- Alex Jones' testimony continued Wednesday with cross-examation from the Plaintiffs' attorney. Jones was found liable for defamation in this case by default and is currently on trial to determine what amount of damages he must pay to the parents of a Sandy Hook victim.

It's so awkward, in court, when you get called out for broadcasting a picture of your judge on fire.
She didn’t look like she was in any pain in those flames.
Alex Jones is in very poor health. He's only 47, but he could pass for 67. He's a bloated wreck, and his voice is completely shot.
He’s protected by the 1st Amendment. Back in the day, they used to burn people in effigy-they would set real fire to a doll (more like a scarecrow) of the person they don’t like. That could be anyone from a zoning official to the President. It’s always been protected by 1A.

Have you learned or heard about the restrictions put on the ENTIRE DEFENSE before JURY SELECTION?
Or that during jury selection, when told the JUDGE found him guilty (not a jury) any juror who questioned that was dismissed (like how juries find defendent guilty or not guilty in a jury trial.)
OR that no one on defense can claim they are innocent, mention the 1st amendment, OR submit their own exhibits of evidence...
Has 1 objection from defense been sustained? Has 1 objection from plaintiff been pverruled?

If you want to claim that it's reasonable because people lie sometimes, then the same could be said for truthful statements, so while doing one or the other is extreme, believing that everyone is lying is far less reasonable than beleiving everyone is telling the truth., because one at least has some level of evidence (the person giving the testimony) even if it's not strong enough to be believed off that alone generally, whilst the other makes an assertion with absolutely zero evidence, that can't even be falsified because any evidence provided no matter how strong will be written off as fabricated.
That statement just means that is worst,to believe everything is true because you always have to ask twice about everything, do your own research (from several points of view, not only those you think are right) and never take anything for an absolute; because the moment you do you’ll be failing to the truth.

This here boys and girls is why you comply with court orders so that you don’t get a default judgement and have to defend everything you ever said on the interwebs
Problem with that is the court order was to turn over thing that there is no way to disprove the existence of, so the judge just said well since I don't know if there is anything you haven't turned over I'm just going to assume you didn't.
Do you know what exactly he didn't comply with? I could only find a few examples of very minor things that I wouldn't imagine could have ever lead to a default judgement.

His defense knows he doesn't have one.
His defense is the 1st Amendment, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Speech, Freedom to redress your government, Freedom of Religion and Freedom to Assemble. This should have never been brought to court and it is a show trial.
They know that the jury and judge have already made up their minds before ever setting foot in the court room.

Alex was explaining that he was so upset that some information being put out on his program was not correct and did not give out the message that he wanted to help repair whatever damage he may have done and this is why he was upset. This is my understanding.

Tabloids talk about public figures. A defense against defamation is to prove the plaintiff is a public figure. Thus, tabloids know the line they can go up to without triggering a defamation case.

Why did it take almost 10 years to take him to court?
alex jones didn't submit anything and ignored it hoping it would go away. also I heard it was more like 4-5 years
It took awhile because the parents had to find out it was him that was doing this, and then they tried out of court methods first. They sent him letters asking him to stop, got platforms to intervene hoping that would lessen the harassment, tried to move to avoid the harassment / stalking, etc. Then once they finally couldn't do it anymore and had to sue in hopes of forcing him to stop, Jones stalled, refused discovery, refused to show up, kept switching lawyers, pulled out basically every trick in the book to stall for 4-5 years until we finally get to this point, where this is the first of a slate of cases against him. That's why it took so long.
They waited for him to become a multi millionaire so they can sue him for everything
