    I just ordered a set of replacement rear shocks for my 17' C300 coupe with AMG Sportline and glad I found your video to see this was indeed a DIY. The dealership wanted $1300+ to replace. I replaced rotors/pads last fall and saved a ton off a service center/dealership. Thanks for posting and I'll look for your future videos

      I am so glad you found this video helpful and appreciate the feedback. Mechanically speaking, MB's are designed to be serviced easily. When it comes time for your next repair, which shouldn't come too frequently because these cars are pretty solid, a little research will probably have you ready once again. Thanks to your feedback, I will be sure to post as much Benz repair content as I can.
      Thank you, thank you, thank you

    Do you know how to adjust camber on the rear my right side is a bit off to the left side

    • @TCBGarage143
      @TCBGarage143  4 місяці тому +1

      There is a cam-bolt on the inner end of the lower control arms in the rear, but before you go adjusting anything, make sure all of your bushings and ball joints are good. These cars don’t go out of alignment unless an adjustment point has come loose or if a bushing/joint or more than one have worn out or failed. This is all assuming the car hasn’t been wrecked or damaged in any other way. If you do find yourself needing to make adjustments to the rear, don’t forget to also correct the rear toe. I hope this helps.

      @@TCBGarage143 thanks but my left wheels is way less camber than the right side after installing lowering springs

      That’s a good sign that something is wrong. Make sure the ride height is the same side to side and closely inspect the bushings and ball joints.

    When you remove the screws from the shock absorbers, do the nuts stay in place?

    Is the ride harsher firmer ? or better in term of comfort...i dont know if i should get b4 dampmatic or sachs....

    • @TCBGarage143
      @TCBGarage143  8 місяців тому +1

      The Bilsteins I installed are the same as what my car came with from the factory, just a superseded part number. So the ride is restored to what it was before the one shock went bad. The suspension geometry, shocks, struts, springs, tires, and wheels on this car having the sport package are the same as what the C63 came with, which is a firmer ride than the non-sport suspension setup. If you have a non-sport car and are curious about switching the shocks and springs over to the sport set-up, the ride is a little harsh if you have a bad back, but only the tiniest bit. In fact, it’s a three part procedure in tuning the ride you’d want; tire profile, springs, and shocks/struts. I hope this gave you the info you were looking for. Let me know if you need any clarification and thank you for your comment.

      What size of torx are upper mount bolts ? The arm bolts are probably not torx right ? I hope not

    • @TCBGarage143
      @TCBGarage143  8 місяців тому +1

      I don't remember the exact size for those. But if you plan on continuing to work on and upgrade your car, do yourself a favor and go to Harbor Freight and buy both a row of all of the Torx sockets as well as the inverted Torx sockets. They will not go unused. The whole car is held together with these.
      Just curious, from where did you order your Bilsteins?
