@4:06 you point out an indentation on the bottom side of the canister that is found on both models. This is for storage of the vacuum; some of the telescoping wands have a plastic knob that fits into that indentation on bottom so that you can store the canister vacuum up right and the wand vertically fits into the notch with power head attached. TBH it really takes up a lot of room stores this way but it is a way to keep everything standing upright without leaning on a wall and such.
You could see all the dust in the bag chamnber of the blue one....(old one) because the bags have no freaking gasket on them....God I hope they fixed this with the new ones....there should never be dust in the bag chamber especially with the new HEPA bags.
We have the old one on the right. Still works great, although parts are slowly breaking over time, like the plastic pieces that hold the hose on, hold the tube together, etc. I've had to rig it up in a few areas, but still going strong. Probably going to have to get something else to replace it at some point in the next year or 2.
The newer style wand/handle is very bulky, I like the older style wand/handle with the button lock. I returned mine and found the older style. Amazon was understanding The lack of a light on the newer models is a bummer. I like to see under furniture.
If the new one has a light, almost guaranteed it will be err eee dee. The old one probably has an incandescent, because that's what was done back in the day.

Finally a legit comparison that isn’t all specifications
Thank you.
