    Hi, I am trying to decide between the 5770 and the standard master touch 5755 without the Hinge lid; I see that the ring and plate are a huge benefit but is there still issues with the hinge after a fix? and with Gasket tape - basically is it not worth the risk and just to get the standard master touch because of the lid not closing - or is it resolved nowadays/ fixed with the hack? what would you recommend between the two models?

    • @finnishchaga
      @finnishchaga 2 роки тому +4

      @@daleadmire1451 Hi Dale, I went with the 5755; the old school style without the hinge. Basically I feel that Weber has not been able to deliver a competent hinged lid, try one in a store if you can; it just does not seal and even with the hinge hacks online and gasket tape I still heard that it leaks smoke ie heat so if you are into smoking then that is a problem. I think it will take the second iteration before it’s worth buying and just stay with the tried and tested version that works and has no faults, that is my opinion. Hope that helps, let me know what you are planning to use it for and if you have any questions?
