Greatest performance of the thing that should not be
Without a fuckin doubt 🤘🤘🤘
3:53 watch his pupil constrict right at the end of the shot
Wow, evil kicked in.
Holy shit
Ooh yeah man I saw that especially when he throws his hand up just like a lion or something...shit....
holay
it doesn’t constrict…. its his nose slowly blocking the camera that creates the illusion
man I used to watch this like literally 6 times a day in high school
they got after me at my middle school. they said because the drummer has no shirt on
James' 1985 Voice Hehe.. noicceee
Zoe Hernandez I'm in high school (a Catholic school btw) and I got in trouble for listening to Metallica after school
That's me atm
SOLDIER OF CHRIST that’s me rn too😂
Ive watched so many different versions of this song from over the years and nothing ever could compare to this moment in time
Now that is what live metal is all about.
6:12 One of the best moments in metal performance. Just raw power in the music. It's like the band doesn't care if there's no crowd or the whole world, this is what we live for \m/
What a performance. Jesus.
Ikr
3:28 lars is definitely on more than a glass of refreshing water
this made me laugh wtf ahahashashah
Maybe it was a glass of milk !!??
Yeah, that definitely wasn't water. I'd say he had a diet coke in a can.
James 'Lion' Hetfield! Both a beast behind vocals and looks! Best Live Performer IMHO
What about guitar?
I love Newsted, I love this Song, I love Metallica!!!
It's amazing 26 year old people are performing such a legendary concert. James owns the stage like a king (he still does) - this is what he's meant to be -, Jason having fun with his headbangs (I miss him too much), Kirk is doing solo... Don't need to mention what a great song this is.
Can’t disagree to agree that this is one of the heaviest number known to mankind…Great Metallica and great Jason!
Man Seattle must have had some seriously fire blow this night.
Fuckin right 🤣🤣
Don’t say fire like that cmon
@@davidporter671 huh?
@@TheRealMasonYoung What are you not understanding?
@@davidporter671 I don't understand either
I've watched this performance about 1000 times, it still give me chills - They went somewhere else that night - The best Metal Performance of all time
I normally don't like live versions, but this blows the studio version completely away.
STILL ONE OF THE GREATEST METAL SONGS EVER WROTE
dude, the look on james' eyes during the hole song just gave me chills everytime, the man was pure evil there
If Metal had a GIF, it would be between 5:30 and 5:34. PURE EVIL!!! love it
He screams pain!
Looking super coked up 😂😂😂
That’s not evil, that is good that is gonna kill evil. When good gets angry, it becomes more evil than evil because to kill evil, you have to be more evil than evil.
Back when Metallica was dangerous.
Might be one of the best Metallica performances of any song in the catalog
That has got to be one of the best underrated Kirk Hammett solos. It's short but damn is it awesome.
It's so weird too, it has that strange watery sound in the first part.
The power in his voice is pulverizing.
I agree with Jason, this is the heaviest number known to mankind! IMO
Metallica before you retire please bring Jason back for a world tour. Give him whatever money he wants and end it all right for us fans. Money is nothing for you all now. I'd love to see that
show any fan who agrees please like this comment. Chicago in the house we love you\m/
You know they will just have Rob up there playing bass with him right? Same way they did the 30th anniversary shows in 2011.
