0:00: 💡 Retinol can be beneficial for the body in addition to the face for improving the signs of skin aging.
3:50: ✨ Retinol can help improve skin maturation, reduce dryness, and smooth out skin texture.
7:24: 🌞 Retinol can improve the appearance of sun damage, but it cannot erase it completely.
11:37: 💆‍♀ Cellulite is a common skin condition that affects the lower extremities and can be improved by building muscle and using retinol.
15:24: 🌟 Retinol in body products is usually weaker and unlikely to cause harm, but should be avoided during pregnancy and on open or inflamed skin.

I’ve been using the Gold bond retinol cream for several months. I’ve noticed there is no more blotchy color especially on my upper arms. The texture is smoother and less crinkly. Another bonus is I have less age related random bruises on my forearms which used to be a big problem.

I put tretinoin on my hands and arms. have been doing this for a year or two. my hands are really nice, I just turned 50 and they are better than they were 2 years ago. Crepiness is gone and most of the sun spots have gone as well. the arms I didn't really notice so much but I am sure the crepiness has decreased to little or none. I have been using tretinoin on my face for 8 years for acne and it works fine for it but mostly the best thing is I have very few wrinkles and sun spots have improved so much

This is hands down one of the craziest products I've come across.
I bought a tube several weeks ago to see if it would do something about the crepe skin and hyperpigmentation on my forearms from sun damage, and the results were noticeable IN ONE NIGHT.
A few days later I was looking at the ingredients and decided to slap some on the back of my thighs (after showering) where I have some keratosis pilaris. I can confidently say that I got about a 60-70% improvement IN A WEEK.
So I got a little more creative and curious, and threw some on my poor cracked heels....
Do I have to tell you the results? 😂 This stuff is amazing. AND IT'S CHEAP!!!

After 8 months of use, while also trying out some very spendy creams from boxycharm, only 1 brand could be used without needing a layer of GB Overnite Ret on top to fully moisturize my verrrrry dry skin (moderate natural dryness + desert-like climate). Ole Henrickson strength trainer seems to perform equal to it, but is $51 for 50 ml, and the GB OR is $17 for 385 ml ($1/ml vs 5cents/ml). Sheer lunacy to buy luxury creams. The fancy ones are fun & interesting & the glass jars are great, and it's been nice learning what's out there, but I'll be cancelling my boxycharm after December, and i have no concerns about my skincare lol. My gold bond lineup has me covered, add some frugal inkey, ordinary, and iherb products, and I'm set!

Hello , how many times would you recommend using a retinol on the body? Like every evening or just a couple days for a period of time ,say like for a month and then take a break from it ? And also do you have to take a shower in the morning everytime you used retinol the night before to rinse it off before going on with your day?thank you

Gold Bond retinol over night gave me a terrible rash ALL over my body and face. I have always used retinols and have had no problems before. I have had a terrible reaction to it. Please be cautious if you decide to try it.

Dr Dray, those white spots you mentioned …. can a tattoo of just plain skin pigment be used to fill that in to conceal? And would that be a safe thing to do? I have an olive skin tone so white spots really stand out.

Dr Dray, this product transformed my face and body! Urea is my holy grail occlusive AND humectant. Could you look at the crepe correcting formulas? I have no illusions that lotion can stop time, but the formula looks spectacular for very dry skin that does not hold moisture well. Ive been using it, alone or mixed with Pure Moisture in the AM to lock in my spf. And in the evening, if my skin is realllly parched (it's extremely arid where i live), I'll use the Retinol Overnight with Crepe Corrector on top. I have both the GB neck & chest firming cream and the CVS crepe smoothing body lotion, but they appear to be essentially the same & the body formula is elegant & refined enough to use on the face. Im just curious if this will be a helpful routine, or just nonsense with too many layers? I do use 1-2 very light creams under the GB retinol overnight, but those seem to behave like creamy serums more than true "face lotion," at least with my level of dryness. It's prob mostly environment, i have no visible barrier damage, but my skin can absorb a huge amount of lotion and oil.

So, I have been experimenting a bit with tretinoin. I am currently using Retirides which is a prescription tretinoin from Spain. It has been formulated with lactic acid, urea, and more. And it has been miraculous on my face. I was also able to clear 2 big spots of seborrheic keratosis that had been on my back and under my breast for years! Currently treating a genital wart, and it has already shrunk to about 25% of its original size. It would be interesting to know Dr. Dray's point of view on tretinoin for off-label use like warts, different forms of keratosis, and who knows what else. It has also cleared a huge patch of a red mystery condition on my foot. My doctor has no idea what it was. But over a few months of using tretinoin there, it completely vanished. If I could only take 1 item to an uninhabited island it is tretinoin. My super miracle cream.

Hey Dr Dray, one of my burning questions about retinol is can it be used safely on tattoos, or will it fade them? I am tattooed head to toe and would like to know before I incorporate a body retinol. Thank you if you reply

      @irisk934 Рік тому +1

Great question. I have tattoos and I use the Gold Bond retinol over them. I don't see a difference in the fading. I think tattoo specifically get into the second layer of skin or the dermis while retinoid products stay on the epidermis, but I would rather have a dermatologist answer. Just remember to apply sunblock over your tattoos
