I cannot tell you how much it means to me to hear you talk about your appreciation for ol' skool music. I'm 62, so obviously the 70s and 80s were the decades of my teens and young adult life. And in my opinion, those 2 decades gave us the best music when it comes to the beats, the instrumentation, the lyrics, the rhythms, the melodies, and the harmonies. Also, the substance of the songs and the imagination and creativity of artists it seems to me, was better back then. So, it does my heart good when a young person like you expresses that same love and respect for the music of my generation.
*Bro! I literally can't wait for you to dive into the bands EARTH, WIND AND FIRE and the O'JAYS. Iconic 70s smooth as silk vocals. They don't make 'em like that no mo'!* 🙌🏾💪🏾👊🏾
AWB is such a great dose of Scottish Soul and Funk. Cut the Cake, Pick up the Pieces, Work to Do, School Boy Crush, Person to Person. Its worth the deep dive. Drummer Steve Ferrome is one of the best session players and toured live with Tom Petty.. Great band.
Person to Person, Cut The Cake, School Boy Crush. Some of the most soulful, funky, sounds coming from some very talented guys from Scotland! The jams they put out still put folk on the dance floor with their classics.
"Pick Up The Pieces" and "Cut The Cake" are probably their biggest hits. I highly recommend these two for your next two AWB reactions! Thanks for another great reaction! ✌💙✌
I used to hang out with Michele, the sister of Robbie McIntosh who died in an accidental overdose. Cher actually saved the life of his band mate Alan Gorrie. Have you heard the Blue Nile? Tinsel Town in the Rain is wonderful.
Hola Dreeezy, excelente interpretación AWB con su sofisticado estilo soul, me encanta. Te recomiendo especialmente reaccionar a September Morn Canción de Neil Diamond. Saludos cordiales desde Nicaragua. Hi Dreezy, excellent AWB interpretation with its sophisticated soul style, I love it. I especially recommend you react to September Morn Song by Neil Diamond. Warm greetings from Nicaragua.
SUGGESTION: SADE - SMOOTH OPERATOR - OFFICIAL - 1984 (180 mln views/15 years ago). SADE - NO ORDINARY LOVE - OFFICIAL - 1992 (177 mln views/15 years ago). SADE - THE SWEETEST TABOO - OFFICIAL - 1985 (114 mln views/15 years ago). All 3 are BANGERS !!!!! and YOUR TYPE OF MUSIC !!!!! THANKS !!!!! ENJOY !!!!!
As a musician, I’d rather jam to this tune rather than copy and paste it for my own use. If you don’t play an instrument or sing without auto tuning, and enjoy it!, you’re probably not a real musician. You’re probably more of an entertainer. It seems nobody has real time for real music, played by real people, with their own heart, feet, hands, breath, soul or minds. But the more we lack in that department or appreciation, the more “music” sounds like a honking turd. It’s something, but it ain’t music. Sorry.
School boy crush, cut the cake, person to person, if I ever lose this heaven...❤
And the DJ would say “we gonna slow it down for you lovers out there” Great song Average White Band is fire!

It's beautiful music but oh my God I wonder how long it took them to write it. The repetition the awful repetition
Your average getting spliffed and having a romantic evening at home. Yawn.
