One of the beautiful things abt classical music is how truly international it is: any major orchestra has members of various origin/nationality, coming together to make music. I so admire and appreciate the classical music community for the creative ways they've continued to play during the pandemic, and also for doing benefit concerts.
How many Black musicians do you see in the orchestra? There are many elite and extremely talented Black musicians who would not get a chance at these orchestras because the offend the white audiences. right?

To me this is the ultimate soul music. Absolutely brilliant performance by Anne Sofie Mutter. I sometimes think that for the violinist the Beethoven concerto is the equivalent of acting Hamlet or Cleopatra.

We had her live in Salzburger Festspiele this year: Beethoven violin concerto, but with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Breathtaking, outstanding, SO awesome!!! Mutter is just one of a kind, and she literally became one with orchestra and maestro, all of them reaching for musicality i never heard before. True Masters of music.

This is the triumph of the human spirit. I'm in tears. Thanks to this dear cherished person, and to Vladimir--they both seemed to play on their own heart-strings. Ms. Mutter's violin always remains the protagonist, and in Beethoven's composition the rest of the orchestra can almost seem the violin's subconscious, or the violin's life circumstances. This strikes me as a memorable moment in the emergence of world civilization, grandiose as that may sound.

Superb concert and an extraordinary performance! While seeing Mrs. Mutter I wondered whether she was thinking about her first time with Mr. Von Karajan, when she was just a teenager... Mutter played Mendelssohn violin concerto in Sejong Munwha Whaegwan in Korea when she was about 20 years old. When I saw her then, she was a such a lovely girl and beautiful. Time makes girl to woman with experience.

Compare Mozart andante carefully here......though beethoven is almost always great....Mozart is the God here.....staggering performance of sinfonia concertante
Anne-Sophie Mutter is truly beautiful. The sequence of time in her musical strings rise above the clouds, and are adjoined to my heart. Her music is a testament unto her heart for she leads the accompaniment of melody within the concerto. ♥

I'm confused - k364 doesn't have an adagio. The Sinfonia Concertante 297b does. But it does seem to be K364. Is it common to play the 2nd movement of 364 as adagio?

I saw/heard ASM play this concerto with the New York Philharmonic in 2002 when she made the DGG recording with Kurt Masur. I had travelled from Texas specifically to go to that concert. This one is special because we have ASM with the combined Munich Orchestras AND Lahav Shani a rising superstar in his own right. I first saw him when he substituted for Kirll Petrenko for the Sylvester concert on Digital Concert Hall...he has gotten my attention ever since. His recent appointment as Music Director of the Israel Philharmonic is and exciting and appropriate move by that orchestra. Anyhow, as noted by others, this performance as. a special energy no doubt driven by the purpose intended.
Thank you Anne-Sophie and Vladimir! The gentleness and sensibility you expressed in Mozart's Andante felt so much stronger and more penetrating than all Russian tanks and weapons!! That was a true Oda to Humanity! All blessings to two of you, orchestras, and the conductor!! All glory to Beethoven and Mozart!! Slava Ukraine!!! (I listened part of Mozart around 1 hour and 14 min on this video more than 10 times and I feel like I never heard music beautiful like that!!)
You like beauty perhaps you might go to Ukraine to view the people's that your friend Elenski has been shelling in their homes and killing in their thousands in the last eight years. Or perhaps you could drag yourself away from your Mozart & Beethoven to read book.

This is the triumph of the human spirit. I'm in tears. Thanks to this dear cherished person, and to Vladimir--they both seemed to play on their own heart-strings. Ms. Mutter's violin always remains the protagonist, and in Beethoven's composition the rest of the orchestra can almost seem the violin's subconscious, or the violin's life circumstances. This strikes me as a memorable moment in the emergence of world civilization, grandiose as that may sound.

Mutter played Mendelssohn violin concerto in Sejong Munwha Whaegwan in Korea when she was about 20 years old.
When I saw her then, she was a such a lovely girl and beautiful. Time makes girl to woman with experience.
We were fortunate to hear Sophie in Oxford this year, she is a genius and it was a privilege to hear her play Beethoven

The musical community maintains its criterion of providing good hearing to the spectators for its philharmonics, avoiding within this context maintaining the unity of the musicals for all and not exception of political or social trends. is: any major orchestra has members of various origin/nationality, coming together to make music. I so admire and appreciate the classical music community for the creative ways they've continued to play during the pandemic, and also for doing benefit concerts.Thank you for having this opportunity and power in the peace of my lonely environment to hear harmony and the explosion of feelings involved.

I'm confused - k364 doesn't have an adagio. The Sinfonia Concertante 297b does. But it does seem to be K364. Is it common to play the 2nd movement of 364 as adagio?

Das Violinkonzert von Beethoven ist für mich das schönste Konzert für die Violine! Ich würde mich freuen, wenn der Erlös von einem ähnlichen Benefizkonzert für die Obdachlosen in Deutschland zur Verfügung gestellt würden!
I saw/heard ASM play this concerto with the New York Philharmonic in 2002 when she made the DGG recording with Kurt Masur. I had travelled from Texas specifically to go to that concert. This one is special because we have ASM with the combined Munich Orchestras AND Lahav Shani a rising superstar in his own right. I first saw him when he substituted for Kirll Petrenko for the Sylvester concert on Digital Concert Hall...he has gotten my attention ever since. His recent appointment as Music Director of the Israel Philharmonic is and exciting and appropriate move by that orchestra. Anyhow, as noted by others, this performance as. a special energy no doubt driven by the purpose intended.
