Since then I must have watched this clip over a hundred times, and I STILL laugh and the tears still roll down my cheeks. Did anything interesting happen after "the world fell out of my arse"? I lost it at you losing it, and had to watch that bit five or six times - I couldn't get past that point.

Al Murray does his live show in the persona of The Pub Landlord, a misogynistic Patriot who particularly hates the French and the Germans. He has a degree in history and effortlessly weaves distorted historical facts into many of his routines and generally starts his shows by praising/ demonising members of the audience sat in the front rows which is obviously not rehearsed and is off the cuff.
