I just have to take a moment to thank you. I am new in this whole world of succulents. Everytime I hit a bump in the road, or have a question bred of mere curiosity, your channel has the answer. You are so thorough and ACTUALLY informative as opposed to so many of these other channels. So, I guess all I'm saying is, THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!
This was super helpful and really well done, I’ve had many of these issues in moving arrangements outdoors and hearing you talking through it and show us what is going on was great.
Awesome video! Keep em coming!! As nice as succulent arrangements are, I only have one and can never understand how on earth they get the plants so smushed in amongts themselfs like that? This is why all my plants have their own pots. Ever last one of them.
Once again, a great video and wonderful info. My heart is always so happy after watching one of your instructional videos because I know my plants are going to be doing much better afterward. I have learned SO MUCH from you and appreciate you letting all of us benefit from your expertise! Sometime, could you address putting succulents outside in the Midwestern states? Our nights can get cool (but not necessarily cold) during the summer months. Our temps fluctuate so much between days, and day to night. Is it even wise to put them outside at all? I always think that plants would love to feel "wild and free" outside for a bit each summer, but maybe I'm not doing them any favors by putting them out there. Thanks once more for all your wonderful instructions and info. My plants and I love you for it!
Incredible video congratulation you just covered about every subject that I had a question about and covered just about everything that is happening to my succulent here in South Florida. I just have only one question that you can help me Are there succulents that grow satisfactorily only indoors and are there succulent that can grow satisfactorily under the direct sunlight, or all succulents can be grown under direct sunlight if they are gradually exposed to the sunlight? Thanks 1 million and keep the great job you’re doing.
I'm glad I was able to answer your questions! There are some succulents that do much better indoors than outdoors. Each succulent has different needs. I recommend visiting www.typesofsucculents.com and looking at the different categories to find one that does well in your growing conditions.
I have gnats up the wazoo! I have always been a plant person and now I am into succulents! So I have the both of them....anyway I have had house plants and never had gnats but I do now! And the gnats seem to come from the plants not from the succulents. I can let the succulent soil dry out but not the plant soil so I am between a rock and a hard spot! I am using a vinegar and dish soap spray....but found it most useful to hear apple cider vinegar! I am willing to try anything!!!
Are you able to quarantine your succulents from the other plants? If you can do that, and then use the soap and vinegar trap to get rid of them, that would be best.
I really like your channel and enjoy learning more about the wonderful world of succulents. On this episode I agree with kmills400 I would have loved too see the end result after all the explanation. Thank you!
My succulent's bottom leaves are bumping off quite easily and it's only new. I try not to overwater it but nothing is rotting or shriveling, simply falling off.
I'm making arrangements and trying to find the best succulents for this. The succulents in the pot seem to be outdoors. What are the best succulents for indoors? Thank you so much!
My succulents look fine but the slightest touch or bump will make seemingly normal looking leaves fall off. Is this a case of over watering or not enough light?
Is an arrangement supposed to be established plants or are they like a flower arrangement and are mainly succulent cutting that you need to wait to root?
The main problem is the original planting. The plants are way too packed, and they clearly had different growing conditions before they were combined. Granted, the "fruit salad" bowl planting looks very pleasant, but it's at best only a temporary decoration.
Mealybugs create a sticky web-like substance on your succulent, usually in smaller spaces like by the stem. Check out our blog post or video on it: ua-cam.com/video/cCx9YHSj6ik/v-deo.html www.succulentsandsunshine.com/kill-mealybugs-on-succulents/?.com&
Succulents don't like to sit in water, you can look at this post for help potting them: www.succulentsandsunshine.com/yt-plantsuccs Make sure to let them dry out completely for a few days before planting 🙂
This is a good video with a couple good points, but everything (mealy Bug damage, sun damage, dehydrated, too much sun, too much heat, etc..) would have been more clear to relate to what challenges viewers are facing if the camera would get more close to detail for everyone to see. Also, including before/after images is helpful
I keep finding small spiders in my succulents and snake plant. They are NOT spider mites, which is all I find when I google. They are small house spiders, smaller than a pinky nail. Any idea where they are coming from/ how to get rid of them? Maybe they came with the plants? Do spiders enjoy succulents?? lol. Help! (:
Most spiders won't each succulents but they do tend to each bugs that eat succulents. So if they're lingering, there's a chance you have another pest too...
It ended up getting destroyed in the Arizona summer heat. However, if I could go back... I'd keep it inside under bright grow lights until the bright colors came back and the plants looked more compact. Once that happened, I'd chop off the tops of the tallest succulents and plant the cuttings elsewhere, leaving the original stems to grow new offshoots. I'd also be careful with watering and use the "Soak and Dry Method" along with the "Taco Test" to make sure I'm not over watering. Soak and dry: succulentsandsunshine.com/yt-watering Taco Test: succulentsandsunshine.com/tacotest
This was a helpful video, however, watching you actually clean up and rehabilitate the planter would’ve made it more helpful. Please show us the end result!
I am enjoying your succulent tutorials but I have to say that the background music is distracting and competes with your voice. It really doesn't add anything to the video.
There is a fantastic product by Bonide but I'd use it only if you're growing succulents . I say non-flowering & indoors because we want to protect the pollinators. It's called Systematic Granular Insecticide. Just pour it on the top of the DRY soil (no need to remove the top dressing) and water it in. Not only will it kill anything that eats on your succulents (except for spider mites 🕷) but it will kill fugus too and say good bye to fungus gnats. It's a wonderful product, I use it if and when the little beasties show up. I haven't seen them for the last year or so. 🪦Maybe they decided my place is not healthy for them.🪦tee-hee.

Annette Meireles-Camargo I am on the same boat and totally agree!!!
Thank you so much! I'm glad I can help!

now have another reason to look forward to the weekend. Cassidy on Sat or Sunday morning!!!! Great way to start my weekend morning
You're very informative. Basically answered most of the problems I'm having with my succulents. Thank you.
You are very welcome! Glad it helped :)
Super helpful! My indoor arrangements look SO different now than when I planted them earlier this year due to massive stretching.
This is INCREDIBLY helpful. I love that we can see everything you're talking about! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!!
I love this one. I have to get one . Thanks to info on keeping it healthy.
I have never tried this one. Thank you for the info. I might have to try one now.
The cold brings out color, i learned something new, i am in Socal so i look forward to seeing this
Great tip and thanks for all the good advice! I am a fairly new addicted succulent lover!
Awesome video! Keep em coming!! As nice as succulent arrangements are, I only have one and can never understand how on earth they get the plants so smushed in amongts themselfs like that? This is why all my plants have their own pots. Ever last one of them.
Would have loved to see how you replant the arrangement and the new look afterwards
Very informative - I’d also like to see the end result! Could you just add a still photo at the end then repost it?
This helped me decide to dismantle an arrangement I bought at the big box store!
Awesome! I'm glad it helped!

I loved this video it helped me with my aeonium. I started burning it and didn’t understand,, but when I watched this video it helped.
Christina, you're a winner! Please email me at info@succulentsandsunshine.com to claim your free t-shirt! :)
Thank you! Very helpful. Those beautiful arrangements start looking dingy after a while.
Great tips! Now I'm curious to see if I can convince my succulents to get some great cool weather color before I have to bring them indoors.
This is really helpful information
I learn something every day!
Wow! My problem is lack of full sun. Great video
Thanks! Another excellent video tutorial 👍🏽
Thank you! :)
Thanks for your awesome tips!
So helpful thank you! I love your videos too!
So helpful ❤️❤️
Great video, but the music is a bit loud.
Thanks for the feedback :)
Great video! Thanks Cassidy!

so hopeful thank you
Thanks! 🌹

I have a sedum that has started to close up, so I'm going to slowly increase my watering schedule and water before the sun is up.
How do you know your plant has mealy but and what is the treatment? Thanks

I rooted some string of Tears in water. How do I put them into soil where I don't lose them?
Succulents don't like to sit in water, you can look at this post for help potting them:

Make sure to let them dry out completely for a few days before planting 🙂
Is it possible to keep an arrangement (or any succulent, for that matter) indoors if you have a good grow light??
Absolutely! Read more about grow lights here:

P.S. They are pronounced as 'Ekevaria', not 'ETCHevaria'. Otherwise, love your vids!
Thanks for your feedback!
I am enjoying your succulent tutorials but I have to say that the background music is distracting and competes with your voice. It really doesn't add anything to the video.
Or turn it down a lot more?? Agree though, turn it off or down in composition so your excellent video speaking shines through!
Like the information you give, but the music is so distracting and annoying. It really takes away from your video.
Thanks for the feedback!
can we see process instead of hearing you talk for the whole video?
