I assumed India was already a formidable powerhouse, particularly since 2015. Since 2015, they have had a higher win ratio than any other team under any circumstances.

In ICC tournaments from 2011-2024 apart from 2012&2021 we qualify for knockouts in every ICC international tournaments regardless whatever format it may be (T20, Odi, test) 2012 we ware not qualify because of run rate but 2021 we played very badly.And now you will going to see supremacy of Indian cricket in next 20 year's.👍
Player to player, India had it better since 2019 WC. The problem is they were unable to cross the line in knockouts. I hope they beat Aus in WTC finals to break this myth, even though we have won this T20 WC

Any whiteball Indian team if they play 10 games with any other whiteball team they will win 7 games at the very least of the 10 games every single time. They just need to win more ICC finals from now on and be fearless.
I am Indian cricket fan. India has been a powerhouse of cricket without too many major ICC trophies to show for it. Australia lead the way and that too by a distance. I know India won the 2024 T20 World cup but still. That was the only major trophy India won since 2013. In a way I want India to win major trophies but I also do not want India to sweep up everything. That will be so boring! I want - "Sport is a great Leveller where who performs best on a given day wins" to be true all the time.
We keep thinking it will become boring if India starts winning trophies consistently. It just won't happen. Sports is not algorithmic. There's so many factors involved in winning a game. And India may have great young talent but they need to be groomed properly and planning has to be done perfectly to build a great team.

I am surprised they werent mentioned. With the exception of the most recent world cup semi, they give everyone a game. And their team is still fairly young. Yet they STILL seem to be under the radar and not spoken as much as even Sri Lanka or the Windies

A friend of mine worked with India women team and later with Rahul Dravid as a support staff. Her perception why India was not able to win ICC tournament was the pressure of expectations. But she also said that it will change with IPL. IPL matches will be high pressure matches than ICC tournament in future.

Ind and SA produces the best cricketing talent hands down. But still SA haven't won anything and Ind won after 11 years. So it's not everything about talent it's how you manage the talent and pick the best one.

As an Indian cricket fan, conversations like these make me uncomfortable. Dislike being praised and labelled as a powerhouse. I guess I’m from the underdog era of Indian cricket and I’m used to that feeling.

India has been powerhouse since 2011 WC and it's very obvious because of our big population, we started winning most of the games after 2011, so much so that i got bored and stopped watching cricket
Only problem with indian cricket is so much expectations. Indian players are in tremendous pressure and that's they faulter in finals . We have entered in finals of many ICC tournaments without losing single game but due to tremendous pressure in finals even BANGLADESH would favourite against india in finals .
No one will dominate T20, it comes down to skill plus luck.
we can have all the supply of great talent at our disposal but they seem to hava a lack of desire or temperament especially in 50 overs and test cricket ,ipl easy money may have played a role in that .Australia , South Africa and New Zealand are the teams to watch out for the future.

They are not giving Abhishek Sharma chances even after his ton against Zim. Selectors prefer Gill as an opener to maintain the right left pair (which is odd). SKY comes one down. I dont think Abhishek Sharma would get enough chances to boost his confidence in T20I. They will give him sporadic chances and he will play like an insecure player and then he will be a gone case.

My beloved Chapri, the best team in the sense that they have a higher win-loss ratio against every team since 2015, whether in India or outside. After 2015 India was considered favorites to win the title in every ICC tournament along with couple of other teams. The ICC competition finals and semifinals are anyone's game at any time.
