    Very nice, and I wanted to leave a message to say how much I like the music that you have with your videos. Great tracks.

    Just found your beautiful boxes. Do you apply the polycrylic layer to block your silicone from the resin? I am wondering why you use the poly layer. Thanks in advance for your reply.

      Thank you so much! Yes, that's exactly why I use the polycrylic layer. It's extra an precaution.

    This is an awesome video! How long do you let the paint dry before using the acrylic and how long do you let the acrylic set before pouring the resin?

    • @larasartprojects8132

      Thank you so much 🙏 I usually wait about 4 days before applying the polycrylic and 3 days after that I add the resin. Thank you for watching ☺️💜

    Love the video and your work! Would it be possible to pour the resin over the top and keep the tape on for smoother edges in the corners or no? if no why? Sorry another newbie.

      meaning don't create a wall just leave the tape below the surface as you did for the paint

      Hi Christine, thank you! I am so happy you enjoy my videos. Yes if course it is possible, you can simply pour over it the same way you would do a canvas.I did it this way because I wanted the resin layer to be quite thick. 🙏😀

    Sorry to keep asking you questions haha, what temperature does resin cure at?? And how long?

    • @larasartprojects8132
      @larasartprojects8132  4 роки тому +1

      Jodie Williams no problem, ask away! I usually take the tape off after 7 or 8 hours. As for temperature I’d say that anything over 72 F works well. When I’m not sure I find the Art Resin website is pretty good to find most of the answers. Hope this helps 😉

    I love the video & I luke the soothing music, but you should talk more to help explain things to complete newbies. Things like how long to wait in between steps, what polycyclic is, what resin is, and how polycyclic & resin do for your piece. Again, I loved the video, but as someone new to paint pouring cigar boxes it left me with too many questions

    About how long did you let the paint dry before adding the first coat of polycrylic?
    Then how long in between 1st and 2nd coat of polycrylic?

    • @larasartprojects8132
      @larasartprojects8132  4 роки тому +1

      Foreverkeepingme I usually wait about a week before the first polycrylic coat and 24hrs for the second one. 😊

      You can either sand it or repour a thin layer. I suggest repouring because sanding and polishing is a tedious process. Hope this helps! 😉
