- Rabea Massaad puts our Boot Camp "True Grit" humbuckers, Strats, Teles and P90s through their paces.
The Boot Camp series has three output ranges with four types of pickup. It is available exclusively through all registered Bare Knuckle dealers.
I don't know what I want more, some Bare Knuckle pickups, a chapman guitar, or a solo album from Rabea!
I can honestly say that I put in a Boot Camp "True Grit" humbucker in my PRS because of this video. This is the sound I've been looking for. Keep up the good work. (I put a Silo in the neck position too.)
Awesome! We're so glad that you like the True Grits!
I don't think one is able to comprehend how much I am in love with this demo. Good job, Bea!
The P90/HB riff is just BRUTAL.
Dude you are absolutely killing it with these demos! Sickest demos I’ve seen. 🤘🏼
I love the way you demoe these pickups and guitars!
Just bought Bare Knuckle Trilogy set to my Custom Suzuki Strat. Will see how it sound after change....
Killed it with demo, licks and production. Well done. I need to practice lots more.
Wow. All of vids these pick ups are really clean. You can always get gain later but but can’t clean up distorted. Pick ups
Bad ass. This guy's one of my favorites
Sounds great man !!!! 🤙🤙🤟🤟🤟🤟
Bea Knuckles
dude!!! so awesome!
I installed the P90 True Grit Neck in my G&L Fallout, this P90 has considerable output, I put some foam rubber under it to raise it to the desired height and I had to lower it a bit because it was overpowering the Seymour Duncan JB humbucker I have in the bridge. It is brighter than the stock pickup that it replaced but very warm compared to the JB.
The tone is very versatile, it's loud but not in a metal way. It sounds like an amplified traditional P90 with more clarity. I would buy again, definitely happy with the purchase and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes more traditional tone but would like a little more volume and clarity. If you have a JB in the bridge and have a P90 in the neck I would strongly suggest you but this neck P90, it is the best pairing P90 I have tried. I tried a lollar and a frailin in it before, both sounded great alone but neither could be heard in the middle position. This P90 can run with any humbucker. It's loud, clear and warm. Usually when a pickup is warm and loud it's muddy but there is no mud in this pup.
J G man this was exactly what I was looking at doing. I have the fallout as well, about to replace the bridge with their Mississippi Queen. So you would say this true grit for the neck would be better than the stock G&L P90?
@@suckmyshibby after having it for sometime I think it's marginally better. I also have a Yamaha Pacifica 311H that has the same pickup configuration and that guitar has awful pickups. I put the stock G&L in the Yamaha and they both sound great.
Is this pickup noisy like a regular P90?
Nice demo of Rabea's playing. Can you do a demo of the pickups next time?
Excellent demo. I just ordered a set for my tele.
We love rabea 🤘
Killin it!!
You are awesome Bea👍👍👍👍
Does Rabea come with the pickups as a bandmate?
Echoes with the sounds, of salesmen. Of salesmen.
OMG! i want the tele set Bad!
I bought the P90 for the neck of my G&L Fallout. I'm hoping it pairs well with the Duncan JB in the bridge. I wanted a little more than the vintage voiced G&L stock P90 had but didn't want a super hot ceramic pickup either. These were listed as medium output alnico Vs so I think it will be just what I need. Now I wait.
SICK!!!!
Damn those leads are tasty!
Sheeeet. I actually bought a strat set between 1:10 and 1:25.
How bout some HSS demos? What would you suggest for an American HSS Strat to rock n roll
BTW, anyone know what the DC output on the True Grit HBs are?
Are the single coils noiseless?
I have a dimazio hot rail in the bridge and was wondering what people's thoughts were putting these pickups in the middle and neck position. I love single coils but I do love my hot rail. It's a 2006 MIM strat. Thanks for your help 🤘🎸🤘
Hi Aaron, If you could drop us an email at sales@bareknucklepickups.co.uk we can go over your guitar and tonal needs in detail to make sure you get the right model for the job!
🤘
How would the p90 version of this compare with the Supermassives?
Bare Knuckles said that it is closest pickup to the True Grit
Would a calibrated set of the strat style still have the 60 cycle hum?
Any plans to do stacked humbucker versions?
Nothing on your site about them yet?

Kinda Billy talent, anyone else?
Michał Niewazne the tone definitely, not enough minor 7th chords tho lol
Early Billy Talent, the P90 riff was on point. The rest of the song though, not really.
I Wornder What These Bare Knuckle Boot Camp Grit Would Sound Like In My Epiphone Les Paul. Troy Frost / Troyster / ✌🎸🤘 On 🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵
Anyone know what guitar Bea’s playing with the P90s?
Yamaha Revstar of some sort
Reverend I think, don't know model.
Yamaha revstar rs502 shop black
pickup model used in the stratocaster? beautiful
Thanks, I can buy, but I can not find the specifications
do you think those p90s are good for metal?
Sure! P90s are a really under-rated pickup for metal, they have such a fat, rich voice. As long as you don't mind a little background hum, or use a gate, they can sound absolutely killer!
Hey folks, do you think this PU is enough for rock/metal like Tool, Lamb of God, Intronaut, Porcupine Tree, Katatonia, ... or should I choose the Brute Force instead?
Probably fine, will need more gain from your amp though
This demo tells me absolutely nothing about the pickups. Utterly pointless
Precisely. The higher the gain, the more similar all pickup sound.
Shut up and listen then. He's showing you
@@eyedunno8462 I did. Told me absolutely nothing.
Agreed. Wanted to know how the pickups sound, but tells nothing. You can grab the cheapest guitar in the shop and make it sound like that. Good playing though, but bad as pickup demo..
