Hash brown is a popular American breakfast dish made with finely chopped/grated potatoes and fried until brown, here I have modified the dish by adding some spices and cheese to make it the Indian way. This recipe can be prepared in less than 30 minutes and it is a handy recipe during the busy morning times. I have shallow fried the potato patties, if you want it extra crisp add more oil and fry till its brown.

Potatoes - 3 medium-sized
Onion - 2 tbsp
Spring onion - 2 tbsp
Cheese - 1 tbsp
Egg - 1
Chilli pdr - 1/4 tsp
Pepper pdr - 1/4 tsp
Salt
Garlic chopped - 1/4 tsp
Rice flour - 2 tbsp
Maida/APF - 3 tbsp
Oil
