- Tire update on the Mazda CX-5 led us to Discount Tire to get new tires!
This time we went with Kumho Crugen HP71 tires.

Dope ride I just brought the 2021 Grand Touring in March and love it I'm still trying to decide on which tires to get and if I should lift it a bit, here in V.A in the summer when we get flash floods the drainage holes overfill and a lot of streets flood and the winters can get a bit icy anyway, great vid 👍

Just several inches I don't want to take away from the look and make it look like a mini monster truck. I also want that ceramic tinting and a few more additions not too much though. Also Thanks for the heads up on the cabin filter didn't know they had those. Stay safe

These cars are beautiful. Take it mazdas are pricey ??? Also you probably said but what type of weather tiers are these?? Or did you get all around weather tiers??
They’re not too pricey. The higher trim levels can get expensive.
They are “all season” tires.
How are the tires holding up and handling various weather conditions?
These tires have been awesome! They handle amazing in the rain! I’m in Atlanta, so we haven’t had much snow, just a little ice but they handled well in that too. I highly recommend them! 👍 Thanks for the question!
How many miles did the Toyo’s last ? Mine are getting soft/squishy and braking is becoming tricky at 15K miles…and mine is a 2022 CX-5
I noticed them starting to wear around 30k. Toyo is a reputable brand, but I did notice that they wore down quicker than normal. 15k is definitely odd!! What brand do you plan on going with?
@@MeAndCarKeys I do a lot of highway driving, which is why I am contemplating between Continental TrueContact, Pirelli Scorpion AS plus 3 and General Altimax RT45. I have had really good experiences with the TrueContact and the predecessor of the RT45, the RT43 and the Pirellis with the tread life/UTQG and price look like a good option too. Let me know how your new tires are holding up, might be another option to consider.
@@CaptDavyJones what did you end up going with. I was thinking the altimax is probably the best bet. Next the Perelli I have cross climate two on my other car but anymore in my area, we only get snow maybe once or twice a year it’s cold, but It don’t snow anymore so I’m thinking something with a little less rolling resistance, might be OK
Ha, funny enough I am at almost 31K, and there is still ~6/32 of tread left on the Toyo’s. Traction in light rain is okay, but when it rains heavy I am in the right lane with blinkers on or have to pull over. Hydroplaning in heavy rain is pretty bad. Last winter up here was mild so I got away with these, but I will be replacing them within this month. Mazda offers good tire deals twice a year (spring and fall) on specific tires. Won’t be considering Toyo’s, so I will have to decide between the Kumho Crugen HP71 < Yokohama Geolander CV G058 < Goodyear Assurance MaxLife. Wanted to know how the Kumho’s have performed for you so far. They are offered at the best price at Mazda. Cheers!

Hi there! No issues at all!! I’ve gotten them rotated regularly so they barely show any wearing at all. Still as quiet as the day I got them. Very pleased with these tires!! I highly recommend them!!

That is true. They’re also expensive! I went with these Kumho tires instead. I love them!!
It is but those oe tires are junk , I mean they’re OK in the dry and warm and they’re definitely not some thing I would buy twice
