Gracias por la receta. Los tamales estaban deliciosos.
Your recipe helped me see what consistency the masa was supposed to be. Also to the commenter complaining about the salt, just sprinkle salt on them.
(Hope my Spanish is ok, I’ve only been learning for 6 months) 😂

Hi Kari, I would like to make the pork in the instant pot. How would I cook?

It would be exactly the same ingredients. Only difference is the meat will cook in half the time. I honestly prefer the instant pot but not everyone has one so I wanted to show the process of doing the meat on the stove. Happy holidays! 🥰

In your video of the tamales de rajas con queso you mentioned its 1 cup broth per 1 cup masa. Here you use 6 cups masa 7 cups broth. Do the amounts of masa/water changed depending what the tamale filling will be?
Girrrl, getting the dang masa right is my problem 😳🤦‍♀️

Yes, it depends on what kind of tamales you are making. For this one it's 6 cups of masa and 7 cups of broth. Just add 1 cup of masa and a little over 1 cup of broth each time 😊

Love your recipes. For these red chile tamales do you clean seeds out of chiles before cooking them?

So I made these today and noticed when we were taste testing them that they have no salt at all, guess you forgot to add it or what. Dang I don't know how I let that get me by, especially that the process is tideous and time consuming. Now I have 2 dozen saltless tamales for the Christmas dinner, thanks I like to be the laughing stock of the night.
