The Machine was a simulation of 36 possible endings that the machine can do when u do all of them it turns into a Coffee machine and it does nothing unless u restart.
The restart isn’t restarting ur progress it’s making you do another outcome the machine has to offer

I just now realized (with the help of the OST name) that the card (a heart with pipes running from it) represents the machine being connected to something alive, or has something inside it that’s alive

@@ZesTofthelemon the Earth and the bubble speech saying "hi" are also two 0's on the right side, which you can input inside the number pad along with 4 and 2 as "4020" to get a half of the machine where you will input the diamond that you can't find under the D4 compartment and yeah I will not keep going because that's the longest ending in the 2D game.
That "thing" was probably the heart of the machine or something.
Because when you killed that "thing" a wired picture shows up. So for this "thing" to be inside the machine was intended.

There was some construction work on the other side and as I was looking at the giant tower crane, this song came back to me. I imagined the crane spreading legs and slowly moving towards me like an enourmous animal and this image returns everytime I hear this song.

And the machine Likly doesn't manipulate reality which is why it's scale is so small, it is just living technology but limited by its own technology. 076 doesn't have this limitation because it's able to evolve itself with the right resources. 076 only has a hour of memory and yet is still capable of beating the foundation if they make one mistake.
