What was your favorite part about this practice? What was the most challenging?

    • @acrosstheuniverse3331

Surprisingly I found the shoulder lifts challenging. I enjoyed the frog pose, the sensations I felt afterwards was invigorating. Thank you for this! Namaste.

@@acrosstheuniverse3331 I agree with you! For me the hardest part of this whole class is [24:50] lifting the elbows up and touching the wrists behind the head. It's one the biggest things keeping me from filming level 3! 😅
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the class too! Thanks for sharing 🙏💕

I couldn't do the frog since I have bad knees. Other than that, the shoulder lifts are always a lot harder than I anticipate!

@@johngarvey803 I agree with you 100%! Of this whole sequence the practice I have the most resistance to is the shoulder work!

Hey teach. I'm doing everything you say. All of your videos. Changing my life. Multiple surgeries lots of problems trying to get my body back and my meditation and body awareness is soaring. Eternally grateful for your videos and the opportunity to learn from you. No joke it's a miracle. Love you and thank you.

@@RefeelYoga I've had seven surgeries for fusions two emergency surgeries a partially paralyzed leg and foot a battle with opiates because of all the pills I've been on and a lot of health issues not to mention a past in the military and with an abusive father that left a lot of holdings and problems constantly going to chiropractors constantly trying to heal my spine. And now I'm realizing that my spine doesn't have any problems I have energy blocks and holdings and deep patterns in my body I've never been able to get rid of because I wasn't aware enough. And doing this work is having me go into my body and I'm beginning to watch and be aware of as I'm going through the day how I close and how my patterns are and how I breathe. I literally have no idea I was that asleep. So this is digging into my body mind like nothing else. I'm really grateful. I'm beginning to come out of physical and mental pain and it's a new way of being.

@@potoole It's really incredible to hear this. I'm so grateful to you for taking the time to go through this healing process. It's so rewarding when you start to have these realizations and, even though it can completely turn your world upside down, awakening is the greatest gift you can give to yourself. 💝
I would highly recommend you to check out the second level of our Journey Through the Chakras: Transformation - it should be released sometime within the next month or so. It would be such huge gift to give yourself, as we explore the whole realm of the Chakras at the emotional level; healing trauma, childhood wounds, doing "shadow work" practices for releasing stuck energy and emotions. It's a very powerful program for healing and I'm certain it would be a big benefit for you and the path you are currently on.

I did this practice the day after finishing the 10 day challenge of the 5 bodies and to be honest it felt very intense and mesmerizing. It's not the first time i do this practice and I've never felt this much intensity the way that i did today. I was thinking of doing level 1 for 3 days then level 2 for 3 days and the kriyas you posted early on for the lower chakras before starting with the uddiyana bandah 10 day challenge. Thank you Andrew for all the knowledge and expertise. Peace and love from Lebanon❤️✌️🕉️

Amazing brother! I'm impressed by your ambition!
And yes, after the 5 Bodies Challenge I would expect that your awareness is improved and your bodies are much more open. So this added intensity is to be expected. Keep at it. Remember, there's no harm in taking rest if your body is telling you to rest.
It sounds like your intuition is guiding you well. This looks like a wonderful, powerful schedule you have made for yourself. Please keep me updated on your progress! I love to hear about your revelations, challenges and every other experience 🙏💕
      Love from Canada 🍁💞

    • @RefeelYoga

Hey Sonja, Originally when I recorded this video I did introduce each of them... But honestly, I didn't do a teacher training under Yogi Bhajan so I don't really have a solid understanding of his system of the Chakras and Bodies. So I didn't feel right to leave it in. I prefer to teach what I feel confident that I 'know' because I have personally experienced it.
      Hope this makes sense!

After the dizziness I took deep breathes and then it was ok and I could go on. It was weird but I also kind liked it..this dizziness and it feels warm. Can this practise influence my hormone system in a good way? and is it ok to do a cardio-workout afterwards? Thanks for your videos! You are a very symphatic guy, I love how you speak. This dizziness you are experiencing is very common, especially in the beginning as your body is getting used to the practices and the extra energy. It will go away at some point, so try to not be too attached to it if you're finding it pleasant. There will come more subtle, but deeper, sensations as you progress.
These practices can definitely influence and balance your hormonal system, nervous system, digestive and cardiovascular systems, in a great way. This is the beauty of this type of practice! It's really working on every level; the physical, energetic, emotional, mental and beyond.

    I'm gonna start with
When I first started my practice my root and sacral chakra were very Vigorous
I did a lot of kundalini yoga while dancing at my job as a sign spinner, I would feel a burning vigorous passionate magnetic fire at the base of my being.
When doing breathing excersizes I would feel powerful orgasmic energy when working with the mulabandha but the last yearish(now working at an organic market)
I feel no orgasmic energy when working with mulabandha and im not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I broke something. Breathing would bring me into ecstatic Tears and now I feel the fire has been put out.
Whats going on with me? Any powerful intuitives out there that are familiar with kundalini that can point me in the right direction
    Calling in a knowledgeable Soul.

    • @RefeelYoga
      @RefeelYoga  4 роки тому +4

What you are experiencing is very normal along this path. Usually when we first begin with a practice the effect it has and the changes that are taking place are very gross. This makes them much more noticeable. But as we progress with any practice eventually those gross effects subside, as we start to experience more and more subtle changes.
Let's take the very acute example of doing a forward fold first thing in the morning vs later in the afternoon. The first stretch in the morning is very intense and you need to be aware of every muscle, every breath. Whereas after walking and being active all day, the same stretch in the evening may be hardly noticable. Likely you will go much deeper, with greater ease. Even though it doesn't seem as intense you are still getting many benefits! And in this way maybe you will be able to become aware of more sublte qualities of the stretch, such as the subtle flow of energy through the legs, slight emotion, thoughts, or memories that are arising, etc.
This same experience happens with all of our practices, eventually. So in the beginning when we are developing our nervous system with Kundalini practices the effects are very intense, as even the slightest stimulation cause a big physical response. But as we train, open and purify our energy channels the body becomes able to handle this energy and is no longer experiencing such intense stimulation from the same practices.
Does this mean that we should do more and more intense practice to continue experiencing these ecstatic sensations? No. These feelings in the beginning are great as they inspire a lot of motivation and aspiration for the practice. Come on! If you're feeling orgasms from yoga, you do more yoga! 😅
But later, when these intense feelings subside, this also serves a great purpose. This is where we get a big test of non-attachment. Where we get to face the needy, craving, validation seeking small self inside. It's a tough one! Suddenly there can come many doubts, "maybe the practice isn't working anymore", "maybe I've lost it!", "I'm not a good yogi", "I need a new teacher/technique/system..", etc.
This is a phase that we need to go through. You could call it a test of faith. You could call it the Kundalini burning your karma. But for the same reason we started yoga, if we continue to practice just for the practice, eventually we come to the next phase where there are more noticable shifts happening again. Maybe not the same, but noticeable 😉
I hope the helps bring some clarity. Remember, there is no such thing as a bad practice. Pleasant or unpleasant, gross and intense or subtle and hardly noticable, every action is an investment 🙏🏼💖

Looking forward to being ready to perform it fully and going forward to Level 2.
Emotional aspect was kind a interesting. I expected to feel energetic and uplifted. But a few hours later I felt kind a.... low, if it makes any sense. I ended up with sleepy feeling and went to bed early, which is very unusual for me. Still feels right 👍.

Wow I love this sequence too! Amazing! And don't worry 15 frogs is still very strong on it's own! It's incredible how difficult this silly squatting movement is! (I'm afraid to release level 3 because we're supposed to do 108! 😬)
You know what they say, "expectation is the thief of happiness". But yes, being such a strong practice, and especially when you do something new, there's a chance that it will move or release some energy that hasn't moved for a while. And this always has the possibility to create an uncomfortable result. You did the right thing, going to sleep and allowing your body to fully recover is the best thing you can do in this situation. 💖
I am curious to hear what happens the next time you do this kriya! Please let me know when that time comes 🙏💕

      And one more question:
I feel and I know that I have many negative blocks from my past, “sitting” deep inside. I would love to release them all and feel free and happy. What would you recommend?

    • @RefeelYoga
      @RefeelYoga  4 роки тому +1

Realistically, you can take up and practice as a daily practice. It's a great way to go deep into it. I think this is an amazing sequence to make a daily practice! It's short enough to be able to complete rather easily, but powerful enough to be super transformative.
Keep in mind that when we take up a powerful practice like this it is transformative, and that transformation isn't always the most comfortable. Maybe what I would recommend, rather than just saying "I'm going to do this every morning", is make it a tapas (a discipline) and say, "I'm going to do this every day for 10 days". Setting a goal like this and sticking too it may bring some challenges (the subconscious doesn't to change so much and has a way of manifesting "distractions") but going through it and completing a set goal has huge benefits for boosting your motivation, Manipura Chakra and develops a lot more power in the subconscious. Something to consider!
Regarding the release of blockages from the past. I'm actually planning to do a video on this sometime soon... but the practice I recommend most might seem a little bit "simple" but the effects can be profound!
What you want to do every night before bed - just before bed! Do not do anything else after this... especially don't look at your phone or television!
So just before bed, lay on the floor with your legs 90degrees up the wall. Place a pillow or folded towel under your sacrum so your hips are slightly elevated, place on hand on your heart and one hand on your belly and just relax and breathe deeply into your belly in this position for 5-15min. Build it up! You will see in the beginning 5min is very long and your feet may go to sleep are start to feel weird tingles or pains. It's okay. Start with 5min for the first few nights and add a minute or two when you feel ready, until you get to 15min laying like this before bed.
What this will do is really soothe your nervous system and prepare you for a deep sleep, while at the same time reversing your natural flow of energy and start releasing old, stuck and stagnant energies just before you go to sleep. Now this is where the magic happens!
As you sleep your subconscious will start to process the things that are released from this pose. This may manifest in strange dreams, nightmares, or sleep so deep you do not remember anything. Whatever happens, allow it.
Stage 2 of this practice happens when you wake up. The moment you wake up, before you do anything, roll out of bed and go someplace where you can sit quietly in meditation for 10-30min. It may mean you will have to wake up a few minutes earlier than usual. But trust me, you should have slept very well from the practice, and this will be worth it!
In your meditation what you want to do is...nothing! No technique, no witnessing the breath. Just sit and observe how you feel. Feel your body, your emotions, your mind. See what is there. You may experience feelings that were released during the night. Your job is to just allow. Try to not get distracted with thinking about what you need to do today, etc. And just come back to "how do I feel?", "what is happening inside me?". Be curious, like you want to get to know yourself. And allow whatever comes for these 10-30min. After that, say "thank you" to yourself and start you day.
Do this for a few weeks, or as long as you like, and see what starts to come. It's not going to happen over one night, but it's an investment that's well worth it. Trust me ;)
      With love,
      Andrew

    • @RefeelYoga

Hello Ashish, Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this class :)
As for your question, it's highly discouraged to mix Kundalini practice with any type of drug use. We are working very strongly with the nervous system and having any sort of psychoactive substances or impurities in the body can result in unwanted negative results.
What I would recommend, for your own safety, is to plan your practice for days when you are not consuming or enduring a hangover.
These days when you are experiencing withdrawal it is most important to rest and allow your body to re-regulate itself. Drink plenty of water, eat light, clean, nourishing foods and allow your system the time to come back to normal before to attempt to tax your nervous system in another way.
If you want you can do light practices, such as Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, the pawanamukstasana series, or other warm ups and stretching. But do not attempt Kundalini practices if you are not in a good condition. Best thing to do is meditation. Bring awareness to moment. Feel the effects of the hangover fully. Not only will this help you to heal and recover faster, in the long run it will allow your subconscious to realize the affects of consumption - and this is how you will develop discipline 💕
