But on streets we mostly use even heftier rusted ones to make matters worst with a smile .the little tooth like figure on the bottom of the blade is to stop the blood from running down the blade to your hand and slipping off cause it often happens when you're on a killing spree .
And they cost less than your everyday vegetable knife 5$-25$ max for show piece and 50$ max for a Genuine sirupate custom made with rosewood handle and a horse leather holder!

Gee, Cold Steel replicated the traditional, handmade kukri from Nepal and charge $600 for it. My genuine Nepalese kukris can do anything this overpriced contrivance can for a fraction of the price. Skip this South African snake-oil unless you are truly a CS junkie.
Nate Boyd it all depends on the quality of the steel, how strong you are and how sharp the blade is. You can buy a great knife with the same quality for much cheaper.
I call bull fucking shit, I have 2 Himalayan Imports, a British Mark 1, 2 custom gurkha kukris by Nepali blacksmiths made from non-recycled 5160 steel AND this San Mai CS Kukri. The originals are excellent but the CS kukri is the one I bring all the time into the jungles because of the crazy edge retention. You pay for the steel not just the brand.
Okay bud. Those gurkas in their huts with no electricity put out better products than a 600 dollar knife from CS, a knife company specifically known for the value for the dollar. In your dreams lol
Nice, nice, nice. :) A question to Cold Steel: Which knife would you recommend to a slightly handicapped person as myself (various joints in my left leg are not what they are supposed to be like anymore) for self defense purposes? The San Mai III or SK5 Gurkha Kukri, the Magnum Tanto XII or the Natchez Bowie? I personally laid my eye on the Gurkha Kukri but I am open to expert suggestions. :)
Khukuri is like knife power of axe. So, you need to balance if u going heavy thrust. . There many Khukuris 1. Khukuri carried by bride is mostly smaller than normal size and decorated. 2. Khukuri used for slaughtering animals are big and heavy. 3. Traditional khukuri are normal size which are given by our father. Traditional khukuri are different from combat Khukuries. . Every Neplese have Khukuries for self-defense in their house. There is one saying in our country, "if your enemy come to get you, overcome them."😸😺😸
For HD I think you want something that is both more threatening than the attackers weapon, of medium size, sturdy and cheap. CS' katana machete would cover a lot of that, as it have a lot greater reach than a knife, is imposing since it's big and freakish and have a lot of power. What's unique about it is its long shaft that let you control it easy in very tight quarters. Also, starting to lift some never goes wrong - u'll see incredible progress.
For all those saying its too expensive for a prodution knife, go buy a Busse. I did and it came blunt compared to my cold steel high end blades. Lynn also tells you what metal it is, Gerry doesn't. For the upper section of the market CS have the price and quality ratio nailed.

Lynn Thompson made this Kukri with the input of Grandmaster of Bando, Dr Muang Gyi (from Burma, a true Ghurka) and I have nothing BUT respect for that. I trained under Dr Gyi and am humbled to have done so. I know of no one with more knowledge of the martial arts than him and have always been impressed in every way with his spirit. Dr Gyi was incredibly impressed with this Kukri. The Bando stamp says it all.
Many blessings your way.
and when you buy one, you get to look even cooler and say "Gurkha Kukri" over and over again
You find 2 3 khukuri in every Nepalese🇳🇵 House♥️ khukuri is LOVE
I heard that it also has a thingy that can be used to make ropes near the handle, oh and a happy new year to you!
Maybe the most sexual innuendo of any video on UA-cam
Oh yeah hit that sweet spot dady
The kukri makes a bbq man smile and will de ball a intruder in a second
I just came from a kukri ceremony vid where they chop a cows head while alive wtf!!
That's Buffalo coz Nepalis are hindus too and they dont eat cow. Its the Gadhimani festival where they sacrifice a lot of animals around half million in a day.
You can tell Lynn C. Thompson id proud of theis particular product.
Finally,the proper kukri comes out
outstanding
We are nepali ..and khukhuri is our national weapon ....as u all.know ghurkas have win lot of war with this in the history and in world war as well.....proud to be nepali
"life saving cuts" O_o ;)
That's a winner!!! No doubt!
1:13 best part.
Hm. I must have missed all of those. Love your videos, love the quality of blade you make over at Cold Steel. Probably the week after I turn 18, I will be the proud owner of multiple Cold Steel products, a kukri machete to be certain.
i need this in my life
We all do ,we all do , it a combat king of a knife 4 sure.
Did you get it?
I have one of these (and other kukris by Cold Steel, they make many sizes) and no one can convince me there is a better combat weapon in the world. Dr Gyi was very proud of this weapon when it came out. No country OR company can match it! No one beats Cold Steel. No one.
ZGB should test this
@csknives I have seen the reviews and people love yours, but prefer the original for some reason....it seems that people find it more pleasing knowing their knife was actually hand made and not mass produced, but i like your stuff anyways, my first knife was one of your kukris, really good stuff
with err kirk-a-kuhkri @4:17
Fantastic Lynn!👏👏👏👏👏👏💪👏👏👏👏👏👏💪👏👏👏👏👏👏💪👏👏👏👏👏👏👊👏👏👏👏👏👏👊Ubelievable!
Proude to be gurkha😄
wrong side rider sm to u bro
well finally you are beginning to understand what ive been trying to explain to you!!! let the knives perform by actions there is no need for dialog in the video let the reviewers of the merchandise brag about the knife not the manufacturer be humble instead of trying to be the one cocky jocky of the football team
that is a good thing, but.... why someone need that?
How else do you cut your meat?

hunting.... AND THE GOOD OLD SPY CHECK
@cexyles222
NO, REALLY?
They cut it before because they were showing how many strands of rope it could cut in one swing. 15, almost 16 because of the tiny strand that was barely attached to it afterwords. Very, very nicely done cut with an amazing knife.
I would rather buy a handmade Nepalese one .
John McCarthy want some contact me.....nigen Kathmandu nepal
If you ever had a Kukri from Cold Steel.....
You would NEVER buy one from any other company or country. I have had several from Nepal and India and I wouldn't give $30 for one after buying 5 from Cold Steel. I trained in Bando with Dr Muang Gyi (a real Ghurka from Burma) and believe me, he was impressed with these very highly. I very light tap from a Cold Steel Kukri anywhere on the human body can cause traumatic life threatening bleeding within moments. You can't say that of any other Kukri that I know of.
that thing is a BEAST .thanks for the new special products edition you just sent us!!!that beautiful KUKRI is featured in there. well worth the almost 600hundred dollar price tag.I want one ASAP.I have 9 COLD STEEL blades including the KUKRI-PLUS. MUCH RESPECT Mr.Thompson and all at COLD STEEL
camera always changes angles just at impact hiding something?
ahh i see it just looks a bit dodgy on that vid hard to tell if for effects or not but nice blade anyways
true you do have great vids
andrew jackson thats becouse cold steel is bullshit
This one needs to be in Warzone 2.
Unfortunately all your kukris aren’t made with the real metal. The real kukri is only made of wootz steel.
ALL THE MEAT WAS DONATED..... GOOD LOOKIN OUT....
OH AND I LOVE MY GURKHA KUKRI!
Barely. Gets. Through. Bamboo.
A machete, that offers adequate functionality against meats and furniture. I'll pick one of these up the next time I'm planning a trip to Ikea. If I'm going into the jungle, I think I'll pick up a real machete.
Lol?
The kukri was made for hacking off limbs, not cutting couches
Pfff Gurkhas, what do those IKEA warriors know about warfare? Not like they train their entire lives or something
your ikea machete is most likely recycled out of soda cans
P-51 Thunderspit for that price it better be able to cut through a couch
This is one hell of an advertisement.
I Love it. 😆
Brett Miller You cannot compare 5160 with a sub-par heat treatment with VG1 San Mai with a good temper and expect them to be priced the same.
Okay bud. Those gurkas in their huts with no electricity put out better products than a 600 dollar knife from CS, a knife company specifically known for the value for the dollar. In your dreams lol
man i love this channel and all blades they made
theres something oddly satisfying about this video. playing farcy 4 made me wanna get myself a kukri, and this one looks very good
Cutco's been real quiet since this dropped.
robert: the dude who cuts thick amounts of rope
andrew: mr designy knife guy
lynn: the badass
Nice, nice, nice. :)
A question to Cold Steel: Which knife would you recommend to a slightly handicapped person as myself (various joints in my left leg are not what they are supposed to be like anymore) for self defense purposes? The San Mai III or SK5 Gurkha Kukri, the Magnum Tanto XII or the Natchez Bowie?
I personally laid my eye on the Gurkha Kukri but I am open to expert suggestions. :)
Khukuri is like knife power of axe. So, you need to balance if u going heavy thrust.
.
There many Khukuris
There is one saying in our country, "if your enemy come to get you, overcome them."😸😺😸
@@joyfulflame3336 - Do you have a name for the large animal slaughtering Kukri? I have heard they are called Bull Kukri.
Either of those Kukri will likely scare an enemy to death. They are both A plus, plus weapons.
O m g .. power full man and strong khukuri... woo amazing both..👍👌
Cold steel wow what a place to work cool produce looks fun testing too 👍🐺🐾❤
Our national weapon.. nice video.👍 🇳🇵
Tq u sir promoting our weapon . Jay gorakh
Now this, is a impressive video.
For all those saying its too expensive for a prodution knife, go buy a Busse. I did and it came blunt compared to my cold steel high end blades. Lynn also tells you what metal it is, Gerry doesn't. For the upper section of the market CS have the price and quality ratio nailed.
I am 99% sure Mr. Lynn Thompson owns a Lightsaber in his private collection....
