AMERICAN REACTS TO MOST NAUGHTY FOOTBALL CHANTS IN ENGLAND | BEST FOOTBALL CHANTS | AMANDA RAE

- Hey guys, it’s Amanda. Today’s reaction is perfect timing in light of the Euros, plus it has been highly requested as apparently my first attempt was rubbish and very tame so I’m going to give the Funniest Football chants in England a go. I’ve heard some of them are pretty offensive and I should brace myself, so I don’t really know what I’m getting myself into haha
As the UK goes, is it more exciting to be a part of the euros or is the world cup still the one you all look forward to the most? Im guessing there’re both equally as hard to compete in, or are they? Where are the worlds best teams from, in or outside of Europe? Let me know in the comments
The Adam Johnson chants are very much real
So are most of the Jimmy saville chants
Yes, Adam Johnson was a Sunderland player who was found guilty of sexual offences involving minors. They played at the Stadium of Light, as mentioned in the (incorrect) captions
@@waynelawton4946 most? lol
@@comawhite39 :) yea most …have you seen how fast a sheep can move? There’s no way he shagged all the sheep lol
@@garibaldilebeau I'm getting the word...........NONCE!
Love how she’s horrified at what’s being said in the chants and I’m here singing along in my head like it’s a nursery rhyme
XD same here
Lol
@@God-gi9iu even god thinks its funny lol
hahahaha i was doing the exact same thing....they are catchy as fuck
True
While most football chants are banter, they are all born out of that all important grain of truth (or stereotype)
Que dam busters march "We all hate Leeds and Leeds" 🤔 I suppose you're right there!
@@stephenbayliss7661 we enjoy being hated and everyone loves to hate us. It's plain fun really.
He's one of your own, he's one of your own, Jimmy saville , he's one of your own.
@rossomac21 leeds fans are edge lords. Oh look how offensive we are, we are so funny.
Fuck off
You can tell Amanda has been in the UK for a decade, she understands our humour without being offended and seems a genuinely good laugh
I've never been to the UK, but I love your humor and your chants at the football matches, especially. They're absolutely brilliant.
@@jeffburdick869 when the pandemic ends if you decide to come and watch one just be careful as football is getting more violent
@@sebby324 Really? I've been under the impression that a lot of the hooliganism that occurred in the 80's has really been cleaned up.
@@jeffburdick869 not even close, you go to a 10AM kick off in league 1 and bob the builder will be on his 19th pint already
@@pinzo4137 So you're saying that because he's drunk, he's more violent? Haven't English Football fans gotten piss ass drunk on match days for decades, though? What is causing an uptick in violence?
Americans faces when they hear these chants are priceless 😂. It's literally normal life for us here
Yeah man I love it 😂
Yanks are completely foreign to football culture, completely different breed altogether from a foreign land over 4,000 miles away across a vast ocean desert in a completely different continent in a different part of the world altogether.
But football culture is massive thing to people born in Eurasian nations, Europe especially.
It's pretty much a causal conversation in Great Britain. Wat a beautiful country we live in.
I was trying to pick up on the goalie in MLS goalie. I got woke'd
True
Nothing stirs the National pride in my fellow Brits more than using the language of Chaucer and Shakespeare to accuse an opposing teams supporters of explicitly inappropriate sexual behaviour with domestic livestock. Makes me proud to be English 😆😆😆
This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, ...
Always remember Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once....
After all Men at some time are masters of their fates:...
Lol
Nick - Eton / Harrow, Oxford / Cambridge ?
Best thing I've read today, nearly spit out my tea
Nick mate that reply is priceless 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and very true 🤣🤣🤣
What really creases me up is the BBC live match commentators who say over the air: "We apologise to those watching at home who may have picked up some bad language on our microphones!" as if a football match should somehow be equated to attending a Sunday School picnic.
But where those chants heard live?
@@carlosmpsenyorcapitacollon6977 yeah everyone in the stadium (players and staff including) can hear it, can also be heard on TV if loud enough but they usually have directional mics pointed at the pitch so doesn't pick loads up from the fans
Chants like this make me proud to be English
Same 😂 only we could come up with this stuff
Until Italy comes knocking
@@markolitvic6981 😑 no country has better chants than us.. it's just facts
LOL Oh really! Glad I'm welsh!
Same
Chanting at the opposition's goalie is pretty standard. There's never any offense taken, as you can tell at the end when he applauds the crowd for their energy and they clap back at him for being a good sport.
it's brilliant!
Not in UK but I dont have count on how many times I have made similar chants at oppositions goallie.
If you don't heckle* the opposition, are you even a football fan? It's required, nay, essential
*and by heckle, i mean verbally abuse them, their family and probably any and all pets and livestock.
@@LincolnImp also a small polite mention of any injuries or their ability to drive may also be softy called out 😂
When Joe Hart received dogs abuse at Turf Moor he smiled and said well, it's all meant with love isn't it ?
Yeah the chants about Adam Johnson ate true, he was convicted for child grooming
Ah I had no idea
@@AMANDARAEUK It was more than just grooming, shame he only got 6 years and is out already
@@markduffin9192 well its not like people dont know what he looks like
@@AMANDARAEUK I think the girl in question was 15 years old and he allegedly didn't know she was underage.
@@AMANDARAEUK She said no, Fergie, she said no. Wife beaters aren't safe from British crowds either.
One thing that makes me love these chants so much is how they are made up on the spot and yet the whole stadium still manages to know it word by word and chant along
Football chants in the UK are literally brutal. Hilarious but brutal. Just part of our culture
Amanda you’re voice is so relaxing. 😊💙
Also as an Englishman, I can confirm; that video is 💯 % fact, the lads just never let up in a Football match 😂🏴
Thank you :)
Your face at the first video Amanda was priceless :)
I’m an American who’s lived in England for 15 years and I can personally confirm I have seen some of this crazy stuff while living here! 😂😁
The thing is we are brutaly honest in our chants
not so much in "our" spelling, dear, apparently..... get a monster chant going round the ground, smashing, Ellie.
Well… brutal, anyways
" Let's all wave at Fatty !!".... that goalkeeper is the prime example of a Sunday League player... straight after the game, into the pub, 6 pints home for Sunday dinner and fall asleep on the sofa watching Antiques Road show...🤪
Shame Bullseye isnt on any more.....
Who knows .!!
Maybe he drinks 6 pints 2 VKs blue , goes home and fist is wife.
also 3 vodka lemonlades
Savile makes Adam Johnson look like the nice bloke next door.
Jimmy Saville was OK. He fixed it for me to go camping for a weeked with Gary Glitter
Your expression at the first couple was priceless…….whereas for some of us this was just a normal Saturday afternoon. 🤣
🤣🤣
The song about Adam Johnson is actually true because he is now in prison.
Got released
Mate he got released like 2 years ago he only served 3 years
He’s out now, probably coming to a play area near you
I love the way she looks shocked but just laughs anyway.
She’s a funny girl
I'm Scottish yet I found these English chants to be really funny.
Go on England. I hope you will win the Euros. (You won't, but I hope you do)
Well atleast we are already home if we do lose lol
Thanks, My Friend.
Are you English in disguise? :P
@@PellitTube I'm Scottish through and through.
I have no desire to hurt or offend my fellow Islanders. I'm a Glasgow Celtic supporter but that is in no means that if Glasgow Rangers make it to the European cup I don't want them to win, Liverpool, Manchester United. Manchester City, Aberdeen, Dundee United...etc, etc. I want them to win.
Same With England. Wales, Scotland, N.I. In a major tournament. I want them to win.
Bigotry is a waste of my time.
Wee timorous Beastie.
Of course, I am a Sassanach, can nae ye tell ?
This is why I love football. Being in the stadium and ripping into teams and fans is so fun. Makes the NFL look like a day at whacky warehouse
English football fans sure don't take any prisoners! I love it.
I like how Amanda is the only American I've seen reacting to these who understands what most of the chants are referring to.
Give her a couple more years and she won't be as utterly horrified by them.
she may just joining the chorus enthusiastically and feel alive and great afterwards..
@@jphalsberghe1 Or maybe lose her top over them???
"The referees a bastard" and "who's the bastard in the black" are classics.
Once heard someone shout "referee, I question your parentage" in a really posh voice. Had me in stitches!
don't know if you remember the legendary pundit Jimmy Hill. he was at a Liverpool V Aresnal game once and got drafted in to be an emergency linesman. it was one occasion where nobody needed to ask 'who's the bastard in the black?'
'Your worse than Clattenburg" is a favourite at the Eithad
her smiles like sunshine
'When you're sat in row Zed and the ball hits your head, that's Zamora.' There are some that are clever rather than just offensive.
I preferred when the balll hits the back of the net that's Zamora
@@jonathanfraser321 That didn't happen very often though.
These chants just go on. I remember when Paul Scholes was commenting Champions League Final - he was long retired, but I think Liverpool fas once saw him, started chant about him when he was player. He just smiled and waved at them.
Chants in Europe are the bomb, and it really helps that the fans separated to their own sections, which makes the singing that much better.
when it come the the world cup or Euro's the general rule is if the Euro's is a lot harder to win, unless Brazil or Argentina happen to have a great team that generation, which to be fair the Brazil team was good from pretty much the 50's until 2004
The "offensivness" is both truthful and banter . Depends on the subject matter lol . Also this is how working class Englishmen show affection. The champions League for clubs has the best teams for clubs in Europe. The euros and world cup come second to that .
'The referee's a wanker' is still the best...
disagree ,, does your boyfreind know your here ? sung at brighton fans ........ and we're shitter than you , we're shitter than you, we're shit shit shit ...... rate as some of my favourites
Two word wars and one world cup England
no....thats just a statement of fact.
Hows your father hows your father referee haven't got one haven't got coz your a bastard referee
The good old " youre going home in a fucking ambulance " chant , is right up there 👍
A large proportion of those came from my team Leeds United (all the Jimmy saville ones, the girl in green & the guy in white that followed her… and I’m pretty sure the chant about how wonderful Sky TV are). These were quite brutal in parts, shameful sometimes, funny in others but go on at most stadiums. To see fans in a different way I’d recommend Liverpool FC singing ‘You’ll never walk alone’ and Leeds United singing ‘Marching on together’ football fans at their very best!
Everyone always looked like they were having a lot of fun!
I was a soldier and we have a very raw sense of humour and close to the knuckle banter. But that was hilarious.
Hell of a lot of Leeds Utd chants in that compilation, I was at Elland Road (Leeds) for a good few of them...Ruthless yet hilarious.
Ahh England, the land of culture. I hope it never changes :)
👍👍
Some of those were hilarious, especially the ones about the size of the ground!
Think that was from my club. Birmingham City
The chants are all part of the fun, and with all that creativity as well! Brilliant.
Being English I'm just going to say yes to the truth as it's usual territory hate or criminal past of players 😂
The Blushes and the 'OMG I can't believe they said that' faces are adorably Cute.
Most of these have an Element of truth in - as a general rule, if a specific person is named in a Chant, it refers to a specific event Adam Johnson being convicted or for a lighter (albeit Tragic) example - sing a song for Sala (Sala was signed to join a club, was killed in a plane crash on his way to the Club, the whole crowd joined in the chant to honor him).
If it's more generalized, it's more Banter/Abuse - although often these will have topical or regional references.
Football chants are actually quite fascinating, because one can think of them as a form of Oral History (Where notable incidents and events form part of Lore of a particular Club and therefore it's Chants) and as a form of Poetry.
Thank you for sharing! 😊
@@AMANDARAEUK I would love to smash your button😘
This was one if not THE best reaction to this awesome video, your laugh is contagious and knowing in advance what was yet to come while you already looked stunned was priceless! I guess your husband did not prepare you to what you were getting into!
ahah not at all!
Thank you though :)
@@AMANDARAEUK It helped that you are the only American I've seen who didn't need Jimmy Saville to be explained.
That video was hilarious Amanda, I forgot how funny the football charnts were. 😆😆😆⚽👍🏴
My favourite chant, when England and Germany played, was England singing: "2 world wars and 1 world cup, doo dah, doo dah"
The first time seeing an american has reacted to this video that has caught all the best ones, finally!
The goal keeper always claps afterwards in appreciate the banter
"Is there any truth to these chants?"
Oh boy...
This woman’s voice is so soothing. Tell me I’m wrong. I subbed for this voice alone, never mind the great content I’ve been bingeing on. Keep up the good work 👍⭐️
I think u love them deep down there was a lot of Leeds chants in this video
Adam Johnson ex footballer age 33, sent to prison for 6 years
for soliciting a minor 2014
I wasn't laughing much lately, we all go through bad times right, but was good to watch this vid with you and I laughed so much tears rolled down my face. I subbed and liked , thanks for the vid !
This is why I love being British 😂😂
Same here man
I was fair tickled when Jason Puncheon had to leave the pitch to go to the loo And when he came back the crowd were singing the immortal words
“He sh*ts when he wants...Jason Puncheon, he sh*ts when he wants”
😂
And then he mimed wiping his arse on the corner flag.
The best bit was watching your reaction Amanda lol 😂 to them. Take care be safe x
😂👍
Just came across your channel Amanda! Love these videos. Speaking of English football crowd chants have you heard some of the National team’s supporter chants? Some great chants but one of my favourites is the 10 German Bombers chant... controversial yes but give it a go. Keep up the great work 😀
I haven’t but I’ll check them out 😊
Thanks so much! 👍🏻
All the waaaay in Australia, a long long time ago, we used to go to a local soccer league, and the owner of the local team (I was mates with his son) also started a fast food chain.
These guys' cousins used to change "stick your chickens up your ass" on loop.
Twas a good time :)
The UK's gift to the world, Choir Banter Chanting, this is what we should really be doing at Eurovision 🤗
Imagine the Eurovision faces hearing _"And now, the UK's entry. We Want Our Dick Back."_
I recommend watching ENGLAND vs GERMANY next Tueaday in a pub! Going to be a high tension game. Obviously Germany and England do not have a good History and we've always had a good football match :)

Amanda`s clips are without a shadow of doubt, the best clips on the internet. One of the best parts is that she joins in the laughter and even though she is shocked at some of the more outrageous clips, she STILL finds them funny enough to laugh at. Keep them coming Amanda, you are a star!!!

Nothing gets us Brits (English, Scots,Welsh or Northern Irish) going better than a group chant at a football match.
I like how you are sometimes a little shocked but always take it as a bit of fun.

English football chants are beautifully brutal.

Love your vids Amanda, you`ve obviously lived here long enough to become just as twisted as us! x
Hope you are Cheering for England v the Crouts tomorrow , and singing our fave " Two world wars and one World cup DO DAA DO DAA" :)
When you start with Adam Johnson chants it's hard to maintain that level, Some great chants in there though 👍🏻
Amanda your reactions say it all first class👍
😂😂😂😂 can't wait for the fans to be back in the stadiums.
Im a Leeds fan, every team that plays us sings about Jimmy Saville as he was from Leeds. What you saw in the video was the Leeds fans response, tailored to whoever we were playing
MOT
Abusing opposition goalkeepers at lower league level is standard and it usually goes one of 2 ways. If they react they get even more. If they play along usually the fans will applaud the keeper at the end of the game
I work in a UK football stadium, I’m also a football fan and yeah I mean it’s kinda bad sometimes 😂 we are ruthless over here
This is what makes it football. Love it. The chants
Very nervous for Tuesday’s game 🏴🇩🇪 do you think it’s coming home Amanda? Seeing as you’re British now 😁
