Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!! Without it I wouldn't have known how to take the vacuum apart to get to the cable roll. While I have a different model (25 years old, but still working well), the way to take it apart was pretty much the same.
Thank you ReddNeckTech. I had trouble figuring how to get the hood/cover off to get to the motor area. Your video was exactly what I needed to find the two rear screws.
Thanks for this detailed video. This week, for the first time ever, my 20-yr-old vacuum sucked the plug all the way into the retractable cord space (!), so that's why I need to open it up. I hit a block at 3:01: I couldn't get that back piece off, but found a different video that said to pry it from the opposite side of that piece (not the tabbed side). After 3 tries, I popped it off, and it made a very loud sound, but nothing broke. Unfortunately, I cannot get the plug to go back out through the hole it went in through! Unbelievable! Guess it's time to take it to the shop. Thank you again for including all the details. Also yes, the bags are too loose, so I tape mine in with masking tape around the opening; this keeps the bag area cleaner. Thanks to @sgtbilkothe3rd for the info about cloth bags with rubber seals. I'd never heard of those!
Did she thank you off camera for at least trying to fix it? LOL. Poorly seated bag and HEPA filter and bag area filter never changed? That will kill a motor. Thank you for the video, now I know how to get mine apart, just need to replace the cord puppies chewed through. Our motor is fine because I have changed the filters and used the cloth bags with the rubber seals, not the paper bags.

Thanks to this video I look like a hero to my wife!

That thing is a real pain in there to open
We can’t figure out how to put the vacuum handle back on

Why is there so much dirt outside of the bag in the bag compartment?
Good question, poorly seated bag most likely. Probably the source of its ultimate demise
Its poorly designed and needs a better gasket
Those tabs...Thanks man!
do you know how to open the handle to replace the wand release button?
We unfortunately don't have this unit anymore so I will not be able to help you with your problem. Thank you for watching.
wtf didnt u show the disassembly of the handle and brush roller
I have a older model
I don’t need to listen to you fighting. Thanks anyway.
Any chance you'll subscribe? 😜
LOL this is the most realistic broken vacuum cleaner video ever made.
