Craftsman lt1000 lawn tractor mower won't start?

Craftsman lt1000 lawn tractor won't start. Let's find out why it wasn't getting power from battery to starter.
At the end of video I forgot to mention the carburetor could just need cleaned, rebuild or replaced if it won't start.
This mower is my grandmothers and she is the original owner since 2003. 20hp briggs and Stratton ohv engine. 6 speed transaxle. Everything is original except blades, gas/oil, wheel/tires( due to sand and salty air).

I was about to say it was a bad starter solenoid or bad starter in general. Glad it still runs. I was about to think it was a bad fuel system. Dirty carb or fuel solenoid. Like you said also a bad coil.

Don't feel bad about not noticing the blades were engaged. I'd like to have a dollar for every time I've forgotten to connect the spark plug on the push mowers I've worked on!!

seat has to have weight on it to activate switch

It should of had power running to it even I was on or off the seat.

When I pulled it out from under the shelter. I didn't see that the blades were engaged until I realized that something didn't looked right around the keyswitch.
