Cold Steel knives because some models are ridiculously fun, like the Rajah. Even if I don't have actual outdoor usage for them they make my food prep time more fun.
Life is not only about being reasonable. Stay safe all of you :)
That blond guy with a beer belly is my all-time favorite 😂❤
I've had my rahja2 for over a year now love it the prefect going on a hike knife it does it all an never fails .
💪
Broke the tip off the R3 during the back strike test! He's not fake striking that spine!
No, they just removed the edge and tip for safety reasons. But you can always check out their IRON PROOF videos where they do the spine whack and overstrike tests in a different (and way more abusing) way.
I have the Espada L in Aluminum/G10 handles and XHP blade, have the Talwar XL in AUS-8A, have the Counter Point XL in AUS-8A, have the Luzon Large, have the SR1 in S35VN, have the Recon 1 Special edition in S35VN (only 400 worldwide), have the Code4 in XHP,............... but the Rajah 2 in AUS8A is the baddest, tuffest, most useful and thought out folder there is. I would use it over the Dropped Forged Survivalist in a chopping situation and use it over any other folder in a cutting, carving situation. This is one of the best folders ever.
That's not dog, that's the lone star legend
Picking up the Rajah 3 from Amazon today!! (Sorry cold steel your website is sold out) love ya!
Love the music.
Love the raiha series
Since when does Dog the Bounty Hunter work for Cold Steel??? LOL
I need a good strong blade for general contracting use i put my blades through hell day in & day out and i have yet to find something that can hang. This looks like it might be up to the task has anybody used it for something like that? Or just put it through hell all the time? Does it hold up?
It will hold up the tri ad lock strongest lock ever made
I am convinced.
***** 450 lbs!
Owning two Rajah II (one to abuse and one just because I think it's a thing of beauty), I'm really both impressed and pleased (but not really surprised, as your standards always exceeded my expetcations)!
Why do you guys take the point off the 3 when you did the spine whacks?
And in 4 years, no one bothered to respond to you or even upvote you. Ridiculous. Not a lot of logical thinking here.
Why was the tip rounded over in the rajah 3 ? Around the 3 min mark you can see the tip is rounded off.
Probably broke off during one of their insane tests, the tip is the most delicate part.
Safety
Rajah 3, Rajah 2 or Spartan cant decide. All seems to be great knives
The Spartan pocket clip fails. Screws pull out
Rajah 2
Just buy all of them one at a time I can tell you you won't be disappointed
i have a rajah 2, and 3. i missed out on the rajah 1. however, having owned these two. I would like to see the rajah 3, in the rajah 1 finish to match my polished espada medium, a re-issue of the Archangel balisong, and for the love of God will they finally put out the recon 1 XL in the spear point please!!!!!
WitchdoktahArms Automotive sandpaper, a little water, and some elbow grease and you will be able to see yourself in the blade. I polished the crap out of my Rajah II because the original finish seems to corrode more easily. Good luck with the Recon 1 XL.
There's one on eBay if you still want a Rajah I.
Look at this on eBay www.ebay.com/itm/162562472716
Не ожидал что Джигурда будет подрабатывать тестированием ножей колдов, красава!
Love My RAJAH II & my RAJAH III is on the way.....Getn a 2nd RAJAH II - Asap. No joke. I wanta customise my next one. I'd kill for a Titanium Handle on it 😆😎
COLD MTHRF*N STEEL Make the best Knife videos 🤣 Lynn Thompson you absolute legend - Love it maaate - From AUSTRALIA. Yeehaaa.
If Dog the Bounty Hunter uses it then you know it works😂.
I may just do that. I got the regular recon 1. It felt cheap after owning the rajah. I gave it to my son. I don't know if I'll get the recon xl unless it's spearpoint. Got my eye on a holdout 1
@David Martin Portmann
How about the liners and lateral / torsional strength around the lock?
Simply awesome. I buy nothing BUT Cold Steel. I want a Rajah ll so bad. How long is the Rajah lll?
I might have to cop this knife
This Rajah 2 or Voyager XL for edc self defense blade? I walk some pretty isolated paths daily and there has been more than one murder and chance of stray dog etc. CCW not an option as I'm in Maryland.
Rajha 2 deploys fast
3:32 who needs ammunition when you got a knife like this
4:32 "HERE'S JOHNNY!"
can you guys please!!! bring back the rajah 1 and make it look modern like the rajah 2
That would be the rajah 2.
@@kendric476
That may be true for some of the materials, but not all. I really wish Cold Steel would stop cheaping out on liners for some knives. They've been doing it for ages. It can't possibly be good for lateral / torsional strength - especially around the lock.
any one knows what happened to rajah1?
5" Spartan mabey?
Featuring dog the bounty hunter and sal volcano
I see people giving decent or good reviews for that cheap Timberwolf/Böker Magnum kukri folder, but after using it myself I concluded that it's a piece of shit toy that is better suited for opening letters than the main purpose it's supposedly intended for (The bolts loosen in 5 minutes of light/medium use, the simple liner lock failed and I cut my knuckles, etc.).
So basically it narrows down to the Rajah being the only kukri folder on the entire global market (at least from what I've found) that is worth any consideration for folding your kukris into pocket size.
In this case it's not just about getting what you pay for, it's a matter of being practically functional at all.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
***** I've carried my Rajah II for about 6 years now, and nothing really holds a candle to it, besides another Cold Steel knife. I collect Benchmades, CRKT, Gerber, Kershaw, Zero-Tolerance, Spyderco, Buck, Ontario, Ka-Bar, and SOG. I also have a $950 custom from Seki City, Japan. Rest assured, I buy the good shit and I know what quality looks like. I would trust Cold Steel over any of those other knives.
If you've listened to Skallagrim's videos eschewing the virtues of the Boker "Kukri" (snicker) over the Cold Steel Rajah, you made a big mistake, friend. His problem is that he doesn't like the bragging done by Cold Steel, and he won't be swayed by silly things like PROOF. I like his videos, but he's not perfect.
Cold Steel is one of the only production knife companies that backs up it's hype, and they have earned the bragging rights they so often exercise. Boker, on the other hand, is a cheap knock-off company that specializes in ripping off successful companies. I believe they are based out of Germany, but they might as well be based out of China.
By the way, I carried that Rajah almost everyday, and that knife is as solid as the day I walked out of Bob's Gun Shop in Norfolk with it, and I still play with this knife constantly. (Can't put it down). I've shaved my face with this knife, and while I don't recommend making a habit of that, it does hold a keen enough edge to do the job. One slip and you will be missing an ear though. I've dropped my motorcycle with this knife on me, and tore up my jacket and pants, but the knife doesn't even have a scratch. Believe me when I tell you that I have tried to find better knives, and spent thousands in the process. When you consider cost, durability, edge retention, weight and balance, fit and finish, and the care and attention they put into their knives, you can't afford not to own a Cold Steel knife.
I must sound like a company representative, I guess. Let's fix that...
Don't bother with their swords. They are overbuilt and completely lacking in grace. Nobody's perfect I guess.
Lame cassé le 1er jour chez moi 😞
Cold steel ads are so fucking corny lol
