This is amazing, I love peoples dedication for fishrooms, building them from scratch etc. You really did a great job and I cannot wait for the new tank setups and maybe new fish you get!

    Have you insulated the cabin?
Have you looked at air source pumps for heating?
Im looking to do a similar room to breed discus

      Hello,
Yes the cabin is insulated in the roof with 100mm, 50mm in the concrete floor base, the walls are 100mm thick and the wood does perfect without any further stud/insulation on the walls.
Heating is not an issue I have found, my aquariums are individually heated and the cabin through Feb-November rests at 23-25 C, during Dec-Jan it can drop to c. 18 C, last winter I did not need to use any form of heating (radiators) and I noticed no shift in aquarium heaters running more than usual throughout summer periods.
Last summer we had a heatwave in the UK and I used AirCon to keep the Cabin at 26C during the 30-40C hot days.
This is year 2 for this cabin so I keep trying new things and if you have any ideas of what you've looked into I'd be keen to hear about them for my own tests :)
