I just wrapped up a Kicker Key 180.4 and Kicker Key 500.1 install in my Tacoma on the factory head unit, partially due to your videos highlighting the products. Love your videos guys, keep up the great work.
Great install
good morning from the central valley California
I’m in Sydney Australia
I love your advice, recently purchased a 2021 GWM CANNON X with a great big screen and poor sound- any advice on ramping it a little would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Heck yeah
I Has 15 frontier crew need that box for 12” or would like one for slim solo bardic thanks for what u do stay safe
Iam looking at getting a kenwood dmx1057xr for my truck what is your thought on it and other units like pioneer wt8600 and alpine help 9.
what is the difference between tesa fussy tape and hockey tape?
2022 Bronco with OEM amp. How do I wire Kicker 500.1 to only the OEM subwoofer? Do I tap into subwoofer speaker wires? Do I even connect Kicker Amp to OEM amp?
My 2015 mirage. I replaced the stereo. Mainly because the stock stereo, up to about 35 was fine, but when you go to 40, it was louder, but after a few minutes would drop down BELOW the 35 level of loudness. Almost like the stock head-unit was overheating and then forcibly lowering volume to stop any issues from happening. Stock speakers AND aftermarket speakers this happens. It was fucking horrible. So the only fix was to grab an aftermarket head-unit. IF I went back to the stock head-unit, I would probably buy the rockford fosgate version which was a sound package upgrade for the mirage that my car did not have. But the radio can be bought from dealer and installed in any model of newer mirage. so I could do that and see if the same issue occurs.... but i haven't decided. plus im still waiting for my spinal cord to heal.
A bit of heat gun on those panels. And pry carefully.
I can't find that T-Harnes. I will do your same setup, but can't find the T-Harness.
What’s the best way to hook up BOTH Key amps? Videos of vehicles using both have been on the channel but never how they’re wired up. The 500.1 AND the 200.4 both tapping into the same speaker wires?
If you are going to use the 4 channel for front stage only and the mono for sub, yes tap the front output of the radio only
What's the output voltage of that stock head unit pls help
So much for a simple install. I wanted some more bass, but not to this extent. Nice install video though.
couldn't get him to spring for a little bit sound deadening??
Speaking of pickups... I have a Ram quad cab with a blow through that leaks. Do you guys have any recommendations or even videos that go over boot installation or tips and tricks? I’m tired of having a swamp under my rear seats 😭
More than likely coming from your third brake light. Very common issue on these trucks.
@@hunter13605 yes but I can also see it dripping in the center of my cut out. If it was the brake light, wouldn’t it be running around the sides of my back glass?
@ 12:00 yeah people don't wanna replace the oem headunits because there is also so much other functionality built into the head units now. Tesla put a giant screen in their cars so now every manufacturer wants a giant screen. Never mind in 10 years the audio standards and format standards change and now you are stuck with a car stereo that is a PITA to live with.
But stuff like the kicker key is a nice in between solution to keep the stock headunit but get better sounds out of it.
First of all touchscreen radios and big screens have been around way before Tesla, Also any functionality that you have in the OEM radio you can also have an aftermarket radio! People don’t replace head units because they simply just don’t have the money! My last radio was a Kenwood DNX7100 and I just replaced it a few months ago with the Kenwood Excelon Reference DNX997XR, There is no factory head unit they can even compare to this new Kenwood!
Does this t harness work for the 22 frontier s non fender going to lc7 to lc800.1 and lc 800.4?
I'm about to do this same thing in my frontier. Did you find out if you could use the tharness in your truck?
Do y’all vacuum customers cars once you are done doing the installs??
They vacuum before hand.
Hello, I am looking at purchasing the NFC55C10 from Audio Enhancers for my Nissan Frontier. What 10 inch subwoofer would you recommend for this box? I'm not looking to be heard a mile away. Just something that sounds good for classic rock.
Where can I get the t harness that's awesome
Did you ever find it
Has anyone ever complained or noticed that their seat was not level anymore because the amp mount raised raised one or more of the seat mounts? Princess and the Pea"? Just curious.
I have a 2001 Subaru Outback which makes it 20 years old. It has electronic seats that move forward, backward, forward tilt, rearward tilt, up and down. I'm pretty sure I can adjust my seat for a 1/4" piece of pvc plastic. Unless you're driving Fred Flintstone's car, I think most modern cars can accommodate this adjustment.
Rockford Fosgate..... they _used_ to make decent products.
There Amps are still good just too pricy
@@akidim13 _pricey?!!?_ i just checked C'field. all but 3 amps are under a thousand. they do have a bunch in the $800 range. for that kinda money...you could step up to Mosconi AS.
then....youd be doing something. ive gotten so addicted i might need treatment.
my amps?..... two Mosconi Zero 4's and one Zero 3. i could never go back.
@@googoo-gjoob bro no one uses masconi way over priced imo, that’s just a over badged amplifier , it’s like the Infiniti to Nissan , guaranteed my RF amp puts out the same power output
@@akidim13 hahaha, thats what all the dreamers use as their excuse.
its not about power, its about _clean power_ .
and you dont have to go all the way up to Zero line. the Pro series is mighty close.
try it, youll never look back.
and as for " no one uses" ...maybe not in the SPL world
visit a few SQL competitions.
Do you think only truck videos are worth uploading or do you guys only work on trucks? Wheres the sedan love?? 😂😂😂
The only non-Texans who are cowboys fans are from Tampa Bay.
He should of just put all Rockford Fosgate same stuff...🤔
Why
So it's about $650 worth of products and accessories and $12,437 for installation! Haha, just joking. You guys do a great job but you do so much more than even other decent shops so I am wondering if installation at your shop is significantly more than at other places? The good places, not the hacks.
This was easily a total of 3k plus to the customer , no doubt, I would never pay any shop to install , I learned when I was 17 and broke and now have the set up of my dreams 8 years later and all done myself
Where can u get that box
HI FROM ARIZONA... 2ND.
