Best Video EVER!!! Everyone was telling me it was the compressor and other things....but it was that little door....followed your video and got it fixed......😂

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!! Without it I wouldn't have known how to take the vacuum apart to get to the cable roll. While I have a different model (25 years old, but still working well), the way to take it apart was pretty much the same.

Probably had too much ice on it once. The arm moved but the door didn't, it came apart. Such a simple fix. Thanks a lot for the vid. Ice tends to make things come apart in freezers, sometimes even the parts of the ice maker. Lol. That's why an occasional defrost is good.

That bar you thought was a guard is actually a brace that keeps the motor from vibrating. It attaches to the top of the motor and to a head bolt.

This video actually just saved me HOURS and LOTS of money. I have no idea how it happened but we had a few power outages before I noticed our fridge freezing foods. Took a look and that arm was disconnected. This has led to other problems like the water lines freezing meaning no ice as well. Excited to not have to drop money on a new fridge. Thanks for sharing! -N

I had this problem - fridge waaay too cold, and the freezer was like the surface of Pluto. Went through 100 videos - nobody seemed to have a model quite like mine (a kenmore top/bottom but older than this one) or symptoms that matched what my fridge was doing- I found if I moved the evaporator fan panel around in the freezer I could make it blow less air into the fridge, keeping the temp above freezing at least, but that obviously wasn’t a permanent fix. Then I woke up and realized that the little dangling wire that I thought was an unused lead for an ice maker (dumb I know)…that I thought had been dangling from the fridge compartment ceiling since the beginning - was actually the temperature sensor. And (in my model) it had to be threaded into the plastic air deflector (my fridge doesn’t have a damper that opens and closes) to work properly. Once I did that the fridge started behaving again (and lo and behold the compressor didn’t have to run the whole time.) Not sure whether to be proud or embarrassed, but it’s working again and I didn’t have to buy any parts…and I learned a ton about fridges.

Thanks for this detailed video. This week, for the first time ever, my 20-yr-old vacuum sucked the plug all the way into the retractable cord space (!), so that's why I need to open it up. I hit a block at 3:01: I couldn't get that back piece off, but found a different video that said to pry it from the opposite side of that piece (not the tabbed side). After 3 tries, I popped it off, and it made a very loud sound, but nothing broke. Unfortunately, I cannot get the plug to go back out through the hole it went in through! Unbelievable! Guess it's time to take it to the shop. Thank you again for including all the details. Also yes, the bags are too loose, so I tape mine in with masking tape around the opening; this keeps the bag area cleaner. Thanks to @sgtbilkothe3rd for the info about cloth bags with rubber seals. I'd never heard of those!

I assume you twisted the wrong direction or it broke. The only think i could think of is using the rod to try and fish a rope past it then try pulling eiter direction with something that can snag it. Tell me what ended up clearing it please

Twisted the wrong way. It was too dark to even see the brush. Ended up taking the chemney apart just above the stove. Ended up being a big messy job but at least now we can clean it from the bottom. 😁
