Had this dish last night in Fiji served with chocolate caramel sauce and ice cream. Can't wait to get back home and try it. Of course the coconut cream here was fresh.
I have heart and cholesterol issues, so may try this substituting crystalline Stevia for the sugar. Stevia is a plant and has zero calories. It's available from Australian supermarkets both as white crystals like sugar and in baking, also in crystalline form.
To make it even healthier, I might also substitute the white flour for almond or coconut flour.

if you want to avoid the coconut cream congealing when you add to sugar, add butter first

can i use any oil if i dont have coconut oil?
You can use but the best is to use the coconut oil to get the flavoured cake.
