- Dechroming a VW Tiguan R. Really nice car, but the chrome really didn't suit it at all... Customer asked for the factory style night pack! check out the result!

Nice video! I have a black Tiguan R, but it has chrome all around its body. I’d love to black it out by myself with matte black stickers. Do you have any recommendations for the stickers; which brand and tools should I buy? (I’m a newbie)
Absolutely, I'd recommend arlon gloss black.... A squeegee , heat gun and a wrap glove.... Hook the ends with a small amount of stretch then squeege the middle down . Practice your trimming technique and take your time. This will likely take you a long time but will be so satisfying to DIY.

This is stunning. Might get mine booked in for some de chrome. You say at the end some of it isn’t perfect due to how hard it is. Can I ask which bits. I would probably want the window frames roof bars and lower skirt chrome bits done. So I am guessing the slightly easier bits as the front grill is very hard. 😂
The front grille was horrific to do. That will never be perfect. Thanks for comments means alot.

Hi just waiting for delivery of my new tig R. how long does that take for the Dchrome with out the roof rails but including door mirrors,as live in the south but would like to come out for the day if it could be done in a day enjoy your video. Regards
Hi nick, this job took me a day and half , HOWEVER the roof rails were quite a long piece of job, so removing this and adding the mirrors mean s with a really early start , say 8am , this could be done by 4.30.... we are really close to Birmingham central and have loads of things to do very locally also. Either way nick , i'm more than happy to advise , this costs nothing , this is a real passion for me so more than happy to help you make the right decisions R.E your dechrome work.

I've got a new R Line Allspace, hate the chrome :)
Since I took delivery they even offer a Black Pack :(
This vehicle price was 650.00 , the job took two full days to complete. The Audi / VW black line packages run into 3295 GBP so this is massive saving. Hope this helps.

Genuinely curious: Wouldnt it be easier to remove the trim pieces and wrap/spray them off the car?
My understanding is that they can be removed easily...
I wish it was so simple. Most the time they buckle on removal, and actually wrapping these without them being held by the car would take much longer and likely lead to worse quality. Genuinely wrapping in place is important to a high quality finish. Good question.

how much does this king work cost ? And for how long?
This was quite a long job..... Took around 1.5 solid days, this one cost £700.
Mirrors aswell would've topped it off
customer said No 😞 i tried.
