Thanks for the great video coverage of the use of this great tool the SCUBATECTOR. I have had one for a few days and when using it experience the unit doing strange things from time to time and it requires resetting along the way. My suspicion is the tilt switch and I would like to know if you or anyone has tried Taki g the unit apart and disabling this switch as its purpose I could do with out. Other than that it's a fantastic unit for snorkelling and extremely good and locating targets. Thanks Greg from down under
Thanks for your kind words. What I'm.thinking is the unit is going into alarm mode. If the unit has not detected metal for around 10 mins it will sound and vibrate every 10 seconds or so, no need to reset I just pass it over my wrist watch or my metal finds and it resets instantly. Hope this helps GL&HH from up and over 😎😎
stephen .kershaw Stephen Thanks for the reply and info, yep got that part of it sorted but what mine is doing each time I turn it on the red light flashes and it beeps each second until I end for end it a few times then it stops and works as per normal. I have tried switching between the dive and snorkel modes and this is what it's doing every time now. It did the first two days turn in and off with out this happening. Anyhow I can live with it as a few shakes gets it sorted that's why I suspected the tilt switch and thought about removing it and see what happens. Cheers and all the best for the festive season. 👍 Regards Greg from downunder
