In this "my 30s and the new york city vlog", spend a few days with me as I go on solo dates while living alone in nyc :)). Over the next three days, we will dine at a two-Michelin-star restaurant, visit the MET Museum, cook Nepali food, and have a picnic in Central Park.This is a remainder that YOU don't need to wait for someone to take you on a date. Regardless of your relationship status, I highly recommend going on a solo dates and doing things you truly love and enjoy, focusing on yourself. I had so much fun filming the video!!

I don’t know why there seems to be a stigma about doing things alone,it’s perfectly normal and healthy. I understand how it can be very difficult for some people and it can be awkward but I consider it a form of self care. Thanks for taking me to the museum,I could spend all day in there looking at the exhibits

Tisha, you SHOULD'VE taken that guy up on going to dinner! You could've made a new friend at least! Also, he might know someone that you could end up knowing! Don't let those things pass you by! And at the end of the day, there's nothing wrong with going to dinner with someone with NO EXPECTATIONS of it going any further than friends! ❤ Edit: I, like you and many others, would rather meet someone in person and doing so through new friends is a great way to do so!

I missed out on a lot when I was younger bc I was shy to be alone but now I go to concerts alone lol and you'll see that humans are amazing and we're all just here on this floating rock trying to survive lol. Now n my 70s, my 30s are very much in my rearview mirror, but I still very much I enjoy your videos, and the important message that you are sending out.
When I was in my thirties it was not commonplace to do anything from a restaurant meal, a theater attendance, or even going to a movie alone unaccommpanied, and would always being asked if 'you wanted anything while you waited for your companion' to arrive. To say you were alone always got an odd look from servers to strangers,
To my great relief, social norms seem to have changed substantially, and rarely is one made self conscious when doing things solo.
Again, I commend you on the variety of your subject matter, the straightforward honesty of your presentation,
and the unbelievable adorableness of your dog.
Please do keep doing what you're doing as it is both enjoyable and educational.
By the way... I am searching my city for Nepalese restaurants as your Cuisine looks amazing. Having Indian background and a taste for slightly similar foods, your videos often leave my mouth watering.

Great vlog Tisha; you are so right about going out alone. If I waited for someone else everytime I wanted to try out a restaurant or place of interest, I would still be sitting at home. I have travelled alone for 30 plus years and absolutely love it. Do what you want, when you want. I've never lived with anyone either and I do know that at this point in my life, I never will. Too set in my ways. The Met seems to be one of the places to see in New York for new comer's. It looks so fascinating.
If and when you are ever ready to meet someone, do it at your own discretion and be picky!! Don't settle for just anyone. Your vlogs are proof that you love your own company and do very well on your own. Therefore, choose the qualities you want to see in a guy and never rush into anything.
I'm binge watching your channel and it's definitely been fun. There seems to be so much to do in New York - never a dull moment!!
I love that you're doing things for yourself! I was on a journey not too long ago investing in myself by engaging in things that I was passionate about. I started taking horseback riding lessons again and got lash extensions and manicures. Sadly I became allergic to the lash glue 😢 but some great ideas would be any kind of arts that you're into, whether it be pottery, painting, glassblowing, etc. Or active dates, like your rollerblading, horse riding, skiing lessons, any type of lessons! I myself love to go through growing opportunities and to experience new things ❤

I'll do a full solo trip with this type of energy but at home no accountability for planning thoughtful solo activities, great job! Bravo on getting dressed up for solo date, I enjoy doing stuff alone but cannot imagine going or enjoying solo fine dining. You're doing so much, it's crazy how you find time/energy - cook, dressed up, taking care of chaape, chill around. Few years ago I used to feel so uncomfortable spending time by myself. Do small things on your own and slowly you will start enjoying it. It might be awkward but it is worth it at the end ❤️

It gives me time to think, to really enjoy my food more because I don't have to make conversation, to people watch or even read a book. Heaven! Your Nepali food looks delicious! This video was great! Your food looked super fancy! Glad you decided to live your life! You are living in an amazing city, you might as well live it up! I love how you got asked if you were dining solo by a gentleman nearby, things happen to those who arent afraid to put themselves out there. You do look very young, so maybe he thought you were around the same age? The fashion exhibit looked cool. Your white dress & purse was super summery❤ your meal you made reminded me a lot of Butter Chicken, i made it awhile back & it was a lot of work! Started off by chopping 2 purple onions, cooking them until they carmelized, adding tomatoes, garlic, ginger...it came out delicious but i still think chicken curry with potatoes & carrots is my fav. Your Mom is right, the squeezable ginger & garlic is the best invention ever. I thought the butter chicken sauce would be good over french fries😂 Jhappe looked so happy at the park surrounded by nature 😊

Great to see you doing things you want to do and not waiting for a partner to do them with. I'm much older than you are and I was single for a long time, too. I decided to start doing things I enjoy (alone) and thought "who knows, maybe I'll meet someone who enjoys doing the same things." Sure enough, i randomly met my husband 2 years ago at Coney Island. We're celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary this week. (and don't rule someone out too quickly because of age - my husband is 12 years younger than I am!)

I went to see "Titanic" in the movie theatre a few months ago (they re-released it for anniversary) and I wanted to go alone because I knew I would be crying and I didn't want anyone to see me lol well during the saddest (and quietest) parts of the movie you can hear the entire audience crying and sobbing lol it was very touching but also very funny. Also I ended up seating next to another lady who came alone, yeah there were a lot of tears lol

Hi Tisha, I loved the Harlem Renaissance exhibit at the Met too. I like that you are doing more solo outings. I go to Broadway shows, art galleries, and restaurants solo all the time. I'm not waiting on anyone to have fun--and especially not in NYC where there's a ton to do! I've joined some interest groups I found on IG for a few events, but nothing beats being on your own time and doing what you want. I'm definitely adding Oiji Mi to my dining list. I just tried Mezze on the River and Aurora BK and would recommend. This is Restaurant Week, so definitely a good time to try new places.
