Banyak yang sinis soal inggrisnya si mbak, tapi menurut gw lafal, intonasi dan melodinya sudah sangat bagus untuk non-native speakers. Mungkin gw bisa bantu untuk nawarin sudut pandang lain - tujuan video ini bukan untuk pamer "dengerin deh aksen gw yang amerika banget", tapi untuk menunjukkan perbedaan antara 2 aksen tsb. Setelah kita mencapai level tertentu dalam bahasa Inggris, kita akan sampai ke titik di mana kita harus milih, mau "mendekati" aksen yang mana. Nggak terlalu penting soal milih yang mana, tapi ya harus konsisten. Tapi ya namanya juga non-native, susah sekali untuk mencapai level di mana kita 100% kedengeran kayak native speakers. Memang ada bbrp pronunciation atau melodi dari mbaknya yang belum sempurna. Tapi ya maklum lah, karena mayoritas kita kan ga pake bahasa inggris setiap hari. Apalagi ini kan shooting - pasti ada pengaruh grogi. Mungkin juga karena ada bintang tamu, ngedit atau ngulang2 sampai semua sempurna ya kurang praktis. Saran saya, lain kali bisa ditekankan di awal video (atau ditulis di video description) kalau ini adalah perbedaan lafal antara american accent dan british (posh?) accent dari sudut pandang orang Indonesia. Kali aja bisa ngurangin komentar negatif dari teman-teman yang mungkin naturenya agak sinis ;) Terus berkarya ya!

Hi Everyone. ACCENT DOES NOT MATTER BUT PRONUNCIATION DOES! The most important thing/part of learning English is pronunciation. If you pronounce correctly or perfectly that means your English is good or great. You shall speak American or British but you have to pronounce CORRECTLY. My Malaysian friends speak English in Malay accent but their pronunciation is correct and perfect. Therefore, the accent does not matter. Please start with learning pronunciation before focus on the accent. Have a good luck guys/gals. ^^

The guy definitely have a convincing British accent (although a single British accent does not exist. They got alot of accent/dialects such english or posh or essex or liverpool or cockney, welsh, scottish, irish and much more) but the lady doesn’t have an american accent (just like Great Britain, USA got a lot of accents/dialects too such, nyc, boston, african-american, southern and etc)
When you tell people if you have a specific accent, it’s not just how you pronounced it. It’s how they are really talk in daily life.
The lady have a good english but not the accent. American doesn’t talk like that, she just talk like almost Indonesian would talk in english. But the guy delivers such a good British accent because he’s mimicking the dialect from Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings and etc.
Anyway this is good tho for our generation to get to know better about how to speak fluently in English, but, you guys have to say that your accent was not specific. So people would know.
I happen to know this because i saw a lot of movies with english speakers since i was four. At first I don’t realized it but long after i know a bit of their language, I started to noticed the differences.

Okay, So skinfabs doesn’t sound british. I mean he does sound a little bit BUT he used “the ancient” accent which means he used the poshy one not the modern one. Be proud with Indonesia English accent , that's your identity! Go around the world and observe , there is Thai English , Singlish, French English, Africa English, Indian English. Only ppl which going to take TOEFL test or will be stay there , compulsory to learn native accent. Otherwise you are good as you are , more focuss in phonics rather than accent . It will be helpful to learn English faster.

Inggris British lebih gampang diketahui kata²nya pada saat mendengarkannya tapi mengucapkannya lumayan sulit.
Sedangkan Inggris Amerika susah dimengerti pembicaraannya pada saat listening tapi mengucapkannya sangat mudah.
Karna itu gua lebih suka British accent.Mungkin gue orangnya beda dengan orang pada umumnya 😂
Literally English yang asli itu dari Britania, karena Inggris njajah daratan Amerika jadi mereka banyak yang menetap disana dan membuat negara sendiri, dan mereka akhirnya meminjam English menjadi bahasanya dan dan sedikit dirubah biar mudah dimengerti dan lebih keren.

M Ryan i dont think so... There is no such thing as a true british accent. Britain is made up of england, scotland, irish, and wales. And there are more than 10 different accents in britain. Some of them are cockney (londoner), scouse (liverpool), brummie (birmingham), welsh (wales), scottish (scotland), rp (standard english accent), etc. All of them are british accent. But non native speakers usually stereotypes that british accent is rp because it's the standard english accent that is usually used in bbc, oxford, or upper-class people who often give a speech and rp is the clearest british accent to listen. And afaik rp accent is used only by 5% people in britain, u can search it on google, and the rest british people use their regional accent like cockney, scouse, etc.

Well I think there is no such thing, the true British accent.
As what I understand, generally they speak English in the UK but with some different accent in every part. The biggest classification for the UK English accent is Northern - Southern.
In each part (North - South) they also speak with different Accent.
For example, the Northern English accent contain: Scouse, Geordie, Mancunian, etc and the Southern English accent contain: Cockney, Hampshire, Portsmouth, etc.
Why people more intend to the negative things than the good side from this video? :( i don't get it.
