High percentage of these drivers are women or Chinese! .
The last clip was so wholesome. Props to the driver for seeing them even in the rain!
Ya good awareness of the road for sure
So Vincent Teng should probably start his own YT channel lmao
So true .
8:43 I am surprised and amazed how both drivers backing up managed to not hit one another and they were essentially playing a tug of war. They were so close to hitting one another and would always save one another from hitting the other car.
it is like they were dancing.
poetry in motion haha
I also wonder if the Tesla driver use the back up camera because it clear as a day and two of the side cameras.
That Lynn Valley mall accident reminds me why I always try to back into mall parking stalls
Even the best automotive technology can’t cure stupidity!
Geeze another mom putting her children in danger 🤦🤦
I lived in North Vancouver for 40 years and can honestly say these video clips are of the better drivers!!! LOL. The quality of driving there has spiraled to rock bottom over the last decade or so.
Probably because it's either old drivers or young driver on their phones.
or asian women
The kid is going to get run over
Almost spiraled down as far as our Heathcare System has in the same timeframe. 40yrs ago our Health System the envy of the World. Now its like its being driven by one of these clowns
Man this batch really angered me. I wish the RCMP would accept this footage and take a few licenses away.
New West police messaged me and said they accept footage of serious incidents!
@@vancouversworstdrivers Awesome :). Could potentially save a life, getting some of these idiots off the road.
The amount of people I see driving at night without headlights is crazy around Vancouver
Ya and if you honk or flick your highbeams they don't even notice -_-
Remember that TV show "Canada's Worst Driver?" 3 of the "winners" come from the Lower Mainland.
Always pay attention at all intersections, even if it is a green light for you.... from this video you can see some people don't think much of traffic lights. Stay safe everyone!
These videos absolutely terrify me as someone with bad anxiety & literally just got my N two days ago.. Seeing how many of these clips are from Coquitlam is so wild to me. My instructor always told me to trust other drivers but that won’t stop me from hovering the brake near every intersection, lights or not.
Prolly shouldnt watch crash videos lol
A BIG Thumbs up to the Guys that at least Alerted the Oncoming Traffic that there was something(a kid on the Road) happening
while not a Vancouverite, I have noticed the significant numbers of people who don't understand that running lights at night don't include your tail lights. I've flashed a couple of people who were grateful & then switched them on, some others are totally oblivious. I think this is an issue of not understanding your vehicle controls.
Dash cams are a must these days.
I'm surprised more people don't have them. $150 could save you thousands of dollars if people lie about what happened
I love your channel because it's validates how I feel about the drivers out here
Lol thanks! Clearly we're on the same page then
3:21 I feel his pain. Same thing happened to me. Two years and $20k in repairs later and the car still is t sorted 😫
Thanks so much for posting these videos; I like to play 'Where is this location in Vancouver?' while watching.
Health and happiness to you~!
Someone get that toddler in the Olympics 😅
0:54 - Bridgeport Road Richmond BC - Enough said!
Vancouver is one of the best places for taking public transit, but also one of the worst, most expensive, and dangerous places to drive or own a car.
All the videos on this channel strongly convinces me never to own a car or drive anywhere in metro Vancouver.
Live in Markham Ontario it's no joke over here either
@@lostallhope675 Except Markham is much more car-dependent with worse transit service compared to Vancouver
@@naturallyherb but the driver's here are bad. The rental car company literally are making money with the insurance companies so whenever someone recks there car the go straight to car rental companies, while they get their car fixed or get a new one.
How did Vincent not win ? He has like 75% of the submissions lol
Lol! I only accept one entry per person so that if people send me a million videos they don't automatically win. I wanna try and make it even!
I think the geese should have won lol
@@vancouversworstdrivers What kind of camera does Vincent have? Also do you have a preference on dash cams under $200? Looking for something with good day and night recording automatically. Thanks! Love your videos!
@@mmmbiscuits1 I use a Viofo A119 V3. It's cheap and cheerful. The video quality is pretty good too.
0:50 Andrew raced the yellow light and is obviously going faster than 50. The fact that the Audi was making a slow turn doesn't negate the fact that Andrew was the aggressor.
The fact that the Audi crossed a double yellow line and cut Andrew off, does in fact, negate the fact that Andrew was going perhaps 10 km/h over the limit.
Sorry bud, as per ICBC driver handbook, "You may turn left - including turning left over a solid DOUBLE YELLOW LINE - if you do this carefully and safely and don’t impede other traffic..." Audi was impeding other traffic and was not doing this carefully and safely. This negates Andrew's any responsibility in this incident.
@@TerenceFung he’s speeding and running yellow lights. All illegal and reckless
@@elimcain9575 That is true. Unfortunately the fault will be assigned to the Audi as much as we disagree with the speeding and running yellow light.
@@elimcain9575 Not as reckless as crossing a double yellow line and causing a crash.
Got no sympathy for Roy @ 10:45. When you can count 5 full flashes of a guys turn signal and then speed up to block him out, you are not really being cut off.
What do you expect? Pleasantville? Sorry entitled white boy, you cannot justify failed to yield and unsafe lane change. This is like you justify killing a comedian because he hurt your feelings.
Roy had neither the responsibility nor the obligation to yield. It’s not a merge off ramp and it’s not a shared responsibility. I would honk at the van if I was in the spot.
6:20 there is an actual valid reason (for mitigating legal expenses) to do this. Simple, running a red is 3 demerit points (where im from) and will be on your record for employers and insurance companies to see. U-turns are not. You might get a ticket but its more similar to a parking ticket.
That’s one tuff duckling/gosling though, starts straying from the crosswalk as if they’re wanting to protect the group. Good egg 😉
I see that intersection in GW666's clip everyday from the SkyTrain. It is one of the weirdest designs for an intersection I have seen in Metro Vancouver.
I am a professional truck driver...the scariest hours weekly of my driving life are when I cross into the greater Vancouver area where drivers simply ignore common driving sense on a daily /hourly basis!
Lol, as a tour bus driver, I always say I'd rather deadhead to Kamloops and back rather than do a 4-hour Van sightseeing tour!!! The pedestrians downtown are even worse than the cars or bikes!
@@peterwolf1481 you should try Victoria pedestrians where everyone from the Mayor down thinks all city roads are to be shared equally....even for those with no reflectors, helmets, lights or heaven forbid common sense! I quit doing the Thursday pm run cuz I was tired of stupid people reading phones while walking across main intersection crosswalks against the green light and then giving me the finger while I braked or swerved to avoid them.
I have seen so many crashes at that Main/Mt.Highway intersection in N.Van.
That toddler had everyone shitting their pants
Turning is hard I guess, in Toronto 90% of the drivers make right hand turns into the left lane and left hand turns into the right lane. However, because these people know how hard it is to turn they often at least wait until every single car that is turning onto the same road as them goes before they go, even if it's six lanes wide.......
The video clip by AC @ 7:13 is a rental car. I work in the rental car industry. In Alberta, when there is a dash(-) beside the first letter on the number plate, that shows it’s a daily rental car. On a normal plate, there’s a dash after the 3rd digit or letter
It hurts my head how they tried stopping the toddler from running away by blocking her off with their car like she is a wild animal on the loose... How unbelievably fucking stupid do you have to be to think this is safer, quicker and easier than getting out and running in front of her... She like 5...
01:25
how to turn a dent into writing ur vehicle off 101
Scarborough Ontario parking lots are sketchy as hell too
The commentary on this video is amazing
That kid is going places in life, not college but places
Hahahahahaha the red range rover is classic Richmond 🤣
Driving in your part of the world is 'sporty' to say the least !!
6:18 This would be an intriguing behaviour to analyze for a lawyer, if you think about it. Was that a U-turn? Is there a law that says you can't pass over a crosswalk (except when you're backing up)?
Rationally, this looks like a really stupid maneuver. And yet, it affected nobody. And I don't think the folks who wrote the Motor Vehicle Act & Regs even contemplated this.
3:20 one of the worst places for an accident too. The traffic logjam in that area is already terrible, when you throw in an accident that blocks 2 of the 3 lanes it turns into a full on bullshit fest.
During the clip of the two cars backing into each other I just started singing ohhh caaaaanaadaaaa
9:22, 3 Road Canadian Tire, pretty sure that's a free for all, no signs. Also a bad blind turn.
Usually it’s the car coming from the main road that has the right of way. If there are no signs, then the car on your right as the right of way, at least that’s how icbc determine who’s at fault. I’m this case, the person who submitted the dash cam video was in the wrong. The other car has the right of way.
Yep, there's no stop sign there. It's a free for all.
How ICBC can claim its graduated licensing system is producing better drivers is ludicrous. What they seem to be pumping out are drivers who drive slowly while being entirely oblivious to everything around them.
Shit I'd be upset if my S63 got hit like that lmao
I live on Vancouver Island and when ever I make a trip over to the main land, I see
these types of situation almost all the time. some times I wonder how some of
these people get a license to drive.
Corrupt examiners & corrupt ICBC employees. Money talks. And when you're fresh of the boat with enough to buy a West Van house in cash, a driver's license is about the easiest thing to get. Unfortunately, those corrupt employees don't think about the lives they are endangering. Time to start handing out prison sentences to them.
When driving, I always assume that everyone (pedestrian, cyclist, drivers etc) is crazy or will do something crazy so that I am one step ahead and be able to avoid accidents 😂 Unless I get blindsided 😭
Yep! Even before my son started driving, I instilled in him the firm belief that everyone else out there on the roads is just waiting to do something stupid. It's a philosophy that's come in handy more than once.
Some cyclists subscribe to "the pedestrian always has the right of way" while forgetting that they are not pedestrians. When I was in Vancouver in February/March of 2020, I found the traffic lights a bit confusing. That flashing green in Ontario means advanced left turn! Although, we now have the green arrow for advanced left turns. Now, I don't know about BC, but in ON parking lots are not subject to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario. A stop sign is only a stop sign if it can be enforced by the HTA. Shopping malls put up mock stop signs, hoping you will stop, but legally, you're not required to. But you're an idiot if you risk damaging your vehicle. The worst offenders for last; ROFL! I remember in the early 2000's when I was driving truck, somewhere north of Niagra Falls, some Canada geese bringing all four lanes of the highway to a stop while they waddled across. And the US driver saying on the CB that in the states, the geese would have been run over.
That approach from Maind to second narrows is often like that. Guy's come out of the s. side of Maoutain highway, and they do not want to go on the bridge, they want to go to Dollarton.
This guy pushed past the bridge lineup and I guess just chanced it going into the Dollarton lane, where someone was already going down it (probably too fast & also frustrated from the previous intersection). In any case, be careful there; hazardous part of N. Van.
Also, Lynn Valley Mall parking lot is terrible. Always was, but with recent "improvements" to the mall area, it has actually gotten worse.
Wow this batch of videos is proof that we need more basic training/enforcement/knowledge on the roads. Driving is a privilege not a right.
Big problem with intersections that have a traffic light for one street and a stop sign for the other, so when the light is red the stop sign no longer exists?!?!?! The stop sign doesn't vanish.
Spot on. I cross at one of those several times a day. Most cars and every bike does not stop at the stop Sign when the light is red.
As a pedestrian I can cross but run the risk of being hit by a bike that does not attempt to slow or stop.
They also do not think about the car turning right on a red, the driver might be delusional and think the bike might actually follow the law and stop...
Bike riders in Vancouver think they own the road AND the sidewalks.
Asians...... Good at a lot of things, but not driving.
Hey not all asians are bad drivers wtf…..
I have a concert event in Vancouver(Rogers Place) in September of 2022(yes, 2022) and I am getting ready for it: calling my private inssurance, calling ICBC, calling my lawyer, padding my vehicule with tires all around, having a push bumper installed, setting my 5 dashcams, calling all my family and friends relative, preparing my last wills and testament, having my animals sheltered and fed by a friend, setting up a triple seat belt, padding the interior with packing material collected from amazon packages. I'm also making a reservation in a local hospital, with my surgeon at the ready, hiring a private nurse, getting my vaccinations up-to-date and hiring a second driver a well.
Maybe I'll just cancel the event, sell back the tickets, it's just one night anyways.
1:55 problem is they often don’t put do not enter signs on one way streets, relying on no turn signs to tell people not to turn that way.
✨ One of the most thrilling episode you've ever uploaded ! 😵😵
...the last clip... 😂
Great compilation 👍🌴
I’d say driving down the bike lanes is kinda common. But like I honestly understand why it happens. Cuz some of the bike lanes in Vancouver are weird and hell, and literally don’t make sense. Also there’s so many of them
My day would instantly be ruined if I was part of anything like all this....When I'm in Vancouver, (which is only about once every 3 months or so), the traffic is usually quite decent. But it could also depend on which part you're in. Although traffic here in Abbotsford....Man it's hectic everywhere. Peds. almost getting hit, other vehicles getting hit almost every 5 minutes...it's insane!
2:19... The commentary is incorrect. It's the Honda's fault not the Mercedes. The red Mercedes is allowed to turn left on to the Cambie Bridge. The white Honda is SUPPOSED to turn right only there.
Oops I thought that's what I said
Pedestrians in Vancouver are so entitled. I've actually been yelled at by jaywalkers who said "hit me! I dare you" or similar things.
See... Sonetimes i wonder the same thing too?? If i have the right of way and run the jaywalker over. Assuming the jaywalker damanged my car, but died.... Is the jaywalker responsible for my car's damages? I mean the bill can be paid from the estate right?
Just today I was driving down Victoria Dr. when a jay walker quickly clears one side of the road, then when he gets to my side of the road (where I've slowed my car down), he ever so slowly saunters across almost as an "F-you, you're going to wait for me while I take my sweet time illegally jay walking across this busy street." I'm quite forgiving when the pedestrian hustles or shows some respect...but it's the entitled jay walkers that purposely walk slower that get under my skin.
Haha. Just ONE of the reasons Im leaving Vancouver and retiring in the Okanagan.
@@DC-lu6fe No doubt about that.
Richmond: I have the WORST drivers
Surrey: Nah man, I clearly do
North Vancouver: You guys know how to drive?
@8:23 2 for 1 in the same clip. Buddy in the left turn lane passes on the right to make their turn faster onto 1st/Terminal, and then the impatient right hand pass down Clarke (?)
6:19 I’ve fantasized about doing this but never really done it lol
Toddlers can be so slippery...lose track just a couple of seconds and the kid just bolts off
All insurance in BC is NO FAULT, means if you hit someone, no body gets nothing, started may 20th, I did a video on it
Too many asians fresh off the boat combined with shady officials giving out driver's licences without passing exams or shady exam officials and this is what you get.
6:27 if my doordash doesn't do this I'm not tipping him. I don't have pride or shame, I just want hot noodles.
At 4:30 that same thing happened to me! Cyclist just crosses through when It was a green and almost hit him! Cyclists are chill when they know how to follow the laws
That’s almost round the mall
I think a lot of people are just totally inept when it comes to judging speeds and distances. It's one thing if you somehow think you can squeeze in a certain gap, but it's another thing entirely to think you can do it slow as fuck. 🤦🏻♀️
8:34 this guy doesn’t have a red light. He has a stop sign that he ran.
Vancouver needs better enforcement
Anyone who confuses the gas for the brake in a emergency situation should not drive at all, turn in your license
It is mind boggling how bad drivers are in Vancouver. Other cities have aggressive driving and assholes. But Vancouver has the highest per capita of people who have no idea what they are doing, of any city I've driven in, in North America.
Actually, I don't blame the car turning on the first one. There's more than 3 seconds passed from the start of his turn to the impact, and he's also burning through a yellow. If you see a car in the road ahead of you, your obligated to slow down and let said vehicle clear the road. You don't just plow on and say, "uh, well, they got in my way." No. They should've seen the car turning and yielded.
Vancouver looks absolutely beautiful. I'm Aussie but want to live there. You Canucks are totally awesome too. One question, why does the green traffic light flash upon its activation? Does it stop flashing for a certain time before turning amber ? I also saw people crossing the double yellow without a break in it. Is that illegal in Canada? It is here. Go the Canucks !
Not all green lights are flashing. Flashing green just means it's pedestrian controlled. It will only turn yellow once a pedestrian presses the button to cross. Crossing a double yellow is illegal!
@@jf-iw7jo hmm weird in montreal flashing green is for intersections where its hard to turn left it gives you an opportunity
Cheers for the update , it seems I've uncovered a traffic light scandal in Canada eh ! Good thing there's only 1 road in all of your awesome country lol stay safe
@@jasonleblanc1422 you are probably thinking of an advanced left (flashing green arrow). We were making reference to just a regular flashing green, which indicates a pedestrian controlled light
@@jf-iw7jo nope we have those too, all used for same reason lol
I think I'm being generous, when I figure probably 20% of Vancouver drivers..have no business driving. I worked a job in Richmond, once, we would hit a strip mall for lunch. In the parking lot of the mall, they had a few guys in vest, hardhats, and traffic directing wands..like as if taxiing freaking airplanes, simply to get these people parked.
I'm sure Blackbox is proud to give CanadianBlazer420 their reward lol.
I know its not Vancouver but having some Sea to Sky Highway videos would be interesting.
Andrew looks like he was driving too fast for conditions and also blew through a pretty stale yellow light. Bad Andrew.
Driving straight through a turning lane. This must be a new thing cuz I've seen it twice now.
The last vid, the audacity! 😂
Back in the day when I could listen to the VPD on my scanner I would hear so many people driving on International Drivers Licences as well as BC drivers licences. If they get one taken away usually IDL they would just run back to Asia and get another one. The VPD would know the repeat offenders and order a search of the car and the person driving and take all drivers licences. Some with as many as 4 or 5 licences.
I agree with you that everyone should do over the shoulder checks but also the camera guy at 10:42 shouldn't be driving in the blind spot as he was.
1:00 made an illegal left turn over double solid yellows.
9:48 Not an actual comment on the video, just an observation.
In Nova Scotia the flashing green means you have a protected left turn (equivalent to a green arrow).
It pays to check the rules of the road when driving in a different province ! Could save your licence or your life...
On the subject of lights, visitors I have from the U.K. can’t believe pedestrian crossing have a walk sign when cars have a green to turn.
In the uk all the lights are red when pedestrians have a walk sign.
This is why I don’t drive. Transit rules! ❤
Theses are the kind of drivers we get when people can’t read the English or understand what they mean! Or when someone is taking their DL test and they have a translator with them because they can’t read , or write English! wtf !
Can't wait for 8k video with good lenses. Then we can start posting the licence plates to shame crappy drivers.
I'm a pedestrian and if u think drivers are bad go for a walk around your community! Ppl have zero respect for pedestrians
Some Metro Vancouver drivers are like oblivion NPCs
7:54 that's because the person turning left couldn't see the on-coming car (which is obscured by Edvins' vehicle)
I remember driving to Vancouver from SK and holy shit there were some times ive been in close calls because the other drivers dont pay attetntion. Wish i saved all my dashcam clips from it
Also that clip of 2 dumbasses reversing at each other, thats like 90% of parking lots everywhere. I get they dont wanna turn their heads but They got their precious rearcam view and dont even bother to use it
Every day is an adventure driving in the lower mainland, Rare if you don't have a close call. Half the people on the road can't read the road signs and have no idea what the rules of the road are.
Wow that mom should have her kid taken away! How does your kid get out of the vehicle in traffic and then run away from you like that at that age? Horrible parenting!
4:12 shits like this gives TESLA a bad name. When a Tesla gets into an accident, people always blame the Full self driving system. Little did they know, TESLA drivers are the worst..
So the first crash, with poor Andrew, shows a driver who is not paying attention. The Audi is completely in the wrong, crossing a double yellow line and no turn signal, but Andrew had more than enough time to slow down. Which he should have done.
Where are the police? We need our tax dollars reimbursed if they’re not going to enforce the law
Ha ha. I like the last one!
The video in this channel is basically straightforward evidence of illegal driving activities. Do police in Vancouver care about it at all?
I am on the road all the time, it is very rare to see compliant drivers in this town. Speed limit 50 means 80 for them
I love the last case 😂😂😂
Always curious, if the video shows the license plate and the driver didn't stop at red light, can we send to police and charge the driver?
Unfortunately not. But I wish we could and get a kickback from the ticket amount. 😆
make your videos longer, its a good distraction for me lately
Lol I would but they take 4-6 hours to edit so if they were longer it would be too much
