I will never look back, I got more attention and compliments, I even did find my soulmate (at 51!). Thank you very much for your inspiration.
I am 66 and cut my hair in a pixie quite a long time ago. Once in a while I grow it out some but always go back to pixie. When it’s pixie I get tons of compliments on how cute my hair is. Long hair not so much. My hair is also gray except for the area at the nape of my neck, which is the color of dark chocolate. It looks really great.
I stopped dying my gray hair blonde a year ago and I'm so glad I did. My hair has never looked more beautiful. Instead of being dry, frizzy and brittle, it is very shiny, silky and soft. It looks gorgeous and I love it.
When I made my decision 7 years ago, my stylist cut my long hair about chin length and dyed my hair a beautiful champagne color (my hair was dyed dark) which helped the transistion when the roots started coming in. It took almost a year to become fully silver/grey. But once it happened I never thought about going back to dying my hair again. My hair is healthier and I get so many compliments.

Totally agree with your lockdown and going grey comments - I was so happy I had started growing my hair out pre lockdown because I would have obsessed about it. I’m still growing it out and I love the sense of freedom too!
I stopped coloring my hair around 4 months ago . I don't have a line or gray steak like a lot of women do , I am going gray around the entire front of my hair . I love it . I wish I could wake up tomorrow and be fully gray. As far as the rest of my hair , I have grays salting throughout my hair . I am 51. I love your hair . I love to see women with gray hair , wearing red lipstick.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! I finally decided to stop this madness of chemicals and fakery one week ago. I still have a box dye in my drawer, but I will give it away. I'm ready for this journey!!! 💪😌💪😌💪😌💪😌
A young face with gray hair is just lovely I think. I am letting my gray come out during this pandemic, and I am fascinated. However, I am not young enough to not have it add to aging. So, I am enjoying it - it is coming in nicely...I am enjoying looking at it daily and watching it. The beauty of the situation is that I can fix it real quick as soon as my salon opens, but I plan to go full gray first and then decide.
Thanks for the tips! My mom had grey hair so now that Im going grey everyone who knew her is excited to see how much I will look like her. I hope I do. She was beautiful
Your grey hair is gorgeous! I am not that much into dyeing my hair but now I am getting some highlights to grow out my grey streaks, I believe there will be much more soon and I'm about to turn 31 😁 you have inspired me to go grey as soon as my hair does so 💕
Hi Maria! Your hair is beautiful! I decided to stop dying my hair in March when I couldn't go to my stylist. Just got a short cut a week ago to cut out a lot of my color and I feel already FREE FROM THE DYE!! My hair is wavy/curly and it's coming in white. My mom and her mom had white hair so I hope mine stays white, too. Sulfate free shampoo and silicone free products do not dry out hair. I have been using those for years and my hair is soft and healthy. I recommend those highly. :) I have been trying different hair masks to add moisture. Thank you for your videos!!
Yay! You look gorgeous and I totally agree with you that grey hair is so beautiful. I am four years into my grow out with another year or so more to go (I have v long hair! ) Thank you for sharing your story. Im now encouraged to share my own journey too... xxx 😚
I am just over 8 weeks on this journey and I needed this video to keep me motivated as I'm not getting any encouragement from home. I am wanting to enjoy the process but am really scared to tell you the truth. Your hair colour is amazing and I would be more than happy if my grey turned out like yours. Thanks!
When I decided to go gray, I didn’t get positive responses:) it took 2 years and now I get more compliments than I have with any other style or color I have ever had. So glad I stuck it out.
It’s hard for me because my hair is so long and not completely grey. I’m also a skin care expert and so people some how feel it’s ok to judge me and let me know grey hair makes you look older 🤷🏽♀️. I’m a year and a half in and I’m trying not to give up!!!! I love how your hair looks!!!
@@PeachesSkinCare My hair is long and not completely grey too. Being judged is my biggest fear. It doesn't matter if they are family, friend, or stranger on the street, I can't bear the thought of being judged as less than I am. And so, until now, I've been coloring my hair. Covid isolation gave me the courage to start what will be a long process. I am also bolstered by some of the comments here and am determined to keep my scalp and hair as healthy as possible by avoiding the chemicals. Good luck to you.
I wish I had just embraced my silver grey locks when I was younger. I started greying when I was 17 and pretty sure it was totally so by the time I was 30. I'm 51 now and on my way. 5 months into growing it out, but got sick of the demarcation line. My hair was a dark copper auburn color, so bleached that out and trying to matched my mostly silvery white hair in the front that has a natural dark streak in the middle front at my widow's peak (picture a reverse Lily Munster - lol) and from the top middle to the back it is salt & pepper with dark hair underneath at the back of my neck. It seems it will be very pretty once all grown out... and I will finally be free of dying my hair anymore! 😊
I completely agree that sometimes it's scary to see loved ones with gray hair. My mom already have gray hair (she had a long black hair before) and makes me think how much she have aged. You're right. It's because of the reference what she looked like before. But then I look at you and other people on the internet, gray hair is absolutely lovely. I guess I only think negatively if it's my mom.
That is exactly what is happening. I am growing my silver hair and I became completely obsessed with skincare and make up! Thank you for your videos! I am doing the same in French because I can't find a Frenchy silversister doing that 😉...
I am transitioning now. Took 4 hours to get the 33 years of red out and how I’m a champagne color next week will be the completion of the grey. I can’t wait!
Thank you for this video. I'm 3 months growing my grey hair. My family saw me for the first time with my grey hair and one family member said she believes that I will not like it and dye my hair again. I thought about and I can't see myself going back to dying my hair. I'm in it to win it!! I'm very excited about it!!
I let my hair go grey 7 years ago and had more 'you'll dye your hair again' comments than you could shake a stick at. WELL, phooey on them...I LOVE my grey hair and get more compliments all the time on the color. I'm lucky because it's a beautiful silver with touches of dark highlights. It's freeing, really compliments my skin tone, and I never have to think about roots...LOL. Don't listen to others, just listen to yourself.
I have been using oVertone lavender conditioner! I like it better than purple shampoo. It comes in numerous color and shade options options. Once the hair transitions to grey, it comes in 3 different grey tones. You can use it every time you wash without your hair going purple. It has a pleasant fragrance. I really like it. It's subtle, and it is making the transition a bit nicer. Check them out!
@@CoolSustainable go to their website and look around! Also, there are lots of youtube videos on ways to use it. I was a little nervous the first time but the affects were so subtle. Some people put it on dry hair and let is sit for a while. I just use it like a conditioner, after I wash my hair, so my hair does not turn an intense color. Once my blonde grows out, I'll switch from the lavender to one of the silvers. Check it out.
When you hair is the right color for your skin color, the first thing you see when you look in the mirror is YOU. When you wear the right colors, your gaze will go right to your eyes. And I am beginning to think the color that best suits your face and skin is the color that grows out of your head. Both are determined by the same thing, melanin. So it makes sense that your natural hair color would match your skin the best. My favorite channel for what colors to wear is Merriam Style
I'm 5 months in. Here in Melbourne Australia it was the protracted lockdown that set me on my way. My hairdresser freaked when she saw the unruly mess when I appeared on her doorstep for a "cut only". She layered the style and it's a slightly shorter version of my bob. I'm feeling the liberation of which you speak and am feeling so much better for not using the chemical dyes. I agree about the color issues with both make up and clothes and am leaning to softer pallete. I enjoyed your video. Thanks!
My life choices only effect me, so anybody' else's opinions are mute to me.. I am lucky to have a strong sense of self to go through this gray journey.
Yes, the sun can definitely turn our silver hair yellow! I wear hats a lot, but I also use UV protectant sprays. Aveda Sun Veil is a spendy one and Sun Bum 3-in-One Leave-In is a cheaper one.
First you're stunning 🥰. From what I've heard hair oil only works on wet to damp hair. As the oil doesn't penetrate the hair dry. It can only absorb if the hair is wet to damp to apply it to get inside the cuticle. If not it just sits on top and doesn't do anything. 💖
Thank you Maria. The behaviour points are really interesting and you are very motivational. I'm 20 weeks in and admit to struggling a bit right now but will persevere.
Yes! it is freedom!!! 7 mos. into it... loving it! (and I don't plan on cutting mine til its very long, its past my shoulders now, and I use a toner on the blonde ends). I love going all natural...and after all the years of maintaining a fake color...I am so excited at just being me!
Thank you for sharing! Still in lock down here, last two hair appts were cancelled and I’ve become so fascinated and intrigued, I had no idea all the sober around my face, I think I like the idea of keeping it! Sisters comments were not encouraging but....my hair is curly, wonder how that would turn out...
Thank you for watching :) Try watching this video: ua-cam.com/video/L1UGGTCTbIo/v-deo.html There are quite a few curly haired ladies. My fav for curly hair is definitely Mindy Gale!
I have lovely grey hair that I have had for over 10 yrs...I definitely get lots of compliments where ever I go. I read an article a few years ago that stated that older women who let their hair go grey are considered smarter than those who color their hair, more secure about their looks. And therefore they are admired because of that and often seen as sexy.
Thank you for the tips! I just turned 56 on June 5th. I’ve been coloring my hair for over the past 25 years. I have my hair in a pixie cut. A month and a half ago I decide to not color my hair and let the gray come on out. So I’m hoping with my hair with a pixie cut, it shouldn’t be too long before my hair is color fee. I am anxious to see what I’ll look like. I got my 1st gray hair many, many eons ago when I was 18. I take after my Dad, in that I’m prematurely gray. Thanks for the tip about the purple shampoo. Take care.
Thanks for not forgetting us. Please continue with your videos! I am in about month 4 of growing out my grey. I had naturally blonde hair into my adult life. It started getting mousy at about age 40! That's when I started coloring it to match my blonde. I am now in my early 60's and decided to see what my grey is looking like. It's really hard to see a line of demarcation because what's growing in is similar to the colored part. It just looks mousy, which I don't like. I made a promise to myself to grow it all out before I decide to keep it or not. Also, I have waves, so I enjoyed your demo of your products. I have trouble with polyquats, which are in the Beach Bomb. They stick to my hair and I have to wash my hair 2 to 3 times to get it off my hair! Not sure why I have that problem, but I do. Some polyquats are much worse than others. I'm looking forward to more videos!
Thank you for your continuous support - it means so much and keeps me going! I have never heard of polyquats negative effects. The video coming out on Monday is about a purple shampoo product I've been using, so maybe it will help?!
I'm starting to look around at other people's hair more as well and I see a lot of women whom are older than me and whom are still coloring their hair. Obviously if they like that, then more power to them. I just don't want to be 60, 70, 80yrs old and still trying to pretend that my hair is just naturally brown
Try Olaplex no. 6 for a leave in conditioner. It is amaaazing. The shine, the moisture, and no oily look. Jack Martin, the famed grey colorist, uses it.
Hair IS a big thing! We've got to respect the hair! But I was tired of the maintenance...resentful, almost. Cut off 14" and I'm about a year and a half in, and YES....THE FREEEEEEEDOM! Funny, people are actually telling me how cool it is, and that it actually makes me look younger! ( that's all fine, but wasn't my goal....it was to embrace my age, actually!😄) Also, I feel like I'm honouring my Crone status....by wearing my grey hair like a crown. Thanks for a great video...the behavioral/psychological component is so important to address. Change can be weird ....and fun!
Nice video. I am trying to transition so this was good for me. I turned 60 this year and am so tired of paying for the upkeep of the color. I just wish it didn't take so long to grow it out. lol. I was on the short end of the stick when it came to passing out patience. haha
Thank you for your video. Maybe a little early for me to use some advice, but I have noticed a few gray strands in my hair. I have been considering not dying my hair since I never have and don't want to go down that road and regret it. Every woman in my family has dyed their hair and have never had it gray. My husband's family has quite a few who have stopped and gone gray. And in passing when I mentioned never dying my hair as it turns gray he says he's sure I will look beautiful. So it's nice to have his encouragement. I think your hair looks beautiful and I am curious what my curly hair would look like gray and how long it will take my hair to actually gray instead of a few strands here and there. Thanks for the encouragement and tips.
Great video, thank you so much for sharing your experience! I am starting to get grey hair and I plan to never color it. Will see how it goes :) Anyway, I wish the sound would be better, it was hard to listen with that much noise.
I started this journey 17 months ago. Interestingly, all the good looking men in my life were very encouraging and supportive, but all the females in my life were totally discouraging and were completely against it. So glad I never listen to naysayers.
Michael Salonga They are clearly insecure and jealous of you! You are beautiful! Unfortunately, I can relate, not just regarding going grey. I could never say awful things to anyone even if it was true.
There's a forum on Facebook ," Going Grey Gracefully", all women, who are offering their encouragement and ideas to one another. Many submit photos. For the most part, a really positive vibe.
Giovanna Thank you! Will check it out, although, I’m trying to stay away from social media these days, but did find many groups there very helpful in the past.
I made my decision 3 years ago after a stylist botched a keratine treatment and I can't be happier! The worst comment (from my own father): you're making ME feel old!!!
I wash my hair once a week. It took me a few months to get to this point, but I love it. I do rinse it every few days so it doesn't get oily, but not using shampoo keeps it from getting too stripped.
@@CoolSustainable Yep, I just run it under the water quickly when I take a shower. I initially started doing that because my short hair would stick up everything and I'd have to wet it with a spray bottle. It was just easier to do it while I was taking a shower. My Mom has longer hair and has started doing it, she can go an entire week before she washes her hair. I do it every time I take a shower but she only does it a few times between washes.
@@CoolSustainable but having the trend helps me I'm probably younger than you but I'm in my mid-thirties and I've always heard that women shouldn't have gray hair but I like it. I also don't want to waste afternoons and entire days just dying my hair
I started going gray at 47,I m now 51 but it's graying so super slow.Anyway I am inspired by the process it's more of what I discover about my inner being.
I am growing my hair out and am nearly there, and have listened to what you have said about purple shampoo. I wash my hair once a week and use it every time, I think it is drying my hair out and am getting breakage, so I have taken that on board, thanks! I have tried shampoo bars, am not sure about them? It is a very EXPENSIVE minefield out there, of all the trial and error trying to find the right shampoo, There must be a much simpler solution?. My hair is white on top and the underneath layers are varying colour, and it looks like there is even some of my original colour in it, really fascinating. As for the negative comments, people can be very mean I think, my answer is to flick them the bird. There have been some nice comments as well, they have said it is admirable to show the younger generation it's ok to be yourself and not to cover it up. I have noticed that my eyelashes and eyebrows have gone white, and I am not a pencil in the brows kind of person but I will put mascara on, oh well. Thanks.
Maria, best tutorial in embracing grey hair. Love your hair and tips. Your hair color looks beautiful. How long did it take you to go fully grey? Thanks
Thank you for such kind words! It took me 1.5 years to finally chop the yellowing bits for a short bob. I have just crossed the 3 year mark and it feels great!
Love that you guys are normalising grey/white hair for women not in an old folks home, its incredibly important because ageism is a real discrimination. Discrimination like that doesn't affect you... except for when it does, especially in life altering situations like when competing for a job and I'm assuming in the dating scene as well.
It IS normal! You're right about the dating scene - I know a few friends who says the normal dating scene is cruel at the best of times but with grey hair I can't imagine!
I'm almost 57, been with dh for 34 years. Our daughter is 33. Can't imagine dating...but I would never date a man that hated my natural look. Hubby is supportive and loves my grey and hates makeup...guess I found a keeper lol
when you showed the picture of your hair up when you started going grey you still had dark hair especially underneath. You still have that darker hair underneath. The back of your head takes the longest to grow in grey. So even though you don't color your hair anymore you still aren't totally grey. You still have a lot of dark hair blended in with your silver.
Really interesting! Love the subject - its how we look at getting older. In times when youth is an obsession for some all around the globe, its about time being proud, happy being just - human. The one that judge is all about insecurity among other things commercial telling us is the norm to follow. Be U! Strong and beautiful just the way U are. The inside is what matters. This video is toughing an important issue - acceptance. Every age has its time. Inside u are still U. Grey hair is no longer to be called old. Its a colour like all the other different shades and colours on the palett. Thank u for an inspiring video 😊 love my grey hair 👏🏻 take care be safe - life is so much more than ’different shades of grey’ - its living it to the fullest being proud being here right now sharing love and respect towards eachother and have a laugh 😉
I'm glad I watched this. I just started growing mine out and my hair dresser are doing blonde highlights to ease it in. I have almost black hair, so she wants to go lighter, so we can ease into it.
Ok! It isn’t polite to comment on appearances but I’m so in love with your hair! It’s so beautiful 😍 I just love gray hair and its like a curse because I’m now 33 and still waiting for my first white strand 😞
Thank you :) I am still using up my Mac Russian Red but I only dab it...and in the summer I will wear gloss - any cool pink tones work for my skin tone. Hope it helps!
I buzz my long hair 58 next year let’s grade then I realize only more noticeable in natural outside lighting. Canadian born Chinese heritage and I don’t need purple shampoo because it typically never really died my hair. Only semi permanent black blue shampoo box dye... And thank goodness I’m not talking to my family, they know how to push my buttons and haven’t heard from them for a year and a half since my heart attack 2019

My hair is starting to go white and I'm under 30. A lot of people told me to pluck them. I looked at them like they where crazy. "Do see this magnificent shade of white? It's fresh snow. Why would I pluck it when I can be an anime/fantasy character?"
Hi. I'm new here. I've been going grey for over a decade and it's still a mixture of colour although I no longer get it dyed. It took me more than 2 years to grow most of the dye out. What can I do if I have both red and yellow undertones? I'm medium to dark brown at the roots to dark blonde at the ends. It's quite long. Also, for softness, I recommend Davroe shampoo etc. It's also vegan and cruelty free. :)

I love to see women with gray hair , wearing red lipstick.
thanks!!! Your hair pattern sounds beautiful!
I am not that much into dyeing my hair but now I am getting some highlights to grow out my grey streaks, I believe there will be much more soon and I'm about to turn 31 😁 you have inspired me to go grey as soon as my hair does so 💕
I started to go grey at 20 and finally made the decision to ditch the dye at 31 exactly! Good luck!
Thank you for such valuable information!!!
Yay! You look gorgeous and I totally agree with you that grey hair is so beautiful. I am four years into my grow out with another year or so more to go (I have v long hair! ) Thank you for sharing your story. Im now encouraged to share my own journey too... xxx 😚
Lovely! I am so happy for you :)
I am just over 8 weeks on this journey and I needed this video to keep me motivated as I'm not getting any encouragement from home.
I am wanting to enjoy the process but am really scared to tell you the truth. Your hair colour is amazing and I would be more than happy if my grey turned out like yours. Thanks!
Keep going! Like I mentioned, the colour changes all the time :) Even if your hair doesn’t look great now, it WILL when you are done.
When I decided to go gray, I didn’t get positive responses:) it took 2 years and now I get more compliments than I have with any other style or color I have ever had. So glad I stuck it out.
@@lisaballard5215 So happy for this!
Oh that's good that you were able to do it! I am so glad as well that I did it when I did.
wow!! I am new here and I thought your hair was dyed!! It's amazing, and you look stunning!!
Thanks!!! It has been almost 3 years!
I love my grey hair, its natural, its healthy and it looks great !
Haha what an interesting perspective!!!
That is exactly what is happening. I am growing my silver hair and I became completely obsessed with skincare and make up! Thank you for your videos! I am doing the same in French because I can't find a Frenchy silversister doing that 😉...
oh nice I will check it out!!
I am transitioning now. Took 4 hours to get the 33 years of red out and how I’m a champagne color next week will be the completion of the grey. I can’t wait!
Oh you will love it!
Thank you for this video. I'm 3 months growing my grey hair. My family saw me for the first time with my grey hair and one family member said she believes that I will not like it and dye my hair again. I thought about and I can't see myself going back to dying my hair. I'm in it to win it!! I'm very excited about it!!
woohoo! you go girl!
I love the freedom of not dying my hair. Only into 4 months of growing it outtogrey and it’s brilliant xxx
I keep hearing it but I am hesitant... not sure why! maybe the colouring factor?
@@CoolSustainable go to their website and look around! Also, there are lots of youtube videos on ways to use it. I was a little nervous the first time but the affects were so subtle. Some people put it on dry hair and let is sit for a while. I just use it like a conditioner, after I wash my hair, so my hair does not turn an intense color. Once my blonde grows out, I'll switch from the lavender to one of the silvers. Check it out.
Gorgeous! I shaved my old colour off in March. Your colour is my goal. Can’t wait till it grows now. 😊
Super!!! You are brave :)
The best decision I have made is letting my hair go grey! I love it. I had a hard time the first three months, after that, it’s a God sent!
Agree 100%!
Thanks!
Thank you! I am so happy you got through the initial shock and are now enjoying the new you :)
You look stunning with your silver strands!!
thanks!!!
My life choices only effect me, so anybody' else's opinions are mute to me.. I am lucky to have a strong sense of self to go through this gray journey.
yeehaaww!!!
Affect.
Yes, the sun can definitely turn our silver hair yellow! I wear hats a lot, but I also use UV protectant sprays. Aveda Sun Veil is a spendy one and Sun Bum 3-in-One Leave-In is a cheaper one.
Ooooh great tips!!! Thank you :)
First you're stunning 🥰. From what I've heard hair oil only works on wet to damp hair. As the oil doesn't penetrate the hair dry. It can only absorb if the hair is wet to damp to apply it to get inside the cuticle. If not it just sits on top and doesn't do anything. 💖
You inspired me. You really don't know, how you will look with grey hair, unless you have it. I'm going grey from February.
You are so right! Thank you and way to go! Keep strong and good luck :)
Svetlana - You can always buy a cheap grey wig to try it out at home and see how you look first
Thank you Maria. The behaviour points are really interesting and you are very motivational. I'm 20 weeks in and admit to struggling a bit right now but will persevere.
it is a tough time but I promise if you power through it is SO WORTH IT!
Yes! it is freedom!!! 7 mos. into it... loving it! (and I don't plan on cutting mine til its very long, its past my shoulders now, and I use a toner on the blonde ends). I love going all natural...and after all the years of maintaining a fake color...I am so excited at just being me!
This sounds so exciting! So happy!
Thanks you. I am taking the lockdown opportunity to grow my colour out.
Thank you for watching and good luck!!!
You made some really good points about people wanting you to stay the same when your trying to go grey.
Thank you for watching :)
Try watching this video: ua-cam.com/video/L1UGGTCTbIo/v-deo.html
There are quite a few curly haired ladies.
And therefore they are admired because of that and often seen as sexy.
interesting!
Take care.
Thank you for your comment! I am glad you made the change.
I made a promise to myself to grow it
all out before I decide to keep it or not. Also, I have waves, so I enjoyed your demo of your products. I have trouble with polyquats, which are in the Beach Bomb. They stick to my hair
and I have to wash my hair 2 to 3 times to get it off my hair! Not sure why I have that problem,
but I do. Some polyquats are much worse than others. I'm looking forward to more videos!
Thank you for your continuous support - it means so much and keeps me going! I have never heard of polyquats negative effects. The video coming out on Monday is about a purple shampoo product I've been using, so maybe it will help?!
Love having grey hair 👩🦳. I have been grey for a couple of years.
I started during the Quentine it's so freeing dont miss coloring it. True points..
Awesome!
I'm starting to look around at other people's hair more as well and I see a lot of women whom are older than me and whom are still coloring their hair. Obviously if they like that, then more power to them. I just don't want to be 60, 70, 80yrs old and still trying to pretend that my hair is just naturally brown
Yes I use my purple shampoo once a month and mostly in the summer I find I don't need it as much in the winter and my grey is alot like yours
Love your video! I’m only 5 months into my gray hair journey! Very encouraging and informative video! Thank you 😊
I am so happy you found this useful - good luck with your journey! Won't be long now :)
Thank you for this well-timed advice! 3 months in to grow out ... focusing on freedom ;-)
Yes! 3 months is hard, so be strong! It is going to be so beautiful!
Try Olaplex no. 6 for a leave in conditioner. It is amaaazing. The shine, the moisture, and no oily look. Jack Martin, the famed grey colorist, uses it.
Thank you , i will look into it!
Love finding new silversisters on here!! Followed and can’t wait to watch more of your content!!!❤
Lockdown seems like the ideal time to make the change. I am super excited to be done with hair color.
yeah you are!!! so freeing isn’t it??
@@CoolSustainable I am very close. I'll send you a picture when I'm there!
Nice video. I am trying to transition so this was good for me. I turned 60 this year and am so tired of paying for the upkeep of the color. I just wish it didn't take so long to grow it out. lol. I was on the short end of the stick when it came to passing out patience. haha
Good information. Going grey now as of 5/20/20!
yay! be strong!
Thanks for this video. I am trying to go grey. 👍
Super! I hope you stick through it :) It is worth it!!
Excellent advice and encouragement. Loved how you said 'me and grey hair are friends!' So Sweet!!
Thank you! :)
Wow what a great hubby you have there! He is right, you know :)
Great video, thank you so much for sharing your experience! I am starting to get grey hair and I plan to never color it. Will see how it goes :) Anyway, I wish the sound would be better, it was hard to listen with that much noise.
Still grey and I love 💕 it. It’s grown out now into a lovely Bob length hairstyle now. Never going back. Xxxxxxxx
thank you so much for your enlightening thoughts on why people close to us seem so negative about our going gray. (i call my gray my covid color. )
I started this journey 17 months ago. Interestingly, all the good looking men in my life were very encouraging and supportive, but all the females in my life were totally discouraging and were completely against it. So glad I never listen to naysayers.
Same. Women say the worst things to my face.
Will check it out, although, I’m trying to stay away from social media these days, but did find many groups there very helpful in the past.
cat mom-vinyasinya Absolutely! It’s much more peaceful to just embrace it. ☺️
Your hair looks fine (you keep saying you should have brushed it). I would give a lot for that amount of natural curl or turn in your hair.
I don't see the link or names for the hair oils you mentioned. Thanks.
I made my decision 3 years ago after a stylist botched a keratine treatment and I can't be happier! The worst comment (from my own father): you're making ME feel old!!!
ugh! i bet he doesn’t even think about it now... does it look great?
I wash my hair once a week. It took me a few months to get to this point, but I love it. I do rinse it every few days so it doesn't get oily, but not using shampoo keeps it from getting too stripped.
nice! Do you rinse it with just water?
@@CoolSustainable Yep, I just run it under the water quickly when I take a shower. I initially started doing that because my short hair would stick up everything and I'd have to wet it with a spray bottle. It was just easier to do it while I was taking a shower. My Mom has longer hair and has started doing it, she can go an entire week before she washes her hair. I do it every time I take a shower but she only does it a few times between washes.
Late to the party but I'm glad that gray hair actually is a fashion statement I look forward to getting older and rocking gray hair
yeah!!! it is necessity for me now but it is trendy in some circles.
@@CoolSustainable but having the trend helps me I'm probably younger than you but I'm in my mid-thirties and I've always heard that women shouldn't have gray hair but I like it. I also don't want to waste afternoons and entire days just dying my hair
@@avictoryrollvintage3713 That is exactly why I stopped! (I am 34 :P)
I started going gray at 47,I m now 51 but it's graying so super slow.Anyway I am inspired by the process it's more of what I discover about my inner being.
This is so lovely! A patience builder.
Going grey 4 months into transition love it can't wait to be grey 😍
power to you!!!!!
Very inspiring and helpful!!
Great tips! I love your hair too!!
Thank you for joining the grey hair goddess gang :)
Best way if you are growing white hair out
Put white streeks in your hair very simple it will all blend together and the re goth blends togethet
I tried that but did not get a skilled hairdresser! Turned out yellow haha
Love your gray hair you have inspired me to grow out my gray hair, I have tried before but bottled out feel readily to do it.
Thank u for an inspiring video 😊 love my grey hair 👏🏻 take care be safe - life is so much more than ’different shades of grey’ - its living it to the fullest being proud being here right now sharing love and respect towards eachother and have a laugh 😉
wow well said! b that you for your motivation!
Thank you. Appreciate what you have and make the best of it :)
I don’t have a full head of grey yet but I have some strands that are dark-grey-dark which I also didn’t expect
Yes, I am getting more and more browns strands in the back as well. Its kind of fun - sort of like natural highlights :)
Does your hair grow fast? I have a year's worth of growth and it's only to my eye level - I am amazed how long yours is!!
Well it has been a year since I have been fully grey- it was down to my chin then. I think it grows a bit faster than most bit not craY fast.
Same i am 8 months in and probably will be at my eye level by 12months
Eating raw liver will grow your hair fast, fyi

I buzz my long hair 58 next year let’s grade then I realize only more noticeable in natural outside lighting. Canadian born Chinese heritage and I don’t need purple shampoo because it typically never really died my hair. Only semi permanent black blue shampoo box dye... And thank goodness I’m not talking to my family, they know how to push my buttons and haven’t heard from them for a year and a half since my heart attack 2019
Hi! Just starting my grow out. When should I began using the purple shampoo on my gray? Btw,Your hair is beautiful. Thx😊
Thank you very much :)
hi..i hope you read my message..i have also lots of gray hair..at the age of 39 at this year...every 2 weeks im using haircolor just to cover my gray hair..but i am so tired for every 2weeks to cover it..i am also thinking to let my hair becomes gray..but im afraid if its good to my face or to my look..i hope you will advice me..thank you..god bless
you honestly will never know until you try....
I don't wash hair every day but I do tend to rinse with plain warm water when I shower...is that good ot ok?
if it works for you then of course!!!
Hello there! I also, just a few weeks ago, decided to grow out my dyed hair. This might take a while, but I can't stand dying my hair any more!
Embrace the grays!!
oh yay! it is just hair after all - and it is beautiful once the grow out process is complete :) Good luck!
Thank you! 😊
