I ran into the gear selector issue on a buddies 72 C10 with Dakota Digital gauges and a po1 ecu. It was originally on a 02 comaro OS and when I changed it over to a 02 Silverado OS it started working.
Just build 2 if these truck at my shop with crate ls3 and crate 6l80e. Both had bp automotive harness and ecm setups. Both ecm I was sent by bp had the P0606 code. Was told it was also a tuning issue. Put new GM E38 in it.Flashed the same base tune and file as the “Bp Automotive” E38 and it worked perfectly. But it was a tuning issue so they say
The P0606 is due to BP changing the throttle tables. Apparently Bill at BP “has thoroughly tested these files” but 100% of them have thrown a P0606. I have been able to fix it with “tuning” but it’s their tuning that’s the issue. Putting the tables back to stock to match the correct OS solves the issue.
Love this, i have a turbo, gen 3, 5.3 in my 63 f-100. Definitely a sleeper

@@505racing3 honestly it's all in the tune. Don't cheap out on the waste gate, go with a tial or something high-end. I'm at 12# with eBay turbo and basically stock 5.3. you can do it for around 2k.

This is awesome brother. I am swapping a Ls3/4L80 into my 03' Crown Vic Police Interceptor. I was going to use a 6L80, but I'll wait on that. I finally get the block,crank and rods back beginning of next week. I can't wait. I havnt been to sure on which cam I wanted to run. Seems like the RedHot cam does decent at idle and makes good power. I don't want a cam that is a pain to drive because my wife will be driving it and I'm not looking for a cam that idles like a drag car lol.

Another awesome video Matt Would love to see how far off or how close Gms torque sensor or the "horsepower" pid you are logging there.
The horsepower pid is just based off of the factory torque model. It would be impossible to test the torque model on a chassis dyno though as the torque is supposed to be based off of flywheel torque. Fuel flow really is the best way to figure out power based off of a datalog.
First real vehicle was a 1985 GMC short bed 4x4. Love the look of the squares, but I'm just not interested in a single cab. Badly want to build a crew cab though.

Dyno showed 3625 truck weight . Seems light

No that’s just for Eddy Brake calculations on the dyno.
What torque converter is in the transmission? I’m putting a BTR Stage 2 cam in my LS3 430hp/6l80e and have a concern about driveability with the stock 2400-2800 torque converter.
Which BTR Stage 2 cam are you looking at? The LS3 Stage 2?
