I think I know why the weird baby was inside that machine, its essence of the machine. Its the thing Behind it. Lemme tell tell what I think. Have you noticed that then machine is fine after every ending? Even when there is no power, you can reset it. When you hit it with the hammer, it will play an alarm. And if it does not work, it will play music to distract the human. When the baby is broken out of the machine and is hit, it will summon blobs and a force field. While the human is taking care of the blobs, it slowing goes for the reset button because its trying to save its self. The red baby controls the machine, even when its out of power. Thats why I think it the essence of the machine. Think about it for a moment.
