Cassidy, You would not believe how many 2" pots of Tokyo Sun I have killed! I tried raising them indoors under grow lights first. I had planted them in a circle around an aeonium and they looked great. Then one area about the size of the pot they came in died. So I ordered more and filled in the spot. Often they looked wilted, some days they looked better than others, and seemed to respond better to a little more water. I had to be careful not to over water the aeonium. I decided to put them outside since both type of plants are supposed to enjoy sunshine. We have had more rain than usual and it has been very hot-90's. I worried the extra rain would bother the aeonium but instead the Tokyo Sun plants are shriveling up and dying! I love the color of these little plants but maybe they just don't do well in Kansas? I used Bonsai Jacks gritty mix so they have good drainage. I'll be eager to see how you're do. Looking forward to your update on this project. The box and arrangement are beautiful.
I’ve just learned to add cinnamon to fresh cacti cuts... it helps heal, anti fungal and bug, and promote rooting.. this is beautiful... can’t wait to see update vlog
Yeah it's 2020 and I was trying to tell the little one to move away from those spikey things! Like pressing on the floor of a car when someone else is driving.
I love all the textures and heights! Awesome job! ❤️👏👏👏Love the design elements. I also love all the colors. Love the rocks, too. ❤️ I have always loved rocks. I love collecting them along river banks and along the landscapes around beaches. 😃 I also use them in my arrangements. 😃 Your babies are cute. 👶🏻👶🏻😊
I love the barrel cactus in the arrangement! I haven’t been brave enough to handle a cactus yet. I also like the large rocks. It will be fun to watch the arrangement Change and grow.
This is absolutely beautiful, I have a mound in my front yatd that i am going to do this to. Love the Laura Eubanks comments, love her, went to see her in San Diego
I like the way your arrangement ... so beautiful , thank you for sharing I have 5 or 6 succulents the same like yours at the moment but doesn't know the name , and I've learnt now and get the name, thank you . At least I can find from online how those plants need to be look after ... I usually plant my succulent or cactus individualy in one pot
I hope your table have strong support, dangerous for your kids especially if they go and play underneath. I love your video tutorial. Thanks! for info. 🌹
Hello! I saw your reply to a comment below saying the placement of this large arrangement was too exposed to the sun and the heat. I would LOVE to see an update and how things progressed. For those of us who live in places that get really HOT (Texas), it would be informative to see what happened. I really like your channel because you show everything - the good and the bad - so please show us the ugly! An update video of what happened would be most helpful and very interesting. I'm getting ready to put a smaller version - 20-inch diameter planter - of a cactus arrangement in the humidity and heat of Houston, TX. This year a large number of my succulents died...most likely from the summer heat . We had many weeks over 100 degrees. So sad. :'-(
SO GORGEOUS and looks like you all had a lot of fun!! :) I wish I lived in a place that would allow for large, outdoor arrangements like this -- Michigan is so unforgiving >.< Sorry about your mealybugs! Hope they're long gone now!
Awesome video! Keep em coming!! I actually had fun making a succulent arrangement recently using watch chain, some little rossette succulents (don't know what kind) a aeoneum pinwheel succulent, a couple of itty-bitty leaves that had sprouted and a tiny jade plant. :D
Heyyy girl I’m a November girl too...17th! 🎉🎉🥳 this box turned out amazing 😍 I’m so jealous of your birthday cactus, I’m going to have to go back and check your videos for the name of that beauty! Do you ever use rooting hormone, and why or why not?
Thank you! :) My birthday cactus is Myrtillocactus geometrizans forma cristata "Dinosaur Back." I haven’t ever used a rooting hormone and I haven’t had any problems getting them to root.
It looks like a bunch of these are tender succulents. I think you are in Utah so I'm wondering what you are doing to keep them safe and happy in the winter. I think you said the planting was done in January and it looks to be outside.

Yes, although I'm afraid it's not a good one 😔 Turns out the area we had it ended up getting full sun in the extreme heat here in Arizona. Most didn't survive 😭 But I'm putting together a video all about why it happened and what I'm going to do about it.
It’s gorgeous! I love your work, thank you for being a great succulent channel! I find your videos so visually pleasing to watch, too!
Thank you so much! Glad you've enjoyed the videos 🙂

Great tip and thanks for all the good advice! I am a fairly new addicted succulent lover!
What was the name of the large succulent you got for your birthday? I really like that one and also love that it is a fast grower!
Natalie Crenwelge It's called Myrtillocactus geometrizans cristata 😊

Looks very amazed good job
Very nice, Thanks!!! I like the texture and variations in height.
I have total planter envy right now; I wouldn't be able to leave something like this outside year round where I live now!
Beautiful!!!! Im very impressed!

Love this arrangement!
Very helpful tips on planting!
I'd love to have an arrangement that big one day!
I’ve had zero luck with Tokyo Sun. I adore the look but every time I’ve tried to repot into anything other than a nursery pot it dies on me 😭
Love your videos. Wish I had a patio to do this project.

Hi, is there an update video on what this large planter arrangement looks like a year or two later?
There isn't, but we appreciate the suggestion :)
Very nice! Thank you for the video.
Thank you, for all good tips👏👏👏👏👏👏
I’m in Phoenix,AZ. What brand are you using for sandy loam and where did I buy it? Thanks
I'm not sure what brand it was, but I got it from Pioneer Landscaping
Did you put those holes in the box to avoid moisture?
Yes, drainage holes are to allow water to drain out through the bottom so the soil can dry quickly
It looks like a bunch of these are tender succulents. I think you are in Utah so I'm wondering what you are doing to keep them safe and happy in the winter. I think you said the planting was done in January and it looks to be outside.

what was the name of the farm that you ordered the flats of succulents from?
Mountain Crest Gardens :) Here's an affiliate link to their wholesale flats (which are available to anyone): mountaincrestgardens.com/wholesale-succulents/?aff=2
I have ordered from them, as well. Never disappointed.
The repunzel plant is called a Sarcostemma Viminale in latin
Thanks for the tips!
Update please!
Cool
How do U kill the bugs
This video will walk you through how to do that :)

Yes, an update on the large succulent & cacti arrangement. Oh boy, do I want my husband to build a huge planter just like yours!
